I hollowed a sharpie marker and taped it to my sheath before using your method to wrap my sheath. The sharpie is used to hold my ferro rods. As it is taped down empty it has enough give to securely hold the rod in place with the tension between the head of the rod and the sheath. Thank you for the video. I've done this to my companion HD and bushcraft black.

Can this work for wrapping the knife itself, I bought a knife and it doesn't have a sheath.

Good video, but you'll find that 3.5m is more than enough to do this, also it looks much neater if you start your loop at the back of the sheath, that way you don't have those ugly cut ends on show
