Those look amazing. I searched "pancakes from scratch" and scrolled until I finally found yours becuase yours was the only pancakes which looked like they had the crispy edges!!! Crispy edges are a necessity! Do other ppl not know this? Mind-blowing! P.S. I use butter for the pan and it still gets the edges nice and crispy. You just gotta get the skillet good and hot. The butter might brown sometimes but I haven't really noticed a difference in taste when it does. Using oil seems way easier though. I might have to try it. I just love butter so much I like to use it as often as possible.

Realized I was out of pancake mix...totally eye balled the ingredients here and amazed by the results! Even better than the box mix! Thank you so much!💗 Btw, didn't have lemon and used a couple teaspoons of apple cider vinegar instead...the combination was perfect!

Ma'am..... Ma'am..... I made these yesterday and I must say!!!... The pancakes were beyound delicious! Moist! Fluffy! Crunchy ends! Flavorful! Unbelievably Outstanding!!! I said I would only eat 1 but ended up consuming 3!! Im so glad the stores were out of Pancake mix. Sometimes it takes being inconvenienced to bring unknown special treasures out of us! 😊😊❤❤ This recipe will firebrick be my go-to recipe!
After dropping the batter in the pan, try sprinkling some fresh small blueberries on top. If you’ve never had real maple syrup give it a try, it jacks up the YUM factor X10.
I just made your pancakes. They were banging. So next time I’m not gonna add the sugar or maybe a lot less of the sugar. I felt guilty because I ate all those pancakes by myself. I feel so guilty right now.
So today was fist day making pancakes. Now I’m aware that usually multiple pancakes are cooked at the same time, but I cooked one at the time and for every pancake I made I buttered the pan. Is this something you have to keep doing or do you butter the pan only once?
These are the best pancakes i have ever eaten in my life. The only modification I made was at the end I added a little bit more milk to thin them out a bit. Perfect
So I just got done eating these as I'm typing this, it's been maybe two or three months since I last has buttermilk pancakes from the box mix but I'd say the taste is more or less the same'ish. Which is just to point out that you're not missing a ton on the taste end if you go with the box. These might be a little better though but as I said been a while since I last had pancakes so comparing taste from that. These were really good though, taste like I like my pancakes to taste and I even added a few vanilla chocolate chips to a few. One thing I would say is if you're making this for just you, maybe cut the ingredients in half. I made five pancakes, I use a half cup to scoop my batter so roughly that much per cake and I still had a good amount of batter left, probably enough for 3-4 more at least. Also if the batter seems a little thick it's fine, don't add any extra liquids. I thought the batter looked thick when I was done but it cooked out just fine.
This is exactly how my mom made them, the crispy edges beautiful color. The only thing different is she used corner of spatula made 3 slits in each pancake after turning so it cooks through. Perfection madam.
First of all….bless you and the voodoo that is this recipe. I was looking for a new recipe and this one right here is the best. They are absolutely delicious and my family is addicted. I’ve never seen my boys behave as well as they do when they’re waiting for these pancakes. My husband and daughter all but battle for the last one. Thank you
