WOW! This was a great show. I know that there are a lot of people who are learning about quilting by beginning with 3 yard quilts. Your walk through of this pattern from start to finish is very clear and instructive. Plus the pics of other fabrics in the same pattern is always fun to see the changes that happen when you use different fabrications. Great Show!
Thanks for showing whole quilts. Videos with only a block or two leave the watchers wondering if making a whole quilt is worth the effort. Color options help very much )))) What if. What if. YES!!!

I Love Fabric Cafe. Patterns are clear and easy. I also like to open seams; therefore, I reduce my stitch length to avoid open gaps. I longarm so I know the difference between 2.5 and 2.0 stitches make when quilting.
I love chain piecing and I use the hole in the middle of a small spool of thread. I put a seam ripper in the hole and rip through the connecting stitches.
Fran, For the HST, I keep the seam line right in the center but I move the needle to the right one position. I find this method to be easier to accomplish and giving a more accurate size when done. Just move the needle 😉
We use a program called Electric Quilt 8, however there is a browser based program called PreQuilt you can use that have many of our patterns prebuilt. You can find it at www.prequilt.com. With PreQuilt you can mix and match pre-loaded fabrics to see what it will look like.
Fran I love this pattern and your videos. I learn so much from your style of teaching. Your demonstrations and tips make the pattern easier to follow and understand (for a newbie quilter). Your color choices are spot on: warm, exciting, comfortable, and fun. I’m ordering the book today to go with the rest of your books. Is the quilt pattern hanging behind you in this book as well? It is stunning from what I can see and I’d love to make it also

This is the most confusing pattern I have ever done! I bought the book and all the fabric and I can not get the inner block to match up. The directions are confusing as well. I wish it would just say cut 16-2x4 3/4 instead of saying from the remainder of this strip cut 2 inches times 20 inches strips from these strips cut 16 2” x 4 3/4 rectangles that very confusing. I am trying to make this as a gift and feel as if my money has been wasted. I watched the video and read the directions 3 times and still my block is off!! I so wish I could show you a photo but don’t know how. 🤷♀️ 🤦♀️ The pattern is beautiful if only I know what i am doing wrong.
