Easy Guide to get Secret Badge "Alone, at The End of The World" | Guts & Blackpowder

It may be easier to do this with the same strategies on other maps such as Vardohaus Fortress.

That music playing really goes well with the "I am all alone" vibe

The bomb zombie is a blessing and a curse at the same time. It destroys your buildings, but, on the other hand, destroys the horde too.

I remember how we got to wave 30 or smth at this map with a whole squad. And then randomly one officer just starts singing Skyfall in the chat as we start to lose. "Where you go I go..." The barricades start to break "What you see I see..." Bombers explode the barricades "I know I'd never be me... Without the security..." First line of Sappers die "Of your loving arms... Keeping me from harm..." Two medics and a priest die from runners and bombers "Put your hand in my hand... AND WE'LL STAND!" He uses the charge and all of us run into our final destiny "Let the sky fall... When it crumbles..." He texted... before dying miserably...

And remember people, patience is key. You're probably not going to get the badge first try, took me a long while to get it. Don't panic, don't spam axe swings, analyze which zombies are on the other side of the barricade, and most important tip - have hope in yourself that you are able to do it.

I actually got alone at the end of the world first try with this technique! Thanks for sharing this technique to me and others who need it. :) Heres a sub matey!

I TRIED THIS ON MULTIPLE MAPS AND FAILED AT WAVE 17-18 EVERY TIME BECAUSE THERES ALWAYS ONE RUNNER OR SHAMBLER JUMPING OVER MY BARRICADE

did the same technique in this video I follow. for some damn reason, the bombers climbed up first when the wave started, I mean like 2 bombers came up first and explode 3-5 barricades right after the huge horde of shamblers, runners and zappers came up after those 2., and yes I died. I did this more than 5 attempts in one server, more than 3 hours. and I finally got the hidden achievement, I'm finally done with that trauma and nightmare.

Thanks for the strat, it really helped me get the badge. I also had this funny moment at wave 18 where it appeared that all of the bombers started exploding after spawning, killing every other infected. I didn't want to come down but it sounded just like that.

Thank you so so much for helping me with this achievement, took me a total of 5-6 hours but it was worth it I implemented the same strategy in a different spot in the same map, i almost lost the final wave but i was saved miraculously by a bomber and i was able to complete the achievement, your strats really helped me out and i know how to play sapper much more efficiently now

You get this achievement for truly being the main character

You can place stakes next to the ladders (above the ladders) it will damage the stragglers and die while they cant do anything because are in a climbing animation, they also move alot during climbing so stakes would work perfectly

But then the next day, i saw this video and tried it out. Died the first time around wave 13, but then, after quite a while of trying, i got it on my second try. Thank you so much. You know I tried to get this achievement and I found out that a zombie wound try to break the barricade even if your right next to them. So you can just repair it and place more barricades in the meantime, but remember to repair the barricade so that the zombie's targeting wouldn't change.

this worked on what i think was my fourth try, thank you very much! I didnt use the repair tactic instead i just cut it very close for when i was hitting bombers and when they detonated.

I would like to share my strat here for anyone having trouble with camping: Go to Hougomont, play as seaman (blunderbuss and sabre), equip grenades, go to the large area at the back when you spawn, just play normally because there’s not much zombies. Starting from wave 7, melee all runners first, shoot if a bomber appears at the door, toss a grenade, start running in circle and melee all zombies, repeat until the end of the run Notes: - Do not reload after your first shot, even if there are still some bombers left. Wait until the end of the wave - You should always have at least one grenade left for emergency - Make sure you stay in the area so no zombies can spawn at the back Leave a feedback if you want idk (I made this strat because I’m a terrible camper lol, even after this strat. Mostly because I’ve gotten used to free run strats from multiple games so whenever I see a large area with little to no obstacle, I just instinctively decide to run around that same area until I die)

how do you fix a part where some zombies attack/focuses on your barricades at the back/other side? because im having that problem rn and idk how to resolve it

Tried this method, took me 5 tries but I eventually got the badge. Best strategy for alone at the end of the world and it's pretty easy.

As an Old Guard Veteran, I find this strategy pretty smart and is really helpful if you are looking forward to getting the badge. It might require some practice.

Spare only one shambler to prepare your barricades

hougoumount is one of the best maps to do this cause right next to spawn there are staircases that you can place stakes ontop and will kill any kind of zombies but take note that in the first wave for some reason you cant build anythign on the roof but it will be fixed on the 2nd wave and some tips if you are gonna do it on that map dont place anything near those stakes because a bomber can explode the near builds like inside the house stuff make it so that you dont place anything close to it and if your in danger go inside the house through the window if the stakes are gone it took me about 10 tries to get to wave 20 but if i were to learn everything from the start it would be easily a map that would only take about 3 tries to complete

I got it using a weird glitch on the same map. In the hallway next to the big fire if you place a barricade at a *very* specific spot, you can fuck with the Pathfinding of the zombies and make them take weird but importantly long ways to get to you, allowing you to do a number of things

I tried this on console, but the books and bottles were blocking my buildings, so I couldn't place them correctly.

Better is to use sapper in vard endless, build barricades and caltrops before the entrance build 2 unfinished barriers to auto detonate bombers also build outside the 2 side windows(2 barriers) and 1 on the side window in the upper floor of the house before the shed. Congratulations you have no bombers in ur a way and a good setup! Edit: don't do above strat I tested this with the unfinished barricade trick and it is better use it instead.

If you want a higher chance, wear the siege engineer armour. Helps you against them pesky bombers if you accidentally melee it.

I actually did this strat with little to no struggle, most of the zombies kept dying at spawn. Thanks for this!

im in one of those bugged servers where the bombers explode on their own rn. its helpful asl, only downside is at the beginning of each wave, the code that highlights the final zombies in red goes off prematurely. this results in me not being able to truly know where the last zombies are. as of writing this at wave 11 they've stopped exploding on their own. how sad!

i did the guide same as you but in wave 19 i had to jump off the bridge and one of the shamblers luckily i hit them all like if it was 4 or 5 of them one grabbed me but luckily the other one was coming slow i hit 2 shamblers and got that badge

I don't know why that happened because it was next to the stairs with a barricade built and runners went up through the closet and then the other shamblers followed them.

I’ve done wave 20+ solos on all the endless maps except for tyro, so I tried a strat similar to this on tyro and I was at most able to get to wave 19 before stupidly hitting a bomber with my shove. I’ll probably try this again though (on tyro) cuz it was kinda working.

Since this video has come out the zombies now tend to grab you through your barricades

The only issue its, when i try the command change map, and type the name of the map, it says it isnt valid

I was at round 19 and it was the last zombie and i was on 1 hit kill hp and when i attacked it, it attacked back and we both died and i got the badge even if i died so heres a sub

Cool strategy, but you could prevent barricade explosions. Bombers are triggering on non-built barricades, so you could place one in the white hall to get bomber triggered. Non-built barricades have no collision, so shamblers and other crap would go through it.(I hope anyone got my point)

i found a way to do it with more players. how? When theres one zombie left the other guy resets and the guy getting alone at the end of the world will deal with the final zombie I TRIED THIS WITH MY FRIEND AND IT WORKED

This is a perfect strategy. However, in my runs, I can't place my barricades close to the ladder, and instead have to back up farther into the wall. This doesn't feel like a problem at first, but now I keep dying on waves 18 or 19 because the bomber's path finding is either messed up and not killing the hoards as much, or it just decides not to do it's job. Each run I do I get less and less motivated to get the badge, and it's very boring doing the same thing over and over just to die because of something that I couldn't control. Idk if they nerfed how close you could put your barricades to the ladder, but I need some advice in what to do, because I'm honestly confused what I'm doing wrong. I might be putting my barricades to close, but also in my runs, the zombies path finding breaks and decides to go around the top of the barn to the end of my barricades instead of the start, where I am. This confuses me and I just hate doing this strategy perfectly only to find out I lost because of something the game did, rather than something I did. TLDR; The game keeps making me lose because the bombers are killing the hoards as they should be, the path finding keeps breaking on the zombies, I can't place my barricades close to the ladder like he did, and now I'm getting demotivated. (HELP!!!!)

La haye sainte easier in my opinion, because the zombies could fall down and they cant make a big horde. And its easier to fix the barricades.

1:06 you don’t actually have to move back and forth you can stand in the middle of the barricade and they won’t grab you while your still in range to hit them with the axe

On wave 15 i had an unexpected glitch. I would see the zombies liek marked far away from the map and i just hear explosion from the bomber zombies. The bomber zombies kept killing the other zombies for some reason and it kept doing this until wave 20 so i got it and the glitch stopped at the perfect time

For better bimber control put an unbuilt baricade in the door cuz it triggers bombers before getting to you

Ngl just shoving the last zombie while u rebuild is better, gives you more time to prepare, but you still did it so

Also use axe instead of pickaxe, so you have kill the hordes faster and more damage. Trust me, axe is good for this badge
