I really appreciate that you “get right to it” in your videos. I often shut down a video cause the person drags out the beginning so long. I like that you don’t waste our time. Good job on the sheet pan dinners. I’m going to use some ideas.
Christine! Hi, it's me your crazy bf Kelly from up state N. Y.😉I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU FOR all of your videos you really have some clever ideasthat I have actually put to use myself!so thank you for thatIwonder though,... do you like doing cooking videos or crafting better? I will watch bothbc I enjoy both!happy cooking& crafting girl, just keep on keepin on w/ your bad frugal mom self😂
I make home made sloppy Joe's for my hubby all the time. He hates the canned kind now. It's super easy and tastes delicious. For 1 pound of meat it's 3/4 cup of ketchup, 1 tbsp of yellow mustard, 3 tbsp of brown sugar, 1 tsp garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. I usually add extra ketchup for extra sauce. You can also add cooked green peppers and onions to add more flavor I do that if I have them. It's to die for. Try it Christine it will change your life you'll kick manwich to the curb! Everything looks amazing on the video!
I cook for a professional couple and they are vegetarians….I often buy frozen vegetables on sale and then roast them when I need them…..to extend the meal add lentils, or rice, or make a sauce you like and put over mashed potatoes… She adds a lot of seasonings to her meals to make it more flavored and has a lot of different ideas.. I bought a great flowered tortilla chips at the dollar store and they were very good. She uses fresh cheese which isn’t cheap but you can buy cheese soup on sale and use that….I buy canned small chunked tomatoes and drain them and they go further then one tomato from the store. Just a suggestion
I need captions too and some of the things they say😱. I watch a pretty devout RU-vidr and I think she would be mortified if she saw how often it thinks she's discussing male anatomy and other questionable comments!
Those cauliflower nachos looked really good! That's a good way to incorporate veggies. I may try this and see what my kids think. I'm always looking for healthier options.
Definitely going to try the sloppy joe pizza! My son tends to eat them “open faced” anyhow🤷♀️ I really want to try the nachos and fajitas, but have such picky🤦♀️ eaters in my house. I’ll have to see what I can do. Thank you so much for these, always love new ideas, sometimes feel in a rut
EXCELLENT VIDEO YOU are so Precious... Do not change anything... It is a JOY to watch your commentary... So funny.... You make watching this video fun... and Educational... Thank YOU for sharing this GREAT video... GOD BLESS YOU
And I was just about to say ewwwwwwwwwww cauliflower nachos! That’s why this channel is so great, there is something for everybody.. There are a lot of vegetables I did not like as a child that are “not so bad” now that I am an adult. Cauliflower though? I legitimately don’t like I have tried lots of different ways. it’s just something that I will take a hard pass on. That’s OK me not buying it means it will always be at the store for you and other cauliflower lovers. What we do agree on is Christine needs a cookbook!!!!! Now. 🙂🙂🙂
That sweet and sour looks like its gonna be dry❌❌❌,not near enough sauce. I use a recipe for sweet and sour from a website life in the loft house. Their recipe does not require pineapple juice. ⬇️There’s the recipe ⬇️ Sweet and sour sauce ingredients 3/4 cup sugar 4 Tablespoons ketchup 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar 1 Tablespoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon garlic salt
Perfect. I've got a family of eight, and we will be trying all of these within the next couple weeks. I'll modify your recipes as you modified these. Lol! You cook like I do.
That sweet and sour chicken looks Amazing!! Can't wait to try that one. Who thought of sloppy joe pizza? That looks interesting too. Thanks for the dinner ideas!!
Hi Christine! I love these ideas. I’m by myself since my husband passed away so these meals would be so much fun as party food. I especially like the chicken and pineapple and the cauliflower nachos for my vegetarian friends.
@@inahandbasket288 I have been a widow for 5 years also and usually take at least half of what I made and freeze it for another time. It is a great way for days when you just don't want to cook anything.
I usually do my fajitas on the stove I'll have to try the fajita seasoning and oven sheet pan next time with squeeze of lemon. The nachos looked delicious.
Love your enthusiasm and ya hoo! You are a real person ; I'd say the truest personality on RU-vid. You don't cook the same thing over and over and you vary it up with Instant Pot, slow cooker, sheet pan dinners ( we loved those!) You are confident to use all different methods of cooking and have the energy of a 15 year old! Love your videos and keep doing what you're doing because I know many of us love watching you be human, not some taking robot just harking a product that pays you. I especially like when you're going to make a dish and are out of a few ingredients but you still make it work. You are REAL! And human and can laugh at your mistakes. Thanks you for making my days happier.
I’m wondering if for the cauliflower nachos you put the cauliflower, oil and spices in a zip lock bag and shake they would have a better even coverage? Then place on cookie sheet and add remaining ingredients? Looks delicious! When I roast any veggies I always put in a zip bag, add oil, spices prior to putting on a cookie sheet. Just a suggestion?
Those nachos look soooo good! I definitely need to try that. I love the wholly guacamole too. I tried the Herdez guacamole and it was amazing! There green salsa is really good and it had those flavors in the guac. It’s now my favorite. 🥑
A tip that I need to do for my family (my husband is averse to strong herb flavors standing out) I mix all the herbs and seasonings first and then sprinkle them all over together.
LOV-VING these videos!!! I'm plant based but can swap out easily!!!! Thank you!!! Just found you! So glad I did!!! Just curious, haven't seen you use mushrooms, does your family not like them? I LOVE them and use them as meat alot!!! For those really on slim budgets, green canned jackfruit can easily be used if you haven't ever shown that. Sorry to duplicate if you have.
I just really enjoy watching your channel. I'm going to try the Sloppy Joe Pizza. Really different and fun. Thank you for sharing inexpensive meals with us. It helps me so much. ❤️
I make a similar Sweet and Sour, but in the crock pot. Just put 2 cans of chopped pineapple, with juice and chicken or beef broth over chicken, peppers, onion, and garlic..
Funny, I never even tried canned pineapple but when I was 19, just like you, I was in Haiti on a missions trip and I tried FRESH pineapple for the first time! Like you, MIND BLOWN! SO good!!! Thanks for the inspo!
You should try sloppy joe bombs! It's like the pizza, but you use the flaky grands, peel them apart, stuff with sloppy joe meat and cheese and bake! They also freeze great!
Hi christine I love your videos. Had to let you know that you shouldn’t cook with extra virgin olive oil just use regular olive oil for cooking if you need it. Or avocado oil, EVOO has a super low smoke point and isn’t healthy at high temps + it turns bitter
I have to make the sweet and sour. As far as sloppy Joe pizza sounds great. My daughter is 8 and is autistic and doesn't like bread or crust of any kind. It's a sensory thing. So we make sloppy pasta. Ground meat cooked with sloppy Joe or manwich and some green peppers and onion. Then we put in cooked macaroni and sprinkle with parmesan. It sounds like spaghetti sort of, but it tastes different. It's my go to on a exhausting or busy day!
Omg puppy alert! Lol he’s so cute. I always love watching how you slice bell peppers. It’s magical lol. And did you realize you’re giving us tips without telling us?? The 2 soft tacos on the plate like little bookends is ingenious 🤯👏🏻😎
I'm fairly certain we'll be trying all of these recipes. I recently switched to working nights so have to rely on others to cook OR do a lot of freezer/crockpot/sheet dinners that are nice and easy. I'll be using a lot of your recipes to meal plan on weekends so my dinners are easy peasy for the week!
They all look good I will probably try the sloppy joe Pizza first because looks like I have the stuff and I think it would go over well in this household. As a new subscriber I was trying to figure how many people you had in your house that you fed trying to figure we feed six adults and big kids so I'm going to double everything I think but the meal so far have looked good thanks a bunch
I have a family of 7 you have no idea!!! We do mystery pizzas and soups that always taste good out of leftovers people are always so surprised it tastes so good they can't tell!!! Maybe I should make a channel too? I have a food pantry and love to save money but I'm afraid of being super awkward if I tried to make a channel 😥 loving yours girl
A better recipe for sloppy Joe is to the cooked diced onion, ground round mixture add 1 can tomato soup a jar of chili sauce then let them heat. Instead of pizza crust I use crescent rolls. Delicious 😋 😋 😋
We do the fajita sheet pan meals, also chicken thighs with roasted veggies. They are good. But oh my goodness I cannot wait to try the sloppy joe pizza!!
we do Frito chili pie a recipe from Texas manly it Fritos and canned chili wolf brand if you have it then cheder jack cheese more Fritos chili till you fill your baking dish cover with a layer of shredded cheddar jack bake at 350 for 45min and serve with sliced black olives and sour cream
I just have to say you use organic everything but then pull out a can of sloppy joe sauce and bag salad that has chemicals sprayed all over it to keep it fresh. Homemade sloppy joe sauce is super easy to make and organic lettuce and other organic salad stuff is out there and much better for you than bag salad you got on clearance. If you're taking the time to make something healthy and use organic ingredients don't you think you should be using other fresh stuff? Just an observation not judging.
i just made the sloppy go pizza last night {nov. 18th 2021 ) dammmmm one of the top 3 things iv ever eaten sooooo good will be making it alot from now on
