Very pretty look I’ve not used my ND palette much as she does bring out so many but they are beautiful I like her nude one best & the new gold palette see you soon ❤
Hello, Dez - You look absolutely gorgeous: I love your hair cut and colour, plus your makeup choices. (I have a Westman Atelier brush, too, and treasure it!) - Have an enjoyable summer week, Ruth
Oh I’m so glad you’re spoiling yourself Dez . Self care is so important. The Westman Atelier products are also fabulous. Very expensive but such great value . Excellent quality, natural and they last forever.
Aww thanks - it was a real treat to buy the products in store, with a really helpful sales assistant - we're so used to buying online, it makes a real change. And yes, those Westman Atelier products - they are so good they're almost edible 🙂
Dez, your hair looks gorgeous, and your finished makeup shades look beautiful together. I have Westman Atelier blush, highlight and contour sticks, too, but I chose mini sizes -- I'd never get through a full-sized one! I hope you had a wonderful time at your garden party! 💐🥂💚
You’re so right about the nose issues 😮so annoying. Lately if I do wear foundation for a specific occasion I leave the nose area and just press a little of my skin tint instead ❤
i also put moisturizer around my mouth and a tiny bit around my nose in certain places and under my eyes because it lets my skin move without drawing attention to lines or without causing any foundation to sink into the lines. I don’t wear foundation too often but I’m starting to get interested again particularly like that foundation on you. It looks very nice. Your face looks beautiful.💌
Hey Dez, how are you? You look amazing and you definitely created a soft glam look. I really liked the high lighter and I don't usually like them. Your hair color is very flattering. I can't wait to see the brow lamination and the lash lift. I hope you have a fun week. God bless you and yours.
Thanks so much Lynn! All good here, if a little warm - it's projected to be 28C today which is quite hot for London 😉 - hope all good with you. I'll try to take before and after pics for the brows and lashes.
Hi gorgeous! This look is perfection! Absolutely loved this beautiful look you created. I also love how excited you get about new products! That’s the way it should be. When you splurge on something, you should enjoy it! You look so beautiful Dez! Great video❤️
Stunning finished look, Dez! The Westman Atelier products are not in my budget, but, I'm sure I can find similar ones at my price point. Since I've retired, I find it very difficult to get motivated about makeup, but, I'd like to be! The results look SO worth the effort. TFS...take care. Rosemarie ❤️
I know, I did go a bit over the top with Westman Atelier - but they'll last for every, I hope! ELF do some really good liquid blushes - they are v affordable. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday ❤️
Love the new hair color. The lighter color gives you a more youthful look. To be honest when I begin watching your videos, I feel like it might not turn out too well in the end, but it always does and this one especially looks great!
Oh Eva, you've got me - I honestly don't always know if they will turn out ok either - in fact I did one a couple of weeks ago I had to junk as it just wasnt very good! Thanks so much ❤️
Ooh - Westman Atelier shopping spree! What fun! Pretty look - good colors together. I've only ever tried one Natasha Denona palette, but I returned it, as there were too many metallics for me. I bought that BKBeauty lipstick after seeing it on you - lovely color, but I need to add a gloss, as it's a little too matte for my liking. Agree with you on their foundation brush (I have the mini, as I prefer smaller handles) - it works really well with both foundations that I use. How does the Hourglass powder compare to Charlotte Tilbury? I have been using that for a couple of years and have been happy with it, but am always up for trying something new. I you really were going to a Garden Party - hope you had a great time!
Thank you! Well, on the Tilbury v Hourglass faceoff, I think the Hourglass is just edging it. I will do a comparison vid at some point, but the Hourglass is just a little finer.
Thanks so much Nancy! It was a pricey look - I am on the hunt for some stick makeup by more affordable brands, so there will be some more affordable looks coming soon ❤️
What a cute video 😊that powder looks Devine !! I have lots of Hourglass products and they’re all very good. They are expensive but worth it. I need to try that powder .
Thank you so much Cristina! At the mo, I'm using Byoma, but it's a cleanser rather than specifically for eyes. I've never found an eye makeup remover that I like - they are usually either oily or too gentle, like the Clinique one. I have also been using and liking the Geek & Gorgeous cleansing balm. I do a second cleanse with Cetaphil, and I use a soft microfibre cloth which helps. It is sometimes a struggle, though! Neither of them sting my eyes, btw, although I know some people say balm cleansers do.
@@beautybydez Thank you Dez! I would love to find a cleansing balm that actually removes everything from my eyes; I'm using the purple one by Clinique right now, but it doesn't really remove my eye makeup. I will try the Byoma! Have a lovely weekend!
Hi my sweet Dez. Your hair is just lovely. The lighter color looks fabulous on you. The Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow foundation is lovely. Unfortunately, I bought a bottle that's a bit too yellow for me, but every ounce in awhile, I'll use it. I use the Hourglass loose powder and absolutely love it. Glam Girl Gabi is just adorable. Very informative as well! I'll definitely have to try the brow technique. I've always used gel last, I'll give it a shot using it first. I'm so sorry that BK Beauty is discontinuing their lip products. You are an absolute knockout. Hope you had a great time at the party! 🫂💞🩷
Good morning from a rather warm London - and thanks so much dearest Rene! I didn't know about the BK Beauty lip colours being discontinued - that is a shame as the quality's really good and they have beautiful shades. It's going to be a hot one today - at least 28c which is v v hot for London. Hope all well at your end ❤️❤️❤️
Our weather hss been unbearably hot and humid. You can't even sit outside. Yes, unfortunately, BK Beauty is getting rid of their lip product line. I loved the formula as well. I believe that Lisa is just concentrating on her brush line, since it's doing so well. Hope that you are having a wonderful day. Try and stay cool! 💞💞😘@beautybydez
Best mskrup look ever on you! Love it all and your new hair color is very becoming. Question about the Merit highlighter. Does is accentuate pores? I used to use RMS highlighter but found it was making making my not so big pores show. I've been using powder highligher but have hit pan and deciding what I want next. I am also a big fan of Westman Baby Cheeks. I have 3 shades. I am going to have a look at the Hourglas powder although I am perfectly happy with the Chantecaille Blur. Finally,, I am also a Victoria Beckham Cocoa fan but I recently bought Ash and am reaching for that shade lately.
Thank you so much Andrea - means a lot! Re Merit, I dont think it does - I tried it this morning and took before and after pics and it looks fine - if one was being really picky you could say maybe slightly, but nothing like the damage caused by those pesky blushes I bought recently - the RMS and the Rare Beauty - such a shame. Mind, they are powders. I will check out the VB Ash - I find myself reaching for slightly warmer colours now because of my hair.
@@beautybydez Regarding the VB Ash, I have light copper hair and very fair neutral to slightly warm complexion. I was finding Cocoa a bit dark for summer. Ash is a blue leaning gray. I use my powder bronzer applied lightly as my all over eye shade so the look isn't too cool. I'll use a very light champagne with some shimmer as a "pop" on the center of my mobile lid or even my powder highlighter for the same purpose. The look isn't too cool toned.
Hi Dez, thats a lovely look, and love your hair colour looks great. Great lipstick. So glad you are loving the lash primer, it’s an absolute game changer for me. This week, I bought a YSL love lipshine, gorgeous !! But not for you, definitely has a strange smell, it’s quite botanical. Also the elf new soft glam foundation, which is viral at the moment, £8 !!! Not really tried it yet, but will do when it’s not so warm. For summer I like the nars tinted moisturiser. Id be interested in your views on the elf, though not sure if it has fragrance, I don’t think it does. 😊
Thanks so much Marjorie! I definitely want to try the ELF - I went into Boots in Covent Garden a couple of weeks ago but typically they didn't have it in stock - I'll have to order online. Have a wonderful week - it's going to be a hot one down south 😎
Looks fabulous, loving the new hair colour, very flattering. I’m on the hunt for a good body lotion/cream for my 70 year old skin, any recommendations?
Thanks Jo! And yes, as a matter of fact I do - the Ameliorate body cream is really really good - more like a lotion really, comes in a tube - and you can get an unfragranced version.
Oh thank you so much! Re beauty blenders, I tend to use inexpensive ones from Boots in the UK - but ELF do some good ones too. Re tone - I would say I'm neutral/olive, leaning cool. Now I've lightened my hair, not sure very cool tones suit me so much, but my veins are bluish with a green-y tinge 😉
Ummm, you actually applied the contour to the top of your cheek where highlighter is placed. The contour should have gone on the lower part of your cheek.
Wellll, yes if I was contouring, but I was using it as a bronzer - even though I'll admit, it is called a contour stick 😉 - tbh I always struggle with where best to put it!
