Thanks for the video. I can’t bring myself to use single use non recyclable food pouches-would love something convenient but that doesn’t create more plastic waste.
For those moms struggling with picky kids I highly recommend "french kids eat everything, and yours can too." Its worked wonders for my 3 and 1 year old, it is such an easy read! Love these ideas Ashley, your videos are always so helpful!
Wow, I’ve just watched this video and my nearly 15 months old son has exactly the same taste in food as your daughter!!!! He’s not really into meat, he likes boiled eggs, he doesn’t really like veggies, he loves fruit and especially blueberries. Thanks for sharing that, I feel less like a bad mother now. I thought his food preferences were due to what I fed him until he turned 1. I love you and your family. I have learnt so much from you. You are so real and put so much effort and quality information in your videos.
I babysit for a 2 year old and her mom is a very close friends of our family and to me this video is giving me very good ideas on what to give her to eat
Hey I’m a dad looking these videos it’s not just moms. Currently my daughter stays some days with me and some with her mom till we get our living situation out
Yeah I really hate how she basically just talked about moms she wants to act like moms do more or something like seriously dad's do just as much if not more never less
you should try Annie's Homegrown Organic Birthday Cake Bunnies. i found them today and its a small amount of sugar BUT SO GOOD and Oliver really seemed to like them and they fit well in a self serve cup
Love your channel! A supermom that’s realistic and gives me hope that I could do it too. Anyway, this may be a silly question, but how do you get the frozen muffins served? Thaw and toast? Toast from frozen? Pan fry? My baby is such a picky eater I hope to try out the recipes.
Kidfresh has chicken nuggets and meatballs with hidden veggies that are made with 100% whole wheat breadcrumbs. They're my personal go-to if I need something quick and easy (and I don't have kids!) For 100% Whole Wheat waffles, look for Van's 8 Whole Grains waffles. Off the Grid also uses whole wheat flour, as does Kodiak Cakes. (The Off the Grid and Kodiak cakes are on the sweeter side compared to most waffles, but they also have more protein, so I think it's a decent trade-off).
Where do you usually look for recipes that are toddler friendly/healthy? Do you just Google recipes, pinterest, cook book? I feel like I'm always searching for more recipes.
Very helpful video with great ideas for saving time. I am just curious about the cheese.. What kind of cheese I can give my 15 months baby. What about salt and sugar? And if you can just make a video talks only about the food that you buy it ready. Not the one that you make. Cause am afraid to buy anything ready because of the sugar/salt/and fats that contains. So if you explain for us how to choose the good quality store baby food. Thanks in advance ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much !! My daughter is one year old and is a pain to figure out what she would eat , thank you and God bless your family. P.S can you do some meal prep so we can copy you 😉
Hello - The ham and cheese recipe has sugar in it. What did you use something else or leave it out? Also, it would be very helpful if you can do an updated video ok foods 😊
This is interesting- I've maybe been doing too much lol my 9 month old eats 3 square meals a day with fruits, veggies, protein, healthy fat and a complex carb, etc I've refused to give anything even remotely like a pouch or pre-made puree etc because it just doesn't seem realistic long term- like he needs to learn to eat food in normal form to learn texture and chewing, etc, Maybe I've been being too hard on myself and should let him have a pouch every so often. He eats very well, but it's a lot of work. Maybe I can give myself a break every so often.
What kind of cup do you serve a smoothie in to a toddler? I would think it was too thick for a sippie cup. I’d like to try this for my 2 year old. He wants a snack as soon as he’s picked up from daycare, so if it was travel friendly it would be awesome!
Yesss thank you becauseright now ive justbthought of crackers as snacks and sandwiches for lunch along with fuits and smoothies and yogurt. Thats all o could imagine as helathy ootions during the day until the main family dinner with my hubby. These little muffins meatballs are great i want tonstear clear of the random pasta and wraps we would end up making if it was up to me hahaha
Hi, great video on food ideas. My child is a picky eater, unwilling to try new foods, and she is already 3. Is there are way to help her become interested in food in a Montessori way? Thank you!
Hi Berenice! :) I would suggest two things... 1) Coming from a Montessori perspective, I would invite your 3 year old to help with meal prep as much as possible! Kids who are involved in preparing the foods they are expected to eat are MUCH more likely to actually give them a try. 2) Coming from a different parenting approach to this specific topic (but one that is very similar to Montessori and that I actually follow myself when it comes to eating), you may want to listen to this podcast: www.janetlansbury.com/2015/09/stop-making-mealtime-challenge/
I would also add that giving choices can help. Obviously, you shouldn't just give your daughter free reign, but maybe she can decide if you make green beans or mixed vegetables. Does she want her pasta sauce on her pasta or on the side (where she can dip the noodles in)? Does she want strawberry yogurt or blueberry? Give her a few choices. She might be more inclined to eat if she gets a choice.
Luckily, I live in Pakistan; a country where we can get variety of fresh vegetables and fruits 24/7, unprocessed food choices also. Being a mom of 10-month old baby, I feed her only fresh food, not frozen, canned, of packaged.
Hi there! Awesome video thanks for sharing. We follow you guys on Instagram. Can you show us approx portions that she's been eating for lunch and dinner? And also can you share the ham and cheese corn muffin recipe and the zucchini carrot muffins please! 😍
Hi! Ahhh, thanks for subscribing!! :) I try to feed her about 1 - 2 tablespoons of each thing on her plate... so 1 tbsp fruit/veggie, 1 tbsp protein, 1 tbsp carbs. Sometimes it works out to a little more or less depending on if it's something she enjoys, but I never give up on something she doesn't like the first 100 times. ;) As for the recipes, I'll add the links to the description box for ya! Thanks for watching!
remember even just junk food is fine feed what you want Also why did you say mom's you know how it is you do a thousand to one thing and got toddlers going to why don't you just say parents there's just one thing it's called dad's you know Dad's do just as much as Mom to do if not more really getting tired of dad being put on the back burner by not being mentioned when moms are mentioned
