I love the gold on the hearts, I like how light highlights it on the finished card. Great technique using oxide inks, stretching supplies is always good
These are so pretty! That background technique is lovely. Of all the creators on the interwebs, your videos are the ones I refer to for inspiration/how tos. You speak my crafty language, and I thank you for that!😊
I love these cards, the smooshed background you made is so pretty. I’m glad you put the panel on some red cardstock, it really made the panel pop. Thanks for sharing.
First, I adore these cards Amy. I really do. Second.... I just want to ran to my craft space right now to try this smooshing technique. I've seen this before BUT it just never gave me the feeling of, I need to try this now. So thank you for your inspiration ❣️
Love these cards, so cute. I just love how you say process, you sound so fancy. LOL!! Love your video's, so informative and creative. I couldn't believe how creative you still were when you were so sick!!! I just pass out on my bed till I am over it!! Kind of like kids' energy, if I only had an ounce of it, oh the things I could do!! HAHA!
Great card, Amy! That red border did the trick to make your panel pop. ❤️ My go to size for cards is now 5x7 or slimline. I love having the extra real estate to add a nice border.
Your cards are so pretty I love the ink smooshing. I haven't tried it yet but I will soon. I really like the addition of the red. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for making a large size card! I have such a hard time making the A2 cards or I can’t fit enough things on them. These are beautiful for not having images to color in !
the glaze works on any type of porous papers - Kristina Werner uses it a lot to seal the artwork she does for her mail art and she uses all sorts of papers and watercolor papers for her envelopes :)
Thanks so much for the technique of using the microglaze! I had purchased some, but I have never used it. Now that I know what I can do with it, I will be sure to use it.
The movie Step Brothers. (?) 😉 Awesome cards again! You are amazingly creative. I was suggesting to my computer to frame the panel first, and you heard. I feel so special. 😂
Those are gorgeous! I love how you combined so many different textures, and adding the red mat made a huge difference! You always know exactly what to do to make a fabulous card even better! 😍
glossy paper is also nice for die cutting - I like die cutting sentiments from glossy and using that as my top layer - saves me from having to add Glossy Accents etc
I have done this with gloss photo paper and it’s just stunning. I haven’t tried with gloss cardstock. I couldn’t stop playing with it and wound up with stacks of backgrounds! TFS!
glossy white card stock - like I said in the video I've never done it with photo paper but I've heard people have (tho I can't say the results will be the same as photo paper is treated and glossy card stock isn't). And no you work on the glossy side otherwise it won't work
@@PrairiePaperandInk I was told with alcohol inks you use the back side of the photo paper so I wondered if this was the same. In alcohol inks it doesn’t spread right on the photo paper side. Thank you!
Smoosh away on glossy photo paper but DON’T try to stamp on it. I don’t know what makes it different than coated cardstock but it is and it will latch onto stamps and NOT let them go. I lost an expensive print-maker set in my experiment with glossy photo stock when I couldn’t remove the shredded paper residue from my stamps.
photo paper is treated with different things to make it more stable and to take printer ink etc etc - it's why I don't use it in my crafting b/c it's more unpredictable and sadly I'm not surprised it did it to clear stamps. I'm thinking something with the photopolymer of the stamps reacted with something the photo paper was treated with - and that really sucks for you! :(
