Today i'm making Fold out Journal Tags with hidden pockets.
These are not your ordinary tags as you can use them for journaling or turn them into greeting cards or mini journals very easily.
They are pretty quick and simple if you don't waffle while you make them 😘 and would be ideal for mass making.
today i used the rose Parfum paper collection by Stamperia, but you can use anything you like. My tags was based on one i received from my frind Zoe.
So grab your preferred paper and card and get cracking with some easy junk journal ephemera.

I love your button box….my great granny had a button jar. She saved all the buttons in an old mason jar she even cut the buttons of the clothes no one could use anymore they were farmers…anyway I have lovely memories of dumping that jar out in the evening, after all the work was done for the day, and sorting out the buttons, matching and marveling at some of the ‘fancy’ buttons! I have that jar still in my crafting space….so play away

It was fun watching you make this little gem, you’re so clever! Those Stamperia papers are yummy! I tried making a double bow like that, too, but I quit in disgust before possibly figuring out what you did! Who cares how you get there, just so long as you did, right?! I’m sorry your heating is all mixed up, how aggravating! I hope that gets straightened out quickly! But I guess it’s the weekend & you can’t get any help till Monday, that’s how it is here, anyway! Gertrude the echo dot it really old and partially deaf. If she wasn't so funny I'd upgrade her😅 Double bows are impossible for me as I tie bows funny in the first place😐 Luckily my home is rented from a reputable housing association so I won't have to bear the cost of repairs, but yes they only come out straight away if it's an emergency or you have no heat or hot water at all. So it will be sorted ☺️🤗💜

Love your take on this Julie, especially the addition of the pocket on the front. I was having a chuckle watching you make the bow, it was a faff for me too. Ended up needing a small childs hands to help 😄 I don't have a bow maker, but used her fingers in kinda the same way. The papers you used were perfect for this and very pretty. Orginally, we were only meant to be NZ for a year - we had return tickets to the UK which we used - but then we came back again. I guess I orginally held on to the cards in case I needed them, and now they are just 'reminders' - familiar and somehow reassuring. ❤

I know it's too hard😅 I like digitals but my Epson printer was useless for them after a firmware upgrade last year that they still have not sorted out😠 I got a cheap canon one in the sale and I need to get it up and running. Still it's made me use up lots of my own papers😁🤗💜

Hi sweetie I’m back after a long absence. I had a nasty heart attack, my heart stopped beating twice and the cardiologist said I was very lucky to survive. He put a stent in the rest was up to our maker. It’s been 5-6 weeks since I have watched any crafting and during that time I lost my mojo so I’m hoping watching all episodes I have missed out on will give me the push I need to get me started again. Julie, I believe if you used your card to cut the corners of your mat piece it would have been the right mat size since the paper was cut smaller. Not sure, but I think so. These are so beautiful, thanks for showing how you made the bead dangle, I have all the stuff too, but forgot how to do it. 🤣 and I’ve no idea how people make the pretty double bows either. Hugs! I get you Susan and i think you could be right. sometimes i do thinks how i've always done then without thinking why😅😅Apparently the double bows Zoe made required the help of a small child, to wrap the ribbon around their fingers. i believe a bow maker would work too. But hey if the kids aren't up chimneys or down the mines anymore we have to make use of them somehow😘😊🤗💜

First time watching…you were recommended by RU-vid. I am dying laughing at your mishaps and arguing with ‘Gertrude’. The cap on the scissors just about did me in. 😂😂😂 So now I’m a new subscriber and will go back and binge your other videos until I annoy my partner laughing while he tries to sleep. So…to sew or not to sew. I do have a sewing machine, but I can’t use it because I am machine-challenged.

@@CameliaCraftsDesigns so, I drug the ole Singer out of storage today. After a thorough cleaning, I read the User’s Manual. It’s simply amazing how much useful information is in there! I think all machines should come with one. Anyway, after a good long stare at it, I actually used my new knowledge to thread, load the bobbin, and turn it on. After another long staring competition, I actually used the bloody thing and made two perfectly good lines with it! We’re barely on speaking terms, but…baby steps.

I also wanted to say how much u make me laugh with your down to earth chat, how if u don't like it, well u just don't like it hahaha, its like sitting with a good mate around the dining room table having a cuppa and a catch up 😅 I've got so many friends from the north of England and they all crack me up with their chat, I was born in London and immigrated here to Oz in 1967 on the ol ships, the ol $10 pound poms. Thise have to projects are the worst. i just finished watching Margareth of sevenplaza say she doesn't take orders for journals as she doesn't enjoy making them when she has to. The little ones are the best. i also helped out at a playgroup once a week before the pandemic. sadly i decided not to go back as the one thing i don't miss about them is the way they like to spread their germs😘😊🤗💜

Your tags turned out so cute. I am not sure how she made her bow , I make multi loop bows with my bow it all bow maker. It makes all different styles of bows in all different sizes. You can make your own version of the tool with some dowels and a small piece of wood. I think there are videos on how to make one or something similar on youtube. Thank you for sharing this video. I just love those tags.
