What are you making dear?? If u think adding coconut oil to anything would make it "kerala style ", then u r highly mistaken...i've never seen anyone starting with that much water to prepare chicken curry, and that too "kerala style"???.. nooo neverrr.. if you have to make a healthier versions, then please avoid mentioning name of authentic cuisine's.. you can freely call it your own recipe.. why to mislead others??
Iam from kerala r u thinking kerala people are soo bad we kerala people are so brilliant in every field ... plz mind ur words before speaking. Why should shilpa mam remove the word kerala
No one in Kerala cooks chicken curry like this. Was excited to see Shilpa cooking kerala chicken curry, but you disappointed this time. Yes it's easy, yes it's chicken, yes it's curry, but definitely not Kerala style😐
In kerala we saute the onions first in coconut oil n use curry leaves here n in almost all our curries.we do not boil water n onion for any chicken curry...its totally misleading.title must be an easy chicken curry n not kerala style.
Whatttttttt!!!!...🤣🤣🤣🤣....sorry to say but this is nothing like kerala style chicken curry.....your team definitely can do better next time...all the best...
Thiz a is not kerala chicken curry, it's something else, chicken curry by using 4 ingredients, that's enough, Kerala chicken curry is so soo delicious, beyond words.
Don't know who has told you this to be kerala's chicken curry but it's probably the blandest chicken recipe I've ever seen!!!Kerala is known for its really spicy and flavorful curries which is almost always sauteed in coconut oil.. I've actually tried some your recipes before and they've turned out good but this is just...😕🙄
ദേവ്യേ.. 😵😵ഇതാണോ കേരള സ്റ്റൈൽ ചിക്കൻ കറി 🤮🤮... കണ്ടിട്ട് ചൈനീസ് സ്റ്റൈൽ ചിക്കൻ രസം വെച്ച പോലുണ്ട്... adding cocunut oil doesnt mean its kerala style....ആരോ പറഞ്ഞു പറ്റിച്ചതാ...
Chicken is made in different styles in different kerala cuisines viz malabar style chicken curry (of northern kerala), chicken ularthu (kottayam style), chicken piralan, chicken varutharachath (made with dry fried and then ground grated coconut with a bit flavouring spices, of middle kerala cuisine), the alappuzha style of chicken preparation (a bit similar to chicken piralan), travancore style. In fact, chicken recipe itself has been touched in different ways in different regions of kerala. Madam, i m a big fan of you, and your healthy lifestyle, but this effort by you match in no ways with the kerala style chicken recipes. And I am sure, criticisms shall be taken positively.
My maiden is Kunder and I married to Nair. In kannada we roast many masala and grind it but in my husband side it's so easy and simple and very tasty. If u want to thicken more u can add one cup of coconut milk. U can use KLF Coconad oil my favorite (coconut oil) and some curry leaves for tulunad cooking.
it was more than 3 ingredients. Two different oils including salt, Kashmiri mirch, turmeric, onions. Not to mention didn't understand the need to dirty two pots🙄
I made it and believe me I am making it for my guest today..just leave the gravy a little bit to add stir fry vegetables... don't forget to add some cloves of garlic
Oh my god! What a disgrace to Kerala cooking! Ma’am you should venture into ONLY that field that suits you! You hv humiliated the good taste buds of Kerala!
Shilpaji im from kerala ... i have a suggestion add 1 tomato and a bit of garam masala too...tat gives the very actual flavor of the kerala chicken curry

Shilpa ji..gustakhi maaf. Ye Nahi Kerala style neither Mangalorian style chicken curry.. bechare wo prant ke log khudkushi karenge ye sab dekhake U can do better..n yess u will learn gradually..after u get involved..keep on trying.. Kitchen cuisine area is not that easy to handle...it takes years together consistently..its an art..a science a technique...n true love n interest for ingredients n end recipe...to satisfy not only hunger..of beloved one..but it's a mother's true love that she transforms into plate of her kids..beloved ones..to pamper
Dear friends, please don't try this. This lady is saying utter foolishness. Kerala's Chicken curry is not like this. If you want to prepare kerala chicken curry. 1st pour some oil in a non stick pan. After boiling the oil put some onions. And after that put one or two tomatoes add turmeric red chilles chicken masala cormandel powder and pepper powder . Close the lid of pan and cook for five minutes. After that add marinated chicken piece( which is marinated by using turmeric, coriander, pepper, chicken masala, pepper and ginger garlic paste )cook for 3 to 5 minutes like this and add some water and cook it for 30 mini. In the mean while add some curry leaves also. After 30 minutes your Kerala style chicken curry is ready.

First we will put coconut oil to the pan, then add sliced onions . When onions get brown we will add ginger garlic paste then add tomatoes . Then after that add sliced coconut pieces then keep frying for 1 or 2 minute then add 1 tablespoons chilli powder , 2 or 3 tablespoons dhaniya powder , 3 spoon black pepper powder, half spoon turmeric powder, thenchicken masala sa per our need 2 spoon garam masala then mix well and add water as prr our need the put all the chickens then add salt as per our taste then put the gas on hight fame the after 15 minutes keep the gas in low flame and then after 20 minutes kerala chicken curry ready.
