Minus the cardamom. In those days, Mom didn't know about the many herbs and spices that we use today. (Sadly, she passed at age 48 in 1976.) Lovely Kevin. My man loves molasses cookies. I like to make date filling and sandwich it between 2 smaller cookies. This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving and I have made pumpkin pie, dinner rolls and a sticky, toffee pudding cake with dates in it. Philippe did not impact us too severely as yet, I hope the storm veers away.

I can totally relate to not trusting yourself around homemade treats as my love for desserts is pure happiness to me so I thank you for the tip on freezing half. I was thinking maybe I could make the whole batch and freeze half the cookies, would that work as well? Tea and cookies, perfect. I have not had homemade molasses cookies in so long. A favorite cookie of mine. Looks like your autumn season is ahead of ours here in Corvallis Oregon. Our colors are still bright. Lovely piano playing at the end, very enjoyable.
My grandmother was a piano tuner along with her five brothers in the early 1900s. We have a funny newspaper clipping that says, "Miss Holley Makes a Success of her Trade in Spite of her Sex." So lovely to see you taking such good care of the pianos. She is smiling down at you from heaven! 😇
