💲 At a local grocery store that has the best prices around, the soy milk yogurt prices ranged from 18 cents per ounce to 30 cents per ounce. (Per-ounce prices were lower for larger containers.) The same store sells 32 ounce cartons of soy milk for under $4. The amount of soy yogurt in my final container was 25 ounces, which, if I use $4 as the highest it cost me, means it cost me 16 cents per ounce.
💲 An astute viewer wrote that Trader Joe's has an organic 2-ingredient soy milk. It only costs $2.29 for a 32 ounce carton! If I get 25 ounces of yogurt out of one of the TJ soy milk cartons, the yogurt only costs 9 cents per ounce!
✅ RECIPE INGREDIENTS
* 1 quart of unsweetened Soy Milk (ingredients = soybeans & water only)
* 4 Probiotic capsules that are 25 billion CFU
After you make a batch of soy milk yogurt, you can set aside 1/4 cup of the yogurt as a starter for your next batch and skip adding the probiotic powder.
To Sterilize the Mason Jar:
Wash & rinse the jar in hot water. Dry it off. Then put it in the oven at 325 degrees F (or 160 degrees C) for 10 minutes. You can set the jar on a baking sheet to keep it stable. Make sure to not include any plastic parts when you put the jar (or lid) into the oven.

The brands of soy milk I showed you are sold at Amazon, but they're too expensive! (About $6 or $7 for 1 quart at Amazon.) At my local grocery store, the 1 quart size of each brand was less than $4. I suggest you shop locally for the best price AND you can read the ingredient list on each product offered at your local store.

Can you flavor it w like vanilla and mix it in then let it sit overnight or will that cause it not to firm up?

My grocery store stopped carrying West Soy. Trader Joe's has a good 2 ingredient soy milk. :)

I stopped at Trader Joe's today and bought 2 cartons. It's only $2.29 for 32 ounces! They told me many people purchase an entire box of them. Thx for telling me about it. It's certainly the best price for organic and 2 ingredients.
