Me too! I have so much stuff frozen due to Christine and Jamerrill ( large family table). I don’t need to cook for 3 months and the garden just went in, lol. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️😉
Me too! Not a mum, not fit and not frugal. But I found out about no kneed bread from Christine. I literally love this channel. Oh and we just bought an air fryer because I was seeing lovely things that Christine was making. I love it!!! We’ve used it so much since we got it, like 5 times this week alone. We live in South West France, but I take so many amazing lessons from this channel. Hooray!!! 💛💙💜💚
Yaaay leftovers lol Or feeding friends, that's what I do when I make too much. My single guy friends love it when I stress bake too because I'm always offloading the goods onto them 😂🤣
"ope, he got kneed in the face.. is he gonna be okay? Good, they're hugging.. He's still sad.. Okay, dad's there". I love your real parenting, real cooking, real family, and real personality. New sub!
1st kid: OMG get to the ER, I think they've bumped their head on a soft-ball. Any other kids you have: I hear crying, is it one of ours? Is there blood? How much blood are we talking about? Like a teaspoon or a jug full? They got up by themselves so it's not that bad, they can walk it off.
Your reaction to getting the RU-vid plaque was probably THE most genuine things I've seen. Lots of RU-vidrs that post videos of them receiving those either come across as "no big deal" or whatever, but you can tell that it really impacted you and I love that.
I agree. I saw a lot of great reactions. I think it is a wonderful achievement and you should be proud because it's a lot of work putting videos and content together for the world.
"Are yall sick of me yet?" No. No were not Christine. Lol! Almost 46 minute video-all I could think was heck yeah! How many recipes are we getting??? Lol!
I’ve seen a few you tubers get their play button, and I’ve never really felt proud of them. Not like in a negative way I just didn’t feel anything. But I feel like soooo proud of you! I’m so happy for you!
"someone's crying, is he going to get over it?" Good mom right there. Watch's, but lets the child try to deal with it on their own to be self sufficient. More moms like that please.
Fun tip for making spaghetti sauce! When you're cooking the onions with the meat, add fennel seeds and paprika. That fakes the Italian sausage flavor but with a cheaper meat like beef or turkey, and it even works in a meatless lentil ragout too! It's much cheaper for me to do that, and then I have fennel seeds to use for other stuff too
Oooh nice tip! As far as I've seen we can't get Italian sausage in the UK so there's a lot of recipes I just have to pass on. I'll give this a try next time 😊
Dang girl! I'm exhausted from just watching you cook all of that lol! Seriously though, you are highly entertaining. Never stop just being you and doing things the FFM way. And a big congrats on your play button. You earned it and deserve it! Thanks for always bringing us great content. I know you've inspired me to cook so much more in the last 9 months or so that I have been following. Happy Saturday!
I'm single and living alone in Czech Republic and I watch Christine's videos on regular basis. There is something fun and calming about them otherwise I have no explanation :-D So such a long video was simply a treat!:) I was so sad when it was over!:)
I'd like to travel around a bit before I'm too old to do so, but I need to work for a few more years to pay off bills. Czech Republic is on my bucket list, if I'm able to get there.
@@kristinatidwell6563 You definitely should!:) Especially Prague is so worth it and everyone tends to love it:) I hope your dreams come true, dear Tina. Thank you for sharing them with me❤️
Congratulations on your plaque christine! You so deserve it! You have helped me get through this shelter in place i look foward every morning to sitting down with my cup of coffee & enjoying watching your videos! I have learned so much from you as we are also a large family of 8 i have been laid off & i have been cooking more than ever. When it comes to our large shopping trips im definitely trying to be more frugal & bargain shop like you! I really wana thank you christine & you need to know you are very appreciated! 🥰
@@FrugalFitMom Long Story about to ensue **** Kidneys failed in 2006 when I was 17. I did Peritoneal dialysis (you have a port in your abdomen & do it at home) from 2006-2012. In 2012 I received a kidney transplant but was warned it wasn't a great match. I accepted anyway since I had been waiting for so long. Well by the end of 2015 the transplant had failed and I had to return to dialysis. I went back on peritoneal dialysis but my abdomen was so warn out from the previous years of treatment the dialysis just wasn't working well enough. So I had to go on Hemodialysis which means you have a port in your arm & you have to go to a clinic 3 days a week to receive your treatment because they put 2 needles in your arm each treatment to filter your blood. So I go in at 5am & I get out around 10am every M, W, F. I will continue to do that until I receive another transplant. I am currently on a list but it's just a waiting game. Also because of the long term dialysis I've been on it made my parathyroid hormone out of wack which causes the calcium to be pulled from your bones. So last year I found out I had broke my hip & had been walking on it for 4 months 🤦♀️🤦♀️ (Had an xray when I began having hip pain & was told I was fine) anyway they said my bones were weak from the hormone being out of wack. So January of 2019 I had my parathyroid glands removed (which caused me to be in the ICU on a calcium drip for 19 days) then the very next day I went back in for surgery to have a rod put down my right leg to fix my hip. Good news is now that the parathyroid glands are removed my bones are getting stronger so hopefully no more broken bones. So to some it up I'm now 31, stay at home cat mom/cook for my mailman husband whose had one failed transplant & has been on dialysis off & on since 2006 & has recently recovered from a broken hip. I know it all sounds overwhelming but I'm doing ok. On a lighter note if you want to get some good laughs or have anyone else gets some good laughs.... check out my tiktok @erinlynnclampitt 🥰
@@erinlynnc280 WOW! What a trial you have been through, I am inspired by your positive attitude and sending internet hugs. I'll be thinking about you and hoping you get a better match this time around.
Yayyyyyyyyyy congratulations honey we lovvveeee youuuu ❤️❤️ Also don’t throw your egg shells away if you’re growing tomatoes and peppers crush them up and pop them in the soil xx so great for your plants xxxx Also banana skins are great for soil too xx I just stick them straight into the containers and cover with soil loads of good nutrients for your garden that would normally go in the bin xx waste not want not ❤️❤️🌶🌶🌻🌻
Watching you makes me appreciate my mom. I’m one of four with three brothers. We constantly ate her out of house and home. You make this look so effortless. I love and admire it.
I'm not sure I have ever heard anyone who didn't say he hated the sound of his own voice. We just don't sound the way we think we sound and that's why we usually hate hearing ourselves on tape. Think of some of the contestants on AI or AGT who THINK they have a great voice but when questioned they say they have never listened to a recording of their own voice. My brothers and I used to provide special singing in church. Sometimes we sang solos, sometimes duets, sometimes trios, sometimes quartets and when the whole family (8 children plus our dad) was involved we pretty much had our own choir! Our dad was the minister and we didn't really have any choice about whether we would sing or not. He made us practice and practice and practice until we were heartily sick of the song. He was part of a men's quartet when he was in college and he told us that they never sang a new song in church or on the radio until they had practiced that song at least a hundred times! That should give you some idea of how much he made US practice. He would also record us, on a reel-to-reel tape recorder...if anyone is old enough to remember those....and then play the songs back and make us critique ourselves. I HATED hearing myself on those tapes so I can totally understand why you would hate having to listen to yourself long enough to edit a LONG tape. If it's any consolation, those of us who are watching you LIKE the way you sound so don't be concerned if you personally think you sound weird. You don't!
I’ve watched you for ages, and love listening to you. The last 45 minutes flew by, and I was sad when the video finished. You are interesting, a bit quirky, and very funny. You are so natural in front of the camera, and it is a pleasure to be one of your long time subscribers. Congratulations on your achievement!
I’m sure you won’t see this, or someone has already commented this, but don’t put your knives in the dishwasher. They dull SO much faster and can chip.
I remember when I was first married I was tasked with making my in-laws family recipe for cheese cake for a family gathering back in ‘69. I almost got put out of the family! Lol! I made it and it turned out higher than anyone else’s! They were convinced that I had doubled the recipe! All I did was whip the daylights out of it! That made it lighter and fluffier! Lol!
Christine, I’m still watching this video, but I wanted to stop and say congratulations on your silver RU-vid button award. So proud to be a part of your RU-vid family 😁🤗. I also thought it was so sweet when Dave said that he’d have to build you something just for it. What an awesome husband and family you have!! God Bless you all and stay safe 🤗🙏🏻💕
I'm dying for that cheesecake!!! Your husband double forking it was hilarious!! And makes me want it even more. And 45 minutes is not to long to watch you... at least in my opinion
@@FrugalFitMom Hey...guess what I'm making this week..?? LIME CHEESECAKE. hahaha I have never used limes (only lemons, yum), but I bet it is going to be UH-MAZE-EEENG!!!
1st, congratulations on your RU-vid "button", very well deserved. 2nd, I love watching your videos, you are such a lovely family and you keep it real, not trying to be perfect. 3rd, I love seeing the cooking videos best, I have picked up quite a few new ideas to try and I need to definitely try the cheesecake soon. Thank you for these inspirational videos (not very often I use the word "inspirational") I look forward to them every day.
Hi - am a 2nd generation Jamaican/ Canada listening in Toronto, who loves to cook and loves entertaining and am also entering into my frugal journey. I love your ideas. Congratulations on your RU-vid recognition!
"Kids are all up in my grill." 🙌🙌 I have a 4 year old and 1 year old.... our bubble machine is gonna burn out quick... *Here kids, go pop some bubbles while momma cleans*
At 4, our mom used to give us our own damp cloth (just water) & we would "help" clean doors or floors etc or we'd help put washing in/out of the washing machine, hand her pegs for hanging the washing out etc... Means your kids learn they need to help out w house work from a young age & keeps em busy while you do the actual cleaning!
Congrats on your silver play. I’ve been down with pneumonia. My fourteen year old said when I came in the living room, mom you wanna watch your favorite cook tuber today? And I automatically knew he was talking about you. We enjoy watching your videos, long and short, then deciding what I will cook once I get better! Once I knew you had roots in Louisiana I knew why I felt you were a kindred spirit in spice!
I feel for your friend 😂 my husband won’t eat casseroles, soups, stews or curries...all those things are my favourite and are usually cheap to do..he drives me mental 😂
I LOVE LOVE long videos. Especially for meal prep and cleaning out YOUR pantry and fridge. It gives me ideas and inspires me. I will be moving out soon and I need to stay on a budget for food and your videos help me get ideas on what is possible
Loved this “long”video. I really enjoyed watching you make all of the delicious food especially the cheese cake. I make a great cheese cake myself, yours looks sooo good.I like berries as a topping.Always room for cheese cake ok now I have to run to the store for cream cheeseBTW Walmart’s brand cream cheese is more than .80 here😔 Windy Connecticut
Love, love and love all the food prep. I have been trying to diversify what I feed my family and your channel has been so massively helpful. Thank you!!
Pineapple and ham pizza? YES! In South America, we boil the pineapple peelings with cloves and cinnamon sticks for 30 minutes, add sugar ( or not) let it cool in summer, or drink it warm in winter! Talk about frugality señora!
One more tip, stick the top of the pineapple on a pot with soil and water it every now and then, yes you get a pineapple ( a mini but still) this will work better in a hot climate.
OMGOSH! YOU'RE AMAZING! I'm retired, empty nester, but I love the idea of meal preps for 1-2. I work part time and cook a lot of my lunches & dinners. The Banana Bread, the Granola, well everything looked delicious. Thank you for sharing. Congratulations on your award. I'm a new subscriber, so now you have 100,001....
Congratulations! I always look forward to watching u even though I'm nowhere near u. Also, pineapple fried rice or sweet sour pork with pineapples and bell peppers are my absolute fav.
That is how my family makes hamburger pie/Sheppard's pie. I have never known anyone else to make it that way. And it's also one my favorite meals as a kid too. 😍🥰
I'm totally worn out just watching you! You're a great person and a jewel to your family! It's awesome watching you cook and prep foods for your family!
... I respected you. I feel so disappointed... Pinnaple on pizza?! You broke my heart. (😂😂ofc I am kidding, no hate😂😂) Ps: also, thanks for answering about the gloves!!!
no apologies, was a great video. I'm astounded you can cook so much stuff, with so much going on and not burn everything!!!! Congratulations on the plaque!!! You and yours, stay well.
I ordered those bread pans from Ikea after watching your other bread videos. It took a couple weeks because of pandemic but I love those pans! Congratulations!
Congrats on your award!!!! So excited for you!!!! 💚 💛 💜 Thank you so much for all the great videos and all your hard work!! You are amazing and an inspiration to watch!!!! 💚 💛 💜
Your banana bread recipe is the only one I make now. It's amazing and I love that there are no special ingredients needed that I don't normally have in the house!
Crystal Henry I couldn’t eat apples for the longest time too. I would get really sick and have a lot of pain. If they were cooked then it was fine. So odd!
I just discovered your channel about a week ago, and now I’m nonstop just shuffling through your videos. You inspire me as a mom and wife. I thoroughly enjoy your positive nature and energetic personality 💕✌🏻
Congratulations on the RU-vid plaque. I'm proud of you. This video rocked. You do great things for your family. They always seem to enjoy your meals. I believe I would enjoy them, too. Yummy. 😋
Christine, I love watching your videos!! You are such an inspiration. You are a kind hearted spirit, who wants to help others. You are so human, which I appreciate. You are open and admit when you've done wrong, or have dirty dishes after cooking all day, which we can ALL relate to. Your bubbly personality makes me smile. You definitely deserved that RU-vid award!! Thanks for all you do.
You are my favorite You Tuber! I need to go back to when you started doing this and watch all your videos. You're always so busy and I'm curious what you do to relax ?.
I live in the US and I call it shepherds pie and I use hamburger meat. I understand what its called everywhere else. I grew up with it being called that. 🙂
Can I say I absolutely love watching you no matter how long! You are so real. You show life as it is, which I totally appreciate! Thanks again for all your videos!!
Nope, pizza needs no fruit other than the tomatoes. 2 of my 3 daughters like it and the other is allergic to most fruits....Bacon yes, pineapple noooooo
Congratulations 🎈🍾🎉🎊 That is so awesome! Your husband sounds so happy for you!!! So sweet ❤️ The create goes to you as well girlfriend! You have helped me and my family so much! Thank you 😊
