Loops and Threads Facet Yarn is the perfect yarn for this throw blanket. It is soft and the colours are gorgeous. Best of all, our machines LOVE it!
I used my 46 needle machine and 5 balls of yarn in the colour…Slate.
Happy Knitting my friends!
Love,
Shelley 🧶❤️🧶

On my CSM machine, I pull the waste yarn off from the last row next to the panel. You simply find the loose end and pull up a loop from the opposite end (like a gathering thread) until the loose end comes through. Then the whole waste yarn portion comes free from the panel. You can then unravel it easily and wind it for reuse. Looks like it would work for these machines too. I haven't tried it. My Addi is being shipped, can't wait. Enjoying your videos while waiting.😊

I love this blanket! I noticed that the striping pattern on the panels had the white stripe to the right of the 1 panel and to the left on the other one. I'm not sure, but I'm wondering if you turned the second and forth panel before connecting them, would they line up better? I can't wait to try this. Thank you! ❤😊

Thank you for all your valuable youtube videos and your patterns. It is because of you that I learnt how to use the knitting machines and now own all three sizes of the Sentro style machines. I belong to a knitting group that makes baby hats and blankets for hospitals and hats and scarves for out of the cold. The leader of our group, is not thrilled with my using machines rather than knitting or crocheting items as she feels that the tubes take up more yarn than just knitting or crocheting an item. We try to get donations of yarn, but we do not get much donated and each or us in the group pay into our fund, to purchase yarn that way, so I understand her concern of using up too much yarn. I love your checkered baby blanket, but it does not meet her criteria. Do you have a pattern for a flat panel baby blanket, or a measurement for downsizing your easy throw blanket that is done in a flat mode? Do you feel that this pattern, taken down in size would work for a baby blanket? I have to admit that I do not work in flat mode, so this will also be a learning curve for me, but I am sure there must be a way to make a flat panel baby blanket, although it will not be as warm a tube produced blanket. Thank you for al your hard work, it is greatly appreciated.

@@miriamfreilich8003 you are welcome! I do not post revised written patterns of any of my work but once you learn the technique it would be quite easy for you to just do less rows and make a smaller blanket. I also have single layer beanies in my channel. Go to my beanie playlist and look for them. They take half the amount of yarn and maybe your leader would be happier.

Thank you so much for answering so quickly. I will use the easy throw pattern as a guide and figure it out. I know that my next question, depends on what type or yarn that one is using, but I wondered if there was a chart indicating the approximate width of the largest panel of each size can add to an Addi machine to make them wider. Thank you @@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet Месяц назад
@@miriamfreilich8003 the panels will be the same width no matter what yarn you use because the needles don’t change. Just knit it as long as you want it and continue adding panels till it’s the width you want it.

Beautiful blanket. I would be concerned that the tassels wouldn't hold up or look nice and unravel because it is roving yarn, do you have experience with having made tassels with this kind of yarn and keeping it for long term, washing-drying, etc? I was also wondering if I it would bother me that the stripes do not line up when doing the panels for the blankets but I think I need to see a bigger picture of the blanket or just try to make one myself. Thanks so much for the video and the tutorial.
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
I do not have experience washing this kind of yard. Now I’m concerned. Lol! But we will see. I am a stickler when it comes to Matching the lines on projects but this doesn’t look like it’s supposed to match because the lines are all different thicknesses. The blanket truly is beautiful.
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
Coincidentally, I removed it from the wash. I added it with towels cause I wanted it to get a good beating. Hahahaha! It was shedding a bit so I wanted to see if that’s all it needed. I just hung it on the line and I will do a short video to show how great it came out.

Great tutorial Shelley! I got through 4 panels of 300 rows 👏🏻👏🏻 but my fifth panel with the same yarn, was giving me problems. At row 240 - yarn did not catch on first 5 needles... five stitches😵‍💫🙀😡😡😡 I will look for answers to this problem. Found one on "how to reverse". May try lifelines??? Hard to work on fixing on machine because of hand tremors. May leave it for a few days. Any suggestions?
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
You could just take the work off each of the needles, one needle at a time and drop down the row to below that missed stitch and then pick them up with your crochet hook as you do a tucked stitch. Don’t reverse. Just do it on the next round. If it is way down your panel fix it when it’s off the machine. I have a video on my channel… how to fix a dropped stitch once your work is off the machine. Click on videos and scroll quite a ways down. You will find it.

@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet the working yarn came loose at the start of a new row and before I realized it the yarn fell behind 5 needles as I moved the carriage so none knitted and working yarn is just hanging out behind needles. 🙀 sounds weird. Great video, thank you! I have never made a flat panel on my Addi before and was wondering if it’s necessary to use the extra plastic thingies which came with the machine? I can’t see them on your demo. I went out today for some yarn to make a baby blanket referring to one of your previous videos. I like the idea of a single layer for less cool days. I wish there were discounts here in France for yarn ….. or anything!!
@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
Thank you my friend! You can use the stoppers if you are not using all 43 needles. I have used them before I like them. You can make flat panels in circular mode and then the black needles will be the middle needles if your panel and the stoppers will be on each side. Then it counts in the middle of each row. Hope that makes sense. Lol

Then, in my fourth attempt, I was going along well, and then I had two dropped stitches at the end of the row of my 123rd row...guess I will be frogging and trying again.
