Made for the beginners, this short watercolor painting tutorial is fail proof and uses the simplest and basic techniques of watercoloring.
Painting a pine cone for your Christmas card need not be complicated or overwhelming!
Watch and follow my easy method(s) and you’ll find yourself painting this with ease and promising results. Though I used a particular brand of paints for this project called Stampin’Up!, I have included below the counterpart generic color names that I find closest to the tones of those that I used.
Materials:
Watercolor paper- cold pressed at least 300gsm thick
Watercolor brush- Round, #4, #6
Clean jar of water
Paper towel
Colors Using Stampin’Ip! Inkpads:
Cones- Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Early Espresso
Pine needles- Mossy Meadow, Green Garden
Berries- Cherry Cobbler
Background- Starry Sky
Counterpart colors:
Sahara Sand-Raw Umber
Soft Suede- Burnt Umber
Early Espresso- Sepia
Mossy Meadow
Green Garden- Sap Green
Cherry Cobbler - Red
Starry Sky - Ultramarine
