Is your snake plant‘s pot bulging uncomfortably? Does the foliage seem to be suffering? If so, it may be time to think about how repotting snake plant is done.
It’s not a difficult task. Depending on the age of your sansevieria plant, you may be able to divide it at the same time, thus making a second plant!
The mother in law's tongue is an oddly named, but easy to care for plant that everyone should have in their houseplant collection.

Wait how did you break up the roots of each plant? Were the roots intertwined? That may have been more helpful than showing how to pour dirt on a planter 🤣.

Yeah, the only part I was unsure about was how to break it up without hurting either plant.... I understand how to put dirt and a plant in a planter.

Got into houseplants and gardening this year and having to learn everything by reading watching videos and researching. Im starting to see lots of miss information with so many different channels, I wanted to say how much I appreciate that your not putting out false information but that you seem to genuinely care about what your doing and your sharing what you learned. Your information has been reliable and with how expensive this hobby can be, I appreciate it. Do you have content on Monstera and Fiddle leaf fig? Also going to start setting up my house for the coming winter, I really want to help my plants flourish over the winter. I don’t want to pour all this time and energy only to kill them so any information you have about that would be awesome

I'm confused. On one of your video about snake plants, you mentioned that it would be better to use an African Violet Potting Soil. But here you're using a cactus mix. Which is correct please?

I just did this last week! my birds nest sanseveria had 3 babies I separated. I used 2.5 inch pots with cactus mix for the babies until they grow bigger. they are SO cute!

I just did this too, but apparently I did it all wrong. lol I repotted it in a very large pot in inappropriate potting soil. Hopefully it survives because I love it.

Super cute planter! I also watched a really long video on propagation.. They showed that if you cut the snake plant leaf in half and just stick the top half in the soil, it will root. I thought that was pretty cool..

You were right on time with this video! Couldn't believe I overwatered my large snake plant and woke up this morning to several dead leaves slumped over my pot. I had to repot with fresh soil and cut so many leaves off with root rot! I was too scared to water it today, but I will have to tomorrow. Thanks for the vid. You rock❤

I like that planter; but, it looks heavy. I've had a lot of different houseplants over the years. I'm not sure I've ever had a snake plant, though.

I love my poor little neglected snake plants! I saw some snake plants nest at a local grocery store and I was so tempted I've never seen him at that height... anyhow great video I can't wait to see what else you're adding to your pot!

Hello I over Water it, it had 5 leaf s n 2 died of so I repoted it but when I did the rooot ball came off. Can I be saved ? I put rooting harmone on it . or should I put it in water , but now I look at it, another leaf is turning yellow what gives ? 🤔😲

Epic Gardening excellent! Right now I am propagating coleus, mint, basil, prayer plants, and African violets My grand daughters were visiting and really liked them. Plants will be a part of there Christmas Present haul. They might get Sansevieria too!

I love the snake plant ...I have had mine for years... Mine is very healthy and they love light.. mine has new growth very often and new babies.. Gardening is your thing young man. You have a lot of knowledge and that takes you a long way for your entire life actually. I have grown and planted plants all my life..it is so enjoyable..

Thanks. I have really tall snake plants that need to be separated. I agree--they do want good sun. I've kept them in the shadows and they kind of collapse. Hey! You and I bought several of the same "exotic" seeds from Baker's Creek this year. What did you think after growing them? I didn't actually get much planted this year--but two new things I did plant from them were big successes this year---Chinese Red Noodle Beans and Ronde de Nice squash. I'd love to see a video telling us about how you liked the new stuff you planted.

Have you ever bought the Bradford watermelon seeds? Heirloom that lost favor due to not being an easy shipper. I have 3 and they are huge and I'm about poised over one with a knife! Can't wait to try them! Seeds were expensive from the Bradford family (bought through Sow True Seed). If I let them go too long then at least I'll have good planting seed and I can use the rind for watermelon rind pickles and maybe juice it. Anyway, I love that you are a garden nerd, as I am, and can't wait to hear more about how things went for you this year.

sanseveria have shallow roots and prefer to be root bound. isn't this new rectangular pot too much space for the roots?
