Yes ! Raw chana. Don't soak it in water. Just wash it just before roasting it. And while washing make sure you're not keeping it in water for a long time.
You don't have to soak it. Just wash it and remove the water immediately. Soaking it in water for a long time will make the channa watery and you won't get the crunchiness from it
