Using a $40 Yeti bottle with filtered water from home to refill a puddle from the outdoors up while it is raining, is quite possibly the most first world thing I've ever seen.
Don't judge... they had a hard month struggling paycheck to paycheck & just got fired from Stanley's so they couldn't make a mass-purchase using their employee discount of Stanley cups... or even get approved for a new credit card to purchase ONE stanley cup.....😅I thought the yeti's had really gone overboard... until. I heard about these 'Stanley cups' ...I was like ...um ...cuz they played on the champion hockey team ??? Do whutttt
I really dislike this kind of photography. It feels soulless, like all that matters are the special effects and not the feeling behind the outcome. I'm in no way doubting their photography skills, I think it looks good technically, but it's just a trend that I noticed.
I like to call this style of soulless asthetically pleasing photography "wallpaper photography" since they'd very easily fit in with a bunch of other similar, personality-lacking images you'd find in a phone/laptop wallpaper bundle.
Idk but the spontaneous pictures are always the best, this picture is a good one too, but there is something different in a good photo without really much effort
yeah.. I see that as the difference between a creative work of your own free will, and work commissioned be a person or company. I do a lot of art, photography, 3D modeling, and tattooing - but whenever I'm doing something on a schedule with a deadline, I'm constantly doing whatever I need to do to make multiple pieces of work for them to pick from in order to make sure that they're happy, paying, and bringing more customers... I started getting into other forms of art because "if you work at mcdonalds, you stop wanting to eat mcdonalds" ya know lol
I agree. It’s funny too because the point of this photo is to look candid and spontaneous yet it’s actually the exact opposite. Real candid photos are better
Spontaneous photos are great but take unperceivable (don't think that's a word) amount of patience .... thousands & thousands of shots to get one or 2 national geographic worthy image type shit.... I enjoy these suggestive shorts becuz they add perspective for a person testing and falling in love with the photography/art 'waters' -- if you will .... There's just no amount of education, creative/artful skill and/or ability or even mind-enhancing substances that will allow any one person to be able to conceive ALL the possibilities..possible... when trying to capture .... so... Speaking as one who is DIY-diving herself into the deepest but most basic (no college degree or hardware required) enemy's elements of this 'stuff' ... ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME ....these other comments of silliness & mockery .... while maybe slightly entertaining... when ALL ELSE HAS FAILED ... lol... are NOT FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE ACTUAL interest in photography or artistry.... they're from folks with nothing better to do .... which is a MAJOR CONTRIBUTION TO ... lack of progression /evolution given all the 'technologies' & information that are now available to all at the push of a button ..... 😢... it's like their minds are auto-set on ... let's poke fun at this 2 make ourselves feel better about SUCKING LAZY ASS instead of scrolling through to find ACTUAL INPUT TO SUIT THEIR OWN DREAMS desires questions queries fears etc etc etc
It looks good but there's no emotion. To get the "Running in autumn rain" feel to the image, lean your other foot forward and wave your arms slightly sideways. This helps give off the illusion of running instead of just kicking a puddle.
Idk man, as an animator who frequently does run cycles I think it looks exactly like she's running. It would feel faker to me if they managed to capture a perfect picture where every part of her is trying to convince us she's running, but that's just me! Your advice is definitely good for other people who wanna try this though!
Yeah his other videos are legit so I don't think he would just fake this one, obviously there's some amount of post processing done here but not the leaf part.
As a photographer. I take this same approach, while I can use photoshop to add in certain parts of the image. I prefer to have it all done in a single shot , even if it means taking 100 rather than messing with it in photoshop
Who said anything about speed? If everything's in the right spot for your shot, switching puddles doesn't make sense. The road being just to the side at a very specific angle in this one is actually very important for this shot. Sure, you could get another good shot on another puddle I'm sure, but you won't get THIS shot.
Incredible. This guy should win the Putzpuller Award for photography. I don't use the words "game changer" very often but this is ground some breaking shit.🏆 📸
