9:40 These sounds feel like Plant ASMR and its so relaxing I love it! Relaxing sounds after a day of busy and noisy sounds of life, Love the video! 💚🌱🌿
It’s so funny that you’re entering a carnivorous plants phase now because I am too 😂 they’re just so interesting! I bought 2 pings and a droscera capensis last year and figuring out how to grow them and keep them happy was so rewarding! I decided a few weeks ago that I needed more and I bought like 7 more pings and 2 more huge droscera capensis lol I’m obsessed.
I cannot explain to you how relaxing it is to watch your videos. My son tells me Im watching plant ASMR lol. Id also love an update on how these little terrariums are doing! Seeing this makes me want to try my own but I have such a hard time with carnivorous plants!
As with everything you do, your terrarium is just beautiful. Do you intend on just spraying it for watering. From what I've seen open terrariums have a base of some sort of stone as a reservoir, but this way look cleaner. So look forward to seeing her grow 🌻
I like them all, but my favorite is the Florian! This turned out so perfect and it was very entertaining to watch. What a great selection of plants you chose. So very cute...I adore the little cat figurines and the mushrooms too🍄 👍🌱🌼💚
So pretty 😍i love the rosette ones. I never see them in the garden centre for sale. Only see the Venus flytrap ones which are more popular for sale. Also the pitcher plant ones. I like doing succulents and cacti arrangements. Definitely want to do some sort of moss terrarium one. But with moss to keep it looking green and healthy does need alot of humidity. In the open need to spray with water more the cushion moss ones. I love adding mushrooms in plant decor.
Thank you! I loved how it all came together in the end ☺️ I don't see many in store either just the flytraps. I was wondering if the live moss would still grow okay in a bit lower humidity so I'll see how it does but so far so good! The mushroom decor is adorable!
The terrarium turned out so well and cute! The care you put into placing the substrate and each of the plants is perfect placement! 🌱💚🐈 can’t wait to see them grow.
You did a fantastic job putting this together Melissa! I would buy that in a heartbeat! It looks so calming and peaceful to put together. My challenge would be to what to know to put in a terrarium. 🤔
I love it. I'm so glad you did this video. I've tried growing pings and drosera's without much luck but I think I'm going to try it again. Thank you for the video.
This is beautiful! I had no idea that there were such a variety of carnivorous plants. Up til now I had not been a fan. Its going to be fun to watch their progress! Oh, and btw - congratulations on the 50, 000 subscribers. So good!
Thank you so much! So grateful to hit that milestone 🥹 I didn't realize there's so many different varieties either! I really only knew of pitcher plants and venus fly traps but these ones are so cool! It's been fun watching them settle in and they seem to be doing really well so far!
Usually I hate ASMR, but I actually didn't mind this and found it kinda soothing (plus your voice is always so calming to begin with)! Glad you didn't do full ASMR though because I love hearing your process. It turned out so stinking cute!!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous! It’s a work of art! Adore the little cats and mushrooms,it makes it so whimsical.I’m thinking the jewel orchid might be a bit to big compared to all the other plants, but if you like it ignore the advice 😅 You did such an amazing job! 💝🌿💚🪰🐈🍄
Ahhhhhh that’s so cute! I need some of those pink mushrooms for my jewel orchids 😍 The only things you probably want to keep an eye on is that the carnivorous plants need high light and the jewel orchid needs lower light. Also the carnivores like wet feet which might be too much for the jewel’s roots - but I definitely think you should leave it in there and just see how it gets on. It’ll really like the humidity.
It turned out so beautiful. It is absolutely precious. Thankyou for sharing, I so enjoyed watching. Your content is the best out there. Great job. Char
Great job building your plant bog, it looks really nice. I never knew that carnivorous plants could be so attractive. I just hope that the little kitten figurines are safe in there. LOL. The plantology education continues. Thanks.
Oh my goodness! This is absolutely adorable! 🥰 I am definitely getting glow kitties for my cabinet. Do you have to feed those carnivorous plants or do they always just catch their own dinner?
Thank you! I loved the end result 🥹 the kitties don't glow in the dark that well but still so cute! I heard you can feed them fish food from some other commenters. I bought some of that maxsee foliar feed from the haul video and I might use that maybe once a month if I don't notice them catching much. I don't have a ton of gnats so I'll see how it goes!
This is adorable! Have you done an update on it? How is it growing in? I just got a few carnivorous plants and am trying to figure out their soil composition. Well done😊! 🎉
I should've ordered from Curious Plants instead because I could've gotten more for their prices. I literally ordered one last night and it pricier but I might get a bigger ping. Either way, I can't wait for my plant to come in and catch some tiny flies!
Love it so much! ❤ I think you should keep the one you put in last, n it gives a little hight and variation 😊💚 How do you water it? I would be afraid to overwater it 🤔🫣
😍 aaaw. That's super cute. I love it ❤️ the kitties & mushrooms are super so cute. You did such a good job. I so want one so bad. 😊❤👌👍. Might have to make one soon
Uhh it looks so good, Iwant a ping for a while now and maybe this is my signd to do it and make a nice bog of my own, I could put it in my plant cabinet to increase the humidity :D I don´t think it´s a problem with the jewel orchid, I´m just wondering how it will do long term, completely without nutrients.
Do you use tap water for most of your plants? I've tried growing carnivorous plants and few other genus's of plants (begonia and calathea mainly) using tap water, and they seem to be super sensitive to the minerals. They usually look good for like a year and then slowly start dying. I'd like to try carnivorous plants again using distilled water. But maybe not the calathea's or begonias. I'll probably just use those as living arrangements buying just super common (cheap) varieties when my self-restraint fails me 😅
It is super cute! I had some pings and they got pretty big pretty fast. You might find you’ll need to thin them out but if they are happy that’s a nice problem to have right? 😂
I made one once and one day I noticed a crap ton of some type of tiny worms in it. I’ve had thrips, spider mites and mealy bugs but never have I seen something so gross haha. So I put the whole thing outside cuz I was scared lmao. I’m guessing they were fungas larva I think?? Either way I’ve wanted to try carnivorous plants again and you just made me really want to!
oh my gosh! I probably would have been so grossed out seeing worms haha. I hope mine never gets them haha 🥴 It very well could have been fungus gnat larvae! I think the pings are adorable and I love the sundews too! Such cool plants! 🥰
I would place it under a grow light. Might get too hot near the window depending where you live I guess. I keep mine in pots near a windowsill. If I would make a bog garden I’ll place it outside out of a terrarium because it gets pretty warm in the summer. Update please.
I check on it every week and just add some distilled in there if I feel it needs more. If the moss still looks really damp then I don't water it. It's done well so far!
I don't know why but in the beginning she says " it had fingure print all over it and I'm going to try not to touch it" and next thing she does is pinch the corner and made me laugh🤏
