EASY FIX: Delta Faucet Drip Repair 

THANK YOU! I have had a leaking sink for a year. I'm so ashamed to say that but I am fixing it tonight!

I've looked at a fair number of 'how to' videos. This is one of the better ones I've seen. Very clear and easy to follow. Helpful for someone like me who's never done this before. Thank you!

Thanks for your video. I have two dripping faucets, exact same model in your video. However, I cant remove the cap, with adjustable wrench. It doesnt move at all.

Thank you for your video. One note I wanted to mention. I was unable to remove my bonnet nut with my channel locks. I found that a 32mm deep socket would fit the top the bonnet. Most sockets have a progressive slope at the entrance which makes it difficult to engage the shallow bonnet nut. Using a hacksaw I trimmed about a quarter inch off the opening of the 32mm socket. This allowed the entrance of the socket to be flat and fit the bonnet perfectly. I was able to remove the nut easily with my ratchet. Hope this helps someone else.

Don't you have to use plumbers grease on the rubber seals?

This is an excellent video. I groaned when I saw 11:30 minutes, but it was great content from start to finish; no useless filler. The only issue I had was getting the nylon part (not sure what to call it) aligned with the slot guide. I needed to apply a lot of down pressure to get the outer housing threaded. When all was said and done, the handle is just a little 'off' meaning when I return the handle to the 'off' position, it's slightly to the right... When you showed the process of using a screwdriver to align the nylon part, what you were doing was obscured by your hand in the video. So I'm not sure what you did to get it 'right.' I tried moving it into the right position with a screwdriver while pushing the housing down, but didn't have much luck. I'm sure it'll bug me enough that I'll try to redo it at some point, but at the moment I'm very happy that the drip is fixed. Thanks again!

I think I stripped the hex screw in the lever... am I able to purchase another hex screw or should I purchase another handle?

Mine has been dripping for a couple years now lol Just worked too much to have someone come out and now I may just try to fix it myself 👍🏽

Thank you so much! I have replaced the seats and springs but still have a leak. I think the yellow rubberey thing that the seats sit in, is compromised somewhere because it leaks out just under that bottom silver housing(what you called a bonnet cap) . Is there a way to replace that piece (the yellow rubbery piece ) without replacing the whole faucet? Or is there something else that could be causing this. It only leaks out from underneath the bonnet when I turn it on.

My set screw won’t go in all the way after the repair. What could be wrong or what can I do?

How to tell the seat/spring is bad or good? After turn shutoff valve, if still drip, do you need to turn off main valve?

My faucet is the same as yours but my leak is not coming out the faucet spout but is leaking at the underside of the faucet where the copper pipes bring water into the faucet. Will replacing the two springs and two washers as you do in your video also fix this kind of leak or does it mean I have a serious enough problem that I need to replace the entire faucet?
