Hi Miriam, I enjoy all the tips and suggestions you share. Thank you for helping us live a more luxurious life. I never get tired of viewing your beautiful home🥰
Lots of beautiful and elegant storage ideas - I will definitely be taking some of these on board. Classic and elevated storage looks. I would love to see more of how the kitchen /bathroom & bedroom are organised.
Hi… I’m impressed with how “down to earth” you are and acknowledge that you didn’t always have clients with fancy budgets WITHOUT placing judgment or any sense of entitlement. You genuinely express gratitude and the role luck has had for you, encouraging us to see ourselves and our places where we still can create retreat and coziness. Thanks! Now go into a “real poor persons” bathroom and tell us how to store towels, toys, bubble bath (for adults) and shampoo. Most folks live in apartments and the bathrooms are “maybe” 6’x8’. They’re ugly but useful… and maybe you have a better way to create / build / repurpose something for again, “useful” over the toilet shelves? LOL
I have a small booth at the local Antique Mall in our town. I work really hard to have just these items available especially the crystal and silver. Glassware and serviceware from an era when quality was important. I am thrilled when someone like yourself recommends shopping somewhere besides mainstream box stores.
Beautiful, but who has time to dust all those crystal containers, and glass trays you have in the bathroom. I guess if you have a cleaning lady that's not a problem. lol
Stunningly beautiful home. Thank you for sharing. How do you clean all that silver with a store bought cream? Do you ever have any issues with the marble staining with ? red wine for instance? I have been inspired……….🥰 Fiona 🦘🙏
When your towels get dingy, soak them in vinegar - stirring occasionally for 24 hours, then rinse. You will be amazed how removing hard water mineral residue brightened and fluffs them up.
Thank you for your very doable suggestions for elevating one’s home. I love the mix of practicality and beauty. After watching, I immediately placed a silver tray and crystal jars (doing me no favors stored away) in my bathroom and switched to my white towels. It’s already a beautiful spa-like space but these changes brought in the classic luxe it needed. Your home is beautiful!
Oh finally. Too many videos using wood and pottery. I have so many beautiful glass containers and have not known how to use them. It's nice to see elegance! I love glass and will be using your tips. I just found your channel. Thank you so much.
I took a crystal rectangular bowl that sits in a silver base from my dining room and put my quips in it so I was happy to see her do the same. Wood is beautiful but I also live crystal and silver.
I love your style and channel!! It's by far the best and always elegant designs. Thanks for posting videos and helping us to live life to its fullest. I grew up my mother and grandmother using the antique trays in the way you're showing I have them as well they are beautiful
Hi Miriam. Thank you. This video was so helpful and inspiring. I live in a 5000 plus square foot home so much smaller than yours. But I can use your tips to make our home more luxurious. I will save this video for reference. Please share your recommendations for faux flowers. I love them be use them in key spaces. some designers frown on them. I was glad to hear that you use them as well. Best wishes and thanks again for sharing your expertise and beautiful home.
You have such a gift! Love your ideas and tricks. I am a busy mom, registered nurse working full time and trying to work on two rentals. How do you handle keeping paperwork and receipts organized? I have such little time between all the running around. It seems everyday I come home from work, child pick up, kids sports, shopping and getting the mail and always rushing….. it just all gets stacked up either on the beautiful granite counter top or in my office which is frightening. Suggestions or an episode about office luxury and organization tips would be wonderful! I don’t have the funds to hire anyone. The receipts are important for both taxes and the product returns when things don’t work out. So a way to have a disciplined first stop to place these things in a hurried manner would help.
Hi Miriam, I enjoyed all the tips and suggestions. Things that are about thinking outside of the box. I see three things you shared that I will be able to elevate my place to give that classic look I love. Thank you so much for your time. Just love your style!!!!
I love these ideas! I do not know why I never thought of this! I have always takkede myself out of getting pretty glas jars at goodwill stores even though they cost nothing, simple because I never knew what to use them for. Now I do! Thank you so much for your ideas! New subscriber for sure!! ❤️
Your home is lovely and the suggestions of practical yet beautiful storage is nice. However, I didn't see a single smile from you. I hope you have some joy in your life!
Just brilliant ideas, I love them! I sell vintage and antiques and often wonder what people do with the stuff they purchase. I'm extremely busy and my family doesn't understand why my mood is so bad when things aren't organized. Organizations takes loads of stress off of me, and I think so much more clearer. Not to mention, it's clean, inviting, and brings the feel of peace. I will adopt some of these ideas. New Subbie.
I’ve done Estate Sales and when children talk of how much they love their mother’s dishes but don’t have room to keep them all, I tell them to keep the tea pot or creamer n sugar bowls and use them for makeup brushes, eye pencils, Q tips, pens or pencils on their desk. Repurpose things you love and incorporate into your daily use. I love old silver trays and ice buckets! Never enough!
Hi Miriam 👋! Newbie here! So 😊 glad I came across your channel. Loving your tips and your thoughts on luxury (time, space)...never thought of it like that. Going to incorporate some of your tips into my home! Your home is absolutely beautiful, divine! Thank you for the inspo and sharing!
As someone who loves antiques and thrift store finds, I shopped my home. I have now moved into a small rented apartment with the typical closet of a bathroom, but shelves over the toilet, toilet trays ,beautiful bathroom sink accessories, and art I have been able to add some personality to a very blah space. Picked up more tips today from you. Thanks!
Lovely 🌹 I will definitely utilize these glamorous tips. Not a big fan of Chanel though...just a name and a person I didn't care for after watching the documentary
Miriam, thank you for sharing your expertise style and fashions. I love how you link your past as a model selecting wardrobe pieces to decorating one's space. I often ask myself why didn't I come across your videos earlier. I find myself binge watching your videos some multiple times because I enjoy them so much. So thanks again for being you and making others feel welcomed into your space(s). I am looking forwards to an extensive journey together!!! Yolanda❤️Gailes - REALTOR
it does request a lot of cleaning details. is not practical, is luxury with Hight demand on keep it clean to look ok. 100 stuff in only one single thing 10:13... I mean It may help you to have less stuff
Love your style. It is very similar to what I do. I discovered thrifting last year-The amazing finds! And I have pet leaves too, like yours with the paper towels. Got so many good ideas from you regarding even more uses for pretty containers.
Hello Miriam. I just found this video while searching for interior decor inspiration and I’m so glad that I found you! I absolutely love your style and how you beautifully display and organize things with solutions out of the box that don’t compromise on beauty and elegance of the space, I’m amazed! What an inspiration! Amazing taste, congratulations and thank you for sharing, I’ll watch all of your videos and content! I wish you all the best! 💕
I use crystal containers for cotton balls and Qtips for my bathroom. Do you have a suggestion for guest bathroom? Is placing crystal containers on the counters of guest bathroom appropriate?
Hi thanks for watching in my opinion crystal containers are appropriate everywhere, if there’s no counter space you can try adding a pretty glass shelf between the mirror and faucet and you can also try adhering the Crystal to the surface with museum wax this makes it more stable so that your guest doesn’t have to worry about knocking it over
Ohh Miriam I love love watching you and what your firm is all about, everything is so beautiful, I live in a single trailer home it is very small but it is decorated as it is a palace and to me it is beautiful. I will continue watching your videos and as always, I get inspired on. You are an absolute inspiration and very elegant
Hello madame Miriam, again another great video with lots of great ideas to everyone. As always thank you for sharing your ideas, your faithful romanian follower!
Gorgeous venue in your own home!! 🌸💖🌸💖🌸I’ve enjoyed this presentation so much. I’ve already got my champagne bucket for those cooking utensil item’s on my counter and because of love and dealing antiques I’ve scored so many beautiful sterling vanity items and you’ve given fantastic tips on the oils in those bottles.. purchased a monogram set in Spain for a song on vacation and I’ve used them for bubble bath but the oil idea is so wonderful! Love what you doing and why not live with these pieces and make life beautiful day in and day out! You are exactly right! Thank you🌷💖🛍🌸🍾🥂💫
So glad I've found your channel, your home is beautiful. Brilliant storage ideas and I'm going to steal some of them for my home. I too, don't like packaging but never know how to store the contents. This has given me some great ideas. Thank you for the Amazon links too, I live in the UK so can't always get items. Please keep these luxurious videos coming, more like this one would be fabulous x
I would love to see high quality faux florals. I also really enjoyed the decanting ideas. I never thought to decant my loose powder. Absolutely brilliant.
There's a great Christine McConnell video "a vintage themed makeup tutorial" where she shows her makeup decanted, even liquid foundation, into pretty bottles and vintage vanity items. It means you can't take them in your purse/travel though, which is my deal breaker
I would also love for Miriam to do more videos like this. And I am so curious as to what brands of personal products are used, such as soaps, lotions and potions. Miriam, you always look exquisite, and I wish you had time to do makeup videos as well. I just love it all, and thank you for sharing your elegant details with us. xo
Hi Miriam, kudos on another gorgeous video! I started watching your videos and while my style is a little bit more modern, I am obsessed with your classic taste because it is such an incredible backdrop for combining other different design styles. You have a wonderfully discerning eye and seeing you describe classic design concepts shown with great examples, it’s really easy to imagine how to make these spaces more your own. Love all of your trim and molding applications. Wow! Also love seeing a Canadian designer come up on RU-vid with the best of them! Looking forward to more of your content, bravo!
With my high-energy dog and a serial-killer cat crystal jars and silver trays wont work. They manage to break cheapest made in china plastic and rubber. 😃
Miriam, I really admire your love of healthy things, such as organic cotton and essential oils. However, essential oils are volatile substances that must be kept in cool, dry, dark places, away from heat and direct sunlight, and they should also be kept in dark bottles. Otherwise, they get oxidized and, therefore, adulterated.
Hi thanks for watching I agree with the fact that the essential oils are volatile and so rather than dump the whole bottle I only decant a portion of it that I know can be used rather quickly.
Miriam thank you for sharing with us your gorgeous and stunning bathroom with all your special embellishments! I too do many of the same special touches such as with holding Q-tips and mouthwash, etc. By storing these items in beautiful containers it makes using them much more enjoyable and beautiful to me. I also love the classic white paint and the marble you used not to say the least about your dressing area is simply stunning! Did you use marble on the bathroom floor? Is it slippery when wet? Hope you have a wonderful Easter with your family.
Hi thanks for watching. I do have Marble on the floor and while marble can be slippery, the trick is to use a honed rather than polished marble as well as using mosaics so that there is more grout for extra grip
Faux flowers never, would rather have a few tree branches or greenery if not nothing, all those containers just put it all away simplicity is best think of the dusting ok if you have someone to do it
Kids aren’t careful, those glass jars aren’t practical. Lids would get dropped on the floor, lids dropped back down too hard, glass would be everywhere. The paper towel can’t be easily torn off with no anchor of the traditional holder. Yours you have to pick it up with wet or dirty hands to tear a sheet off.
This was great. I just visited a custom kitchen cabinet shop. I was wowed by all of the options for storage and organization. I would love to see the storage solutions/ drawer organizers in your kitchen; and or in some of your other design projects.
I agree with you about the paper towels. Your idea was simple, but brilliant. I also agree with another comment about all the pottery we are seeing -- a little overwhelming.
oops! Forgot to say thank you for such a lovely show!! Appreciate your taking the time to go with the details. For that is what it is all about, don't you think?
First time watcher, and now subscriber!, to your channel. I would much prefer to have pretty tissue boxes instead of the cardboard ones they come in, but I buy the ones that remain flat in the box, not the pop up type. I do use glass jars and such to hold cotton balls, cotton rounds, q-tips, ... Thank you for such an inspiring video!
Oh you are so inspiring! Another fabulous video! I love every detail of your bathroom and kitchen and appreciate you sharing with us. Thank you for your informative and enjoyable channel.
Loved this video for ideas I am moving soon and when I put my China cabinet back together I will be using some of those pieces that don’t get used often for storage like you did in the bathroom
How do u take care of tarnishing silver stuff that you have so many ? I love your home , if I get rich definitely will be hiring your company 😊exquisite taste ❤️
Hi thanks for watching I actually fine polishing silver to be very relaxing and honestly to see it go from tarnished to glittering it mere minutes isso satisfying and the fact that these items bring me joy and beauty every day makes it worth putting aside a couple of hours once every couple of months
Hi thanks for watching. I too am incredibly clumsy but the more I forced myself to have a glass around the more adept I became at handling it another thing you could try is museum wax which keeps the glass fixed to the surface so there’s less chance of you knocking it over
I love all your ideas with using beautiful containers to store things. Love to do this, but am hesitant things will collect too much dust making these become high maintenance with dusting. Can you speak to this? Thanks and I’m really loving your videos!
I have always used an antique silver pitcher for my cooking utensils….my husband made me a lamp from my grandmothers silver tea pitcher. And I use two crystal spoon holders for my tea spoons and regular spoons….they always need one spoon…you looked so pretty in this video and your home is gorgeous….where are your trash cans in the bathroom for all of those used q tips????
As beautiful as the glass, crystal is I am always so afraid of the breakage and pieces going everywhere. But I am working on getting over that. Your house is lovely. Thank you
Hi thanks for watching I’ve really trained myself to be more cautious and less clumsy but I found using museum wax is a godsend as it adheres the glass to the surface so there’s less chance of knocking it over
Lovely, but silver , glass, and crystal gets grimy fast. I guess if you have a housekeeper or you don’t mind spending your time cleaning those items it’s a beautiful alternative to storage that requires little upkeep.
I appreciate your talents! Can you tell the color and brand of the kitchen cabinet paint and trim? I love the warmth to the white without being stark white, but really struggle with finding just the right color - thank you.
Hi thanks for watching. the white used was OC 18 by Benjamin Moore but the trick is we applied a mushroom colour glaze but then it is almost all wiped off so that really just leaves a warmth behind without settling into any crevices
The only thing I have disagreed with in all your videos that I have watched is putting cooking utinsils on the counter in a container, I put mine in a drawer, I don't want them on display. I love everything about your decorating and design, you are a classy lady.
I’m kind of thinking about all the silver and crystal I got rid of. I move a lot at this point in my life which is one of my luxuries so considering how to marry having less stuff with special items like those you mention. I do a lot of editing each time I move which is also cleansing as well as giving a feeling of ’lightness’ in my life
