That was one insanely cool opening sketch! 👻 The shadow ghost effect was possibly my favourite along with the sheet pull (which I guessed correctly! *Yay*). The Mission Impossible mask pull was also really well done, I've been trying to work that one out for a while now but I've never really gotten to grips with the puppet tool (I might have to give it some more attention after watching this tutorial as it seems super useful). Looking forward to the next stream and tutorial! 👍

The mask effect (the one where you actually take of the mask) is so great! It looks more complicated than it is, though, it does require a lot of precision while filming.

Finally a really good video where you learn a lot. The last effect in particular is incredibly well done and I think with a few additional blood effects you can increase the effect even more...

Best tutorial in months! Seen several other AE tutorials on the "Scooby Mask" effect, but Puppet makes that a lot easier. Maybe should have mentioned that's a Pro-tier effect, mind you.

Your videos are always great. This one is challenging and highly enjoyable. I guessed how you did it only because I learned other tutorials on youtube. The last face mask with puppet fx was my favourite. I am currently working on a mirror fx with hit film and 3 masks to sort the result I have in mind. HitFilm is excellent and I find that it always allows me to turn my creativity into something real, step by step. I miss your Halloween competition, though. PS: You should produce and release a horror indie feature in cinemas! I pre-book my premiere tkt!

Love it! 👻👻 Now, how can we import a fluid simulation from blender to Hitfilm? I try to recreate the famous blood corridor scene from The Shining. Or would it be better to do this bit completely in blender?

You could export your similar as a PNG sequence on alpha and import into HitFilm for better compositing. I do this all the time for more control. Hope this helps! - Tom

Hi! This is a great question. I used Exposure Pro and keyframed the values of the Shadows randomly. Hope this helped. - Tom
