I have been wrapping rods for about 12 yrs now, I have always had trouble with the trim bands, when I use metallic thread, not any more. Thank you for the time you took to make the vid. Now I had a time hearing you,the sound pick up needs to be closer to you. I too use 40# braid line, make a 3" loop tie a 2 mm bead to the end now use 1/4" tape at a20deg. Angle to the rod to hold the line, the angle keeps the tape from sticking to its self. Again THANKS for the great video
Neat, I like this method. I've just started to experiment with trim bands and it looks like a quick and easy method to get a clean trim line.... Thanks for sharing..!
Hi, I really enjoy your videos and learn how to get better. I wanted to ask a professional question, I have already prepared several times with epoxy. In one or two guides, the epoxy continued to be sticky even after three days, the rest of the guides came out excellent, it is the same mixture of epoxy, did I do something wrong and can this problem be overcome? Thanks in advance !!!
Y L 777 what brand are you using. I really like Pro Coat for guides. I’ll put one coat on and then use a lighter to thin it out and remove bobbles. Then after it’s cured, add a second coat.
Nice work. I wanted to ask, do you start, and stop, your trim band in the same place so there are equal wraps? .... and fire your camera person or get a tripod!
