I just made a pink gold ring following your tutorial! It turned out very pretty! 💕 I used pink gold color artistic wire 20 gauge as I didn’t have 18, and used 24 gauge to wrap a real 6mm turquoise bead and a very sparkly AB Czech bead! 😊 I didn’t flatten the wire as it wasn’t a solid wire but just used a soft hammer to work harden. It turned out very pretty! 💖 Love your tutorials and congrats on your baby!

So beautiful! I've just started learning about making wire jewelry and was looking for something easy, but still very pretty to be my first wire creation. Most of the tuts I've watched weren't my style but then I came upon your tutorials. I love it, definitely my style and easy enough for me to make with my Arthritic hands. I can't wait to make more of your jewelry. Thank you for being very precise with your instructions and taking your time to explain exactly what you're doing.

+Jocelyn D. Without comparing I wouldn't know. I buy it like that, don't anneal. Maybe I should anneal a little. But I suspect I'm just this side of inept. Or you have warmer hands; certainly you don't take any nonsense from that wire, which is a knack I'm still trying to master :) Absolutely love your instructional videos, forgot to mention. Thanks for all your hard work on them.

Another great project, Jocelyn. I've made several of these from copper, and how I love the dappled wire. It adds such a sparkle, doesn't it? I ALWAYS learn something from your tuts. Had not ever flattened the wire before dappling, and I took note of how you meld the smaller gauge wire by gently squeezing it around the larger wire with your pliers as you go, with each partial wrap. These things make the difference in a professional looking piece versus an amateur. Now, for the courage to do one with my sterling.......I love copper, too, but....sterling is my all-time favorite in jewelry. I've done a few of the dainty rings....the ones you wear partially up your finger, and tried a couple of the weaving techniques. Could you give us a go on a weaving project? Just to let you know how captivated I am in watching your vids.....being a rather fidgety individual, I am usually doing SOMETHING else while I watch a vid....trying to make use of time, as there seems not enough in a day. BUT, I've caught myself....just watching....nothing else, while into one of your tuts. You're just a natural at teaching. I can't thank you enough for sharing all this knowledge with us.

Very nice! I'm going to make some for kids in my neighborhood and show them how to make these easy rings, using aluminum colored wires. Easy and fun! Note: I would not cut the wires ahead of measuring. Measure ring around a mandrel first, cut to size a bit smaller. After hammering it gets longer. The bead wires are best if not precut. Easier to tuck in one corner then bead, then cut and wrap.

I am a huge fan of yours. You inspired me to start wire wrapping and I have made many things that people love and I created my own twists and different styles. I am currently a very high risk pregnancy and I'm on bed rest. Your videos are helping me through my cabin fever ,and hard times. I lost a girl in February almost died in the process. It was the worst thing to happen in my life. I'm still not over it I never will be but this baby is my hope, to make matters worse my fiancé I found out has been lying to me for a year and has told many stories to many woman and when caught for attempting to be unfaithful he lied like I'm gullible and ignorant. sorry for ranting lol I commented to tell you I would really love to see you do side drilled briolette gemstone pendants, they are giving me a hard time it's a fairly big amethyst side drilled briolette that I've been trying to do but can't. I have 20 &28 gauge 1/2 hard to work with. and if you could wrap a few and wrap a stone like your you tube profile picture I would be ecstatic. that one is goregeous. Thank you so much, your my hero.

For someone who's never dabbled in jewelry making, I enjoyed this tutorial very much. Out of curiosity, approximately how much does the supplies cost to make one of these rings? I'm not looking to sell them but rather as a hobby to ward off boredom due to recent disability. I acrylic flow paint but find im not very creative, so I waste a lot of expensive paint, lol. Maybe making pretty jewlrey to give as gifts would be a better suit for me. Well, if it's not overly expensive.
@FantasiaElegance
@FantasiaElegance 5 лет назад
Hello and thanks for watching! Jewelry making is a wonderful hobby, especially in a situation like yours. It can be very economical, if you use cheaper wires like silver-plated, copper etc. I've done a video on good budget wires for beginners here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xJXuC7mGlBQ.html You can also get very inexpensive beads, crystals, etc. on sale at local craft stores like Michael's and Jo-Anne's. If you sign up for their free mailing or email lists, you can regularly get fantastic coupons, too! To answer your question, if you were to get some cheap crystals or other beads on sale, and used something like copper or aluminum wire, I don't see why you couldn't make a ring like this for about 50 cents in materials. Obviously if you use sterling silver and Swarovski crystals, it will be substantially more, though still not as much as you might think. I hope that helps :)

Jocelyn D. I'm in utter awe of your work and skills. I've been practicing several different pieces of yours using craft wire. It's not as easy as you make it appear. You look like your squeezing your pliers with a fair amount of pressure but it doesn't look like you ever leave indentations or marks on the wire. How do you manage that? I ruined quite a few designs because I "chewed" up the wire.

Just love your videos I started doing bead work and a little bit of wire wrap almost 2 years ago and your videos help so much when I get stuck. I was wondering do we have permission to sell our finished piece from your videos ? I also was wondering if there is any way you can do a wolf head in wire ? I would love to learn how to make one !! Many Blessings and Thank you for sharing with us all !!!

Very nice! Am headed to the store right now to purchase sterling wire & give this project a try. Thanks for sharing. Instructions are easy to follow & easy to make with a variety of stones. Good job!

Hi Jocelyn, I just watched some of your tutorials and I became interested in trying some out, but I want to ask if there is a difference if I used either 18 or 20 gauge and 24 or 26 gauge?

X23lily32X from personal experience, though the wires seem very close in size, there's a difference in how solid the finished piece feels and how durable it is. That said, the finer gauges are easier to work with and can look better on smal (child-sized) hands.

Did I say that at some point? I must have started to say something else and stumbled on my words, haha
