I appreciate you saying "towards the passenger side" and counterclockwise. So many times in these videos they never say which way and there is zoomed in so close that you can't tell anyway so good work on that.

Thank you. It gets confusing when you are upside down and backwards, so it really helps to be clear on those kind of things. Thanks for watching!

Hey, Danny. This was a great video. I have a 2003 Yukon that is overdue to have the fuel filter replaced and your video was exactly what I needed to see before doing it. Camera angles were excellent.

I wish GM kept the fuel filter external on the rail like this for newer trucks / suv . From 2007 on newer they are all inside the fuel tank. Unfortunately no one is going to service it unless their pump assembly fails.

Hi how often should this get done?? This is my first truck 2013 gmc sierra we change the oil faithfully every 2600 to 2900 miles check the fluids abput every 200 miles. We are getting 12.4mpg never knew anything about changing fuel filter until seeing someone talking about it on a rv video
@dannyjohnsonsgarage
@dannyjohnsonsgarage 4 года назад
20,000-40,000 miles is the suggestion- of course many things apply such as driving conditions and if you drive on dirty roads etc. On your model they may have moved it to be inside the fuel tank as part of the pump. Look for it under the driver door area, but you may not have one accessible. Check out this one on my 2001 GT. Probably never replaced! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wTMjvg0ZoTA.html

@@dannyjohnsonsgarage : IN it or NEAR it? Either way when I get home I am crawling under that truck till I find it. I just spent $600 on having new wires, plugs and intake gaskets installed and it still runs like crap. I hope it is not in the tank.
@dannyjohnsonsgarage
@dannyjohnsonsgarage 5 лет назад
In the tank as part of the assembly from what i’ve been told
@goaheadmakeourdayscooterpe6724
Had a 01 years ago that looked worse than those so instead of risking snapping off those rusty lines I said F that filter sold the truck 3 years later and that new filter is still on the shelf.

@@Mcnutts3 gotcha. I have a 14 and I pumped gas in it and when I went to turn it on it cranked but didn’t turn on. Took a couple tries for it to turn on. It’s been a month now and if it’s cold it starts right up if it’s warm it might start on the first try if not it’ll definitely turn on on the 2nd try

Did you relieve the fuel pressure as shown in the beginning of the video? If so it's going to still spray until the line is depressurized- so dont get it in your eyes and if you're in a garage, open the door

Is it the same for 2004 silverado 1500
@dannyjohnsonsgarage
@dannyjohnsonsgarage 5 лет назад
Minister Victor Simmons Yes, it should. Just look under the driver door and if you see the filter, it’s the same process. It should be the same up until 2007

The newer trucks may have it incorporated in the fuel pump system, so you wouldn’t change it until you change the fuel pump
