This man produced Flava In Ya Ear, Warning, Go Back to Cali, Machine Gun Funk, and more for Bad Boy. Puff was a damn fool for trying to jerk this man. Mo Bee had them bangers.
Puff is a straight-up credit thief, I peeped his mo back on the first Mary J Blige record. "What's the 411" had the production signatures of a beat digger, the Ohio Player's sample and echoing electric piano was in no way done by Puffy, yet his name is on the credits for that track as a producer. He stole that credit from some unnamed ,skilled beatmaker/producer. No way in hell he came up with that. He hasn't shown the skill nor taste to do a beat like that before nor after.
Puff only used Mo Bee for the streed cred bangers he gave Craig and Big...after thart was established, it was off to the races with the mainstream beat jacking.
Easy Moe Bee is a legend . In 1994 he took it to the next level and his beats had the best quality when it came to how it was mixed. It was on the same level of dr dre. With this said his beats really sounded good in your headphones and speakers , specially in the clubs. That was also a reason why flavor in ya ear was so big. Dont forget that he also produced classics for both Pac and big at the same time. This man is so underrated.
This icon produced Miles Davis' last album in 1993, and Pac n Big on at least 2 joints, plus G Rap, Kane, Gza, Slick Rick, Goodie Mob, Ras Kass, Rakim, Redman, Lady of Rage, Busta, Pun, Mobb Deep, Smif N Wessun, LL, Nas, Das EFx, Shaq and so many others...
Easy Moe Bee has some dope records for PAC , Big and others . But , if you think he next to Dre when it comes production and mixing you crazy . DJ Quik is the only producer who can mix , produce and engineer just as good or better than Andre Young .
@@slikron8536 Dre has teams of people doing instrumentation and production with him. Scott Storch, Daz, Above The Law, Colin Wolfe, etc all contributed to his output. Moe was always solo and put out top tier product. And "Going Back To Cali" is mixed as well as anything Dre has done, in that west coast sonic vein. It was also a genius flip on making a track we've all heard 1000x sound brand new.
@slikron8536 Dr. Dre is the reason I became a rap fan in the first place. That Chronic introduced me to rap. That being said, Pac kinda exposed Dre a tad bit. All those Pac classics Dre wasn't needed. Gotta give his whole team props. Dre is brand.

Easy Moe Bee sounds like he has a lot more to share but won't share because of how painful the experience was. It just seems that if you were not in control of the money in the 90's, you were washed out, abused and stamped on and not given full credit.

Easy Mo Bee was the Bad Boy sound from their start..it was a loss for Bad Boy because after he left he made so many jewels for Lost Boyz, Thug Life, Ill Al Skratch etc etc.

Man that story about the remix is wild. It's like, has there been anybody that's worked with puff and the relationship ended amicably? I went through a similar situation, not on that same level, but in terms of betrayal I can feel that. My friends and I scooped our money together for studio time and before we showed up the engineer asked me of I could bring a track out of my beat. Me being young and inexperienced at the time I brought the stems on a CD and the engineer copied the stems to his mac saying after we laid down our vocals he would use it as reference and mix everything to match the vocals. I come back later in the week after he said the song was ready and when this fool raised the fader he done rearranged and remixed the whole song without asking me talking about, "Doesn't this sound great? We did a great job on this track. This song will go places." After I checked him on all that French he was talkin then all of a sudden he started ducking us, not answering calls and getting ghost. It's crazy how people will try you.

P.Shitty likely added Chucky Thompson to that remix, because he was double dipping on the song's publishing. It was known that Muff Daddy would jerk his artists and in-house producers on publishing. Good for Easy Mo Bee for standing up for himself, and for having integrity.

This is hard to watch. Back in the late 90s and 2000 i was wondering what the hell happened to Easy Mo Bee. He had hit after hit. And his production BROKE majors artist and labels. Puff a scumbag.

Easy Mo is a really talented guy, it’s too bad puff tried to take credit for a his work. What’s important is that we hold easy mo in much higher regard now, than Sean Combs who has been revealed as a dirt bag.

This is clearly painful for him to talk about. Having a producer’s credit means you had input into the production of the song. Puff clearly does have input however small you think it was. There’s two types of producers. There’s beat-making producers and there’s producers who have the vision. Puff is the latter…you can hate it or love it. Now putting his name first…I don’t know 😅 Without Puff paying the bills at Bad Boy they wouldn’t have a production credit to complain about. Much love to Easy Mo Bee.

Every thing with Puff till this very moment I am right is inflicting some deep lasting wounds in people so much so he is getting hit up for tens of milions every turn. Nobody knows how Chucky Thompson’s name got thrown into the mix but Diddy could have done that for all the tracks Mo Bee produced on Craig Mack’s album. Mo Bee did the whole album if I’m not mistaken. As far as Diddy attaching his name to it, maybe he switched the lineup on the song. He could have told somebody to take a line out or redo the whole verse because it’s trash. Producing isn’t chopping loops and this and that. It’s the final product of the song. I think Puff got the message because he gave Mo Bee sole credit for I Love The Dough and Going Back To Cali. Mo Bee did the music but he didn’t “produce” anything. It was somebody else’s idea to get Angela Winbush to remix her hook on the song even tho it’s really a Rod Stewart song. It was somebody else’s idea to put vocoder on Going Back To Cali. Mo Bee said he didn’t approve of the song being called that.
The law: once puffy and his company paid for the beat/music puffy can’t say he made beat even if raised the value. And easy know this. He just jumping on the puffy hate train. Smh
