this is a great tutorial. I have done this one and the sunflower and the sunflower is my favourite. What I found was the petals are too floppy on the forget me not. So I actually slip stitched the petals together, just a short bit, from the centre about four stitches. It holds it all together a bit better.

I had to use a little more than 2 skeins of blue, probably about 260 yards with a 9 mm hook to get 5 large petals. The petals were a little too floppy so I also slip stitched the petals together a little from the centre yellow up about 3 or 4 stitches. It looks beautiful. I love your flower patterns. I have also made the sunflower. I think the sunflower is my favourite.

I used the Sweet Snuggles yarn from Micheals and I used a 9 mm hook. my petals are a little larger and I had to buy a third ball of blue,to finish half a petal of the 5th petal

Does the plush yarn that you use make it easier for you to see stitches? I feel like I have a hard time seeing/feeling where the stitch is! But I haven’t tried this brand.

I really enjoyed this make. Somehow I missed to leave the petals open with 8 stitches and closed them all up. So I fudged rather than frogged and flattened the end & picked up 4 stitches doubled up and went around. My hook size was smaller than you used because I like working with a size L clover and my yarn was some mill ends I got from premier. I'd be happy to send you a picture but not sure where to send. Explain where to see your class offerings. Thanks!

I believe your written pattern on your blog is missing a row for the yellow center after you do the last inc in row 4, the video shows row 5 is sc for 20 st, then attach the petals. I followed the video and it looks great! I love all your flower patterns!!
@leilanava6234
@leilanava6234 6 месяцев назад
What row is missing because I used the written but it is really wobbly
@lavender_haze
@lavender_haze 6 месяцев назад
@@leilanava6234 the video is the correct pattern, and the one I followed and it turned out great! Her blog has the written pattern without the youtube video and on the blog I believe it is missing the round after round 4, which should be a round of sc (20 st). Instead it jumps right into attaching the petals after round 4. If you followed the video only and it still turned out wonky I’d encourage you to try again. Maybe your tension wasn’t even or you could’ve used a smaller hook size. I’ll try to answer any questions you have!

The pillows are designed to have floppy petals but make sure you stuff the petals well so they appear closer together :)

If you need to single crochet an even number then you divide it at the beginning and the end. Example: you need to sc 4 will be written as 2sc, inc, 2sc. So you start off with 2, then do your increase and continue single crocheting 4 in between until you get to the end and you do 2 again.
@chloedailey8088
@chloedailey8088 5 месяцев назад
@wondercrochet so I can just do the 2 single crochet then the increase all around instead of 1 sc then inc then 2 sn and increase bc if I can just do the 2sc then increase that would be extremely helpful lol
