Will try this it is worse with my higher irons 8/9/W I was always good with these but since my driving and fairway club strikes have massively improved and thank you 😊 I have started hooking the ball a thing I never did
@@sammccormick4504 maybe buy one length clubs 7-5/4 and still use our current 7 and play the one length 7 as 6 iron I hear their loft jacked so I would still probably use my current 7 iron I’m considering this option
Well explained Ali, I like the shot data as well. I have this problem of hooking my short irons, so much so that I miss the green from 100 yards ! I’ve tried moving my feet around and now I know why that didn’t work, my club path was even more in to out. I’m looking forward to trying this on the course this week
Thanks for this tip, Ali. I assume one ultimately needs to get back to the correct ball position; do you have some suggestions for that slow progression back to the correct set up?
Ali wouldn’t this also mean less forward shaft lean, more delivered loft and a higher ball flight? Which might be good if you’re hitting a dippy hook, but not necessarily what every golfer needs?
Great Video Ali. I had the identical swing path problem. My Club Pro advised the same tip as you’ve suggested. It worked a treat, but ball position at set up did feel somewhat strange to start with. Keep safe buddy. 👍👍
I have noticed this, and I can push it to the right if I move the ball back as well. My only concern is that I seem to be inconsistent. So I hook one ball, and if I move it forward in my stance, then the next time I would hook it worse, because that swing I straightened my club path out...so I guess I need to be more consistent with my club path...
Would that be the same if you hit a high right shot with a driver, if I had the ball more back in my stance, would that help with a more straighter shot ?

If you actually hook and draw the golf ball, this video will NOT help you. Moving the ball up in your stance is NOT a long term solution and depending on your swing may create even more in to out club path and even more draw. Watch a video on swing path and try to have your club face pointing to the sky (as opposed to the ground) at finish.
