I'm sorry. this is full of crap. he's either forgetting to say something important [don't equip a @#$%^ or something or maybe this is easy mode]. i tried it 5 times, the dragon rider kills you in one move. it's undodgeable so evade doesn't work, effects all the rows causeing burn damage over time so you'll never win by percentages and yearnings doesn't fire off ice coffin until after Amilia already goes making the whole thing nonsense.
You can literally watch me do both fights. I even say what you need your initiative to be. Just mess around with it a little bit and it works easily like many other comments point out but you might need to slightly adjust some things depending on your units levels. You don't need to dodge the dragon rider you just freeze the front row and the mage then dodge amalia.
Seriously this. How hard is it to go through each characters item and then skills? Dude is all over the place. I usually pass over his videos unless it’s a tip I need to know but his video format is so damn hard to follow.
I felt I went over it pretty clearly. Thieves mantel on two characters a rogue on the front line. Drain the pp and dodge the attacks. The gambits are pretty irrelevant for this as nothing has to be set up.
Totally agree. It’s hard to see what’s going on with the team and tactics when he keeps flipping through the screens and characters. Can you stick to the character screen and pause on each one so we can actually check them out?
Guide is really bad, showcase the version with bruno but does not go over what the witch has and the setup. Been trying to use this team to beat Amelia cant figure it out...
For those asking Yahnas equipment. From what I see it's the chlopteran staff, icebrand tome, and the AP amulet. Have everything turned off except icebolt and the ice tome passive. Have icebolt prioritize non frozen and front row enemies and the passive target scouts. The icebrand tome is from the tower by the witch towns when you first recruit her She has room for one more equipment slot so I assume you can give her a thief mantle for evade or something else as needed
I literally do a play by play breaking down nearly every action of the final 2 fights. if that combined with the intro explaining the concept of the build dont assist you I am inclined to think user error. Try the fights again remember you dont need to kill anything just go first and freeze the enemies.
Worked like a charm against her. Some other battles took some doing. If you're having trouble with Rank 2. Shaman/druid with Sandstorm and high initiative, one thief/rogue and a group of Gryphons did the job for me
brilliant setup, so easy haha. instead of filling the team it turned out to be much more efficient to keep the spaces. gives me ideas. loved the video, thanks!
This unit does not work all that well for several fights it even lost this fight the first time because the druid did not evade even with thiefs mantle i had to put a silken scarf on then they did manage it. But they get trounced by the green sages later on. As does every other unit I have though so it's not like i have anything better.
At first I was having the same problem where Travis could not avoid the strike but figured out what it was. I had Selvie's abilities inverted starting with Offensive Curse first followed by Passive Curse. Once I flipped it like it shows on here, I won the very next fight as shown in the video. Once Passive Curse goes then followed by Bruno's attack, that's 3 PP taken from her so will not be able to do that undogeable attack to take out Travis.
Anyone have an early solve for the number 4 fight with the Leggionare and two true strike units? EDIT: ok, I managed to get through that one by incorporating sandstorm with selvie, and the icebolt Travis combo. Now I'm stuck on the #2 fight against the ROYAL KNIGHTS. Hmu if you have advice.
@@SouDeAveiro yes umm, lemme think here. I found this online.. "What worked was Alain in front w/ Scarlet and 2 gryphon masters behind. Each gryphon single targeted icy blow w/ hoarfrost axe with back row/not frozen then front row/not frozen. Got Alain's def as high as possible w/ gear choices then Scarlet with defender's mace set to use quick barrier only when Alain ran out of PP. Quick heal was set to target < 50%. This made it so the warrior's unguardable attack did a lot less damage and I could survive/heal my way up after getting 3 of the units frozen." I didnt have two gryphons so I just used a different axe wielder. Took a little extra tweaking but i got there eventually.
Hilda’s Dragon Dive, Quick Impetus from White Cat Hood from the Divine Shard shop with the Ice Tome from Yahna’s house in the Swamp in Cornia can cheese just about anything except #6
Just head to say thanks this worked great! I think if you have time and can make another video going into more depth for the previous fights it’ll be helpful to others but this worked very well
I think here are over thinking it. You only want moves that take pp away and you want to have 1 or more thieves who blind in front. You could not have Bruno and use more thieves if you don’t have the thieves mantel
I believe the battle two swordsman does not have its start of combat first strike. So you should be able to freeze everyone for the most part and dodge the others
Passive steal did not work on her when I tried it even 10 times so she is either immune or you need another character to guard break or something. At that point this still seems like the easiest way to me
@@purplatypus7405 so I set my travis to passive steal most AP next line passive steal most pp. he started the fight with his sneaking edge. Apologies should have added that my bad. Give him lots of evasion accessories
A thief with 3 PP and better initiative can win the second Amalia fight. Evade the initial AOE then passive steal and Evade her 2 attacks. If she guards just retry. Thats it 🧀💯
well i beat ma way up the whole collosieum and beat her too with a lvl 25 team made her reach 35hp and survived her ultimate attack with 3 characters standing but ur tactics is much much better 😂 i loved it
So after getting to this Fight this can also work with Phantom Knight's lance as well which you might end up getting from a sigil before you find the axe one
Yes the axe is not important you just need to drain PP. You can even use passive steal on the thief apparently. Anything thst drains pp will work besides two shamans as their passive drain does not stack
@@chelsdollhousehoney2689 Exactly, I use Travis, Yahna, Berengaria and Bruno and their team genuinely takes 0 damage from most enemies, and then takes off at least half the enemy squad's hp easy. If I promoted my Bruno, I'm sure this squad would one round anything that dared touch them lmao.
For the Amalia part 2, you're over thinking it. All you need is a thief. Set Passive Steal to only go off once & turn everything but that & evade off. Reset if she guards the steal.
I tried that over 10 times and passive steal never worked so she was either immune or I got super unlucky with rng ad thst was my first idea. Since it never worked after all those attempts I figured passive seal immunity must protect passive steal as well but I must have gotten unlucky
@Boarbatrice that attack is no issue. It's the passive steal thst doesn't work at least didn't work for me so I tried a different approach. Still even that considered this is a super easy squad to get and can best her ezpz
@SolomonGunn I believe it. I'm not looking at the game right now maybe she has a guaranteed block and needs to be guard sealed? I might have just gotten unlucky as her guard rate is not super high. Maybe her fight rng does not reroll if you don't change anything I didn't think about that so maybe I just replayed the same seed like 10 times.
I one shot the swordmaster using Alain Magick Attack boosted with Gambler Coin and Angel Plume (+20 init). Then I just stall with CC, Thief Mantles, Magick Barrier, Arrow Cover and PP increasing items.
Freeze with initiative manipulation can get you through most. You might need an extra unit or two in some situations but for the most part you can get through with some messing around
Offline Coliseum ranked battle #8 Hunting Brothers. This whole guide is null and void because there's NO WAY you're getting to the last battle of the Coliseum without a fantastic unit setup to begin with. From battle 8 onward you can cheese it with the dual mantle setup, but not until then.
Even the cheese for the second phase is a little more complicated than it needs to be - Thieve's Mantle on a Warrior to inflict guard seal, or using the Gauntlets that let you inflict guard seal can let you do this with a Thief Passive Stealing her and a Sapphire Pendant. Only 2 characters needed. Hell, get the RNG right and you don't even need the guard seal - you could do this with a single level 1 Thief.
Well I dont know if this helps, but, as long as you have more hp than the enemy team you win at the end of the elun, but to win against amalia 2nd phase. I used a full bandit comp, using poison and blinding her she cant hurt you, the poison ignores her defense so it doesnt matter the damage, using the blindness so she miss all her attacks, do that an you win, heck, even with 2 bandits can win against her by doing this….at least thats how I won 🤔
Its an item you can find in a tower to the side of the town you got the Yahna. You click on the tower and someone searches it and gives you the accessory.
Im super stuck on the rank 6 fight. They just eat through everything I throw at them. Granted I only have one mantle, but I'm not sure if the second would help since my team gets wiped anyways.
@Ryujin583 I see, I was confused because he didn't use it and instead took it away in turns instead of stealing it, but it makes sense that it wouldn't work that much because of the defense, although I didn't know defense = lower change to be stolen (guess the ring item of free 5 negate if high party #)
@@666DarkWarlord just tested this, might have to try a few times but you have to rely on pp steal. i used gammel this time @ lvl 17. Iron sword sapphire pendant angel and raven plume. On the first turn if you successfully steal her pp you win. Thats it. Probably don’t need that much initiative too Edit: probably don’t need pp item too lol. As long as you survive turn 1 with evade then steal pp doing chip damage. You win. It’s incredibly cheesy but hey, it gets the job done
I beat the final fight with level 19 Gammel only. He did like 1 damage then dodged every attack until she ran out of AP and I won. For all the other fights I used a freeze cheese strategy.
@@jacari113 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zdHFKH4SYps.htmlsi=sRZzxn3FaXdvpvgT mostly stuff from this video but I did not follow it exactly since I had some better stuff than the guy in the video and some worse stuff.
You basically just need Dragoon's Warspear, Angel Plume and Heavenwyvern Reins from church shop, and the Frostbrand Tome. Everything else is just common items from shops that are just generally useful. Could probably do the same thing with Trapper's Warbow too. Just need an attack to hit all enemies and freeze them.
The swordmaster has truestrike, so you can't evade that. He has 48 initiative so you must stack bonuses to freeze him beforehand. Got there at ~lv16 and ran out of ideas. I just got Ice Conferral, but I still have to figure out how to deal with so many back row attacks because I ran out of Arrow Cover too fast.
@@kyrie-24 stack initive was the most I portent thing. My thief had 60 with an aoe buff on initiative for other characters. Thst with Alain aoe boost as well will let you out speed anything and Alain can block the true strike from the start of the fight
@@purplatypus7405 @sharkmanicardo I just cleared it. I one shot the Swordman before it could do anything using Alain Magick Attack (so it can't parry it) boosted with Gambler Coin (high crit chance) and Angel Plume (+20 init). It uses less PP than Ice Conferral, which allowed me to save PPs to evade/nullify attacks.
just have to be faster than the archer as for the sword master start of fight hit you can probably throw a hoplite or alain in there to block the hit and take little to no damage then freeze the enemy team I had to do a little changes depending on the fight but as long as you out speed them you should not have much issue
Yea I had to add a unit or two or equip the belt that let my thief live being killed one time. There was a few wall blocks but just throwing dif set ups and the thief/mage worked out haha, great vid def made things smoother then would of been@@purplatypus7405
Hey, What is Yahna's loadout for this (Frost tome, Mantle, angel plume?)? I can see Travis' and the Shaman's. Thanks also, cool video. Take care and best.
From what I see it's the chlopteran staff, icebrand tome, and the AP amulet. Have everything turned off except icebolt and the ice tome passive. Have icebolt prioritize non frozen and front row enemies and the passive target scouts
Really wish the devs would of made the arena be a full board wipe win condition to climb to the top.. Would of really made it a lot more challenging/rewarding. Doubt they would ever do updates to the game, but if they do i hope thats one major thing they do change. And maybe even add in more levels every few months or something
She is immune to passive seal which I think might protect vs passive steal. Either way I think this is even easier as you don't need a high level viking
Thanks for the guide. I beat the coliseum with a lv 20 Travis thanks to you. It did take some planning but I had a blast figuring out how to just squeak by some of the stages.
What's the point? You can showcasing a team that can beat her at level six when you can't get to her with a level 6 team? Why not just showcase the team that got you to Amalia?
This is the team that got me there. Just the thief and witch like I said. It has to change a little bit but I showed both teams I used for this fight and the other fights.
You didn't pay attention. The point of the video is that you can cheese through the colliseum by simply disabling all foes (Freeze) and outlast them by receiving no damage yourself. You can do that with a variety of characters as there are multiple sources of Blind that you can use. In addition to that, something which hasn't been mentioned here; the winner of the fight is the one with higher % HP at the end of the match; so there are options to simply outheal everything while dealing at least 1 damage to the enemy team. Colliseum is not about brawling your way to the top (you can do that of course, but some fights are pretty tough that way), but instead using the tools that are being given to you.
The trick I used to cheese it is (spoiler at least for the final battle) Rogue in front, kitted out with Angel Feather for Tailwind aimed at the back row Sorceress in the back row with 4 PP and Icebrand time Wyvern Master in the back row with Dragoon Dive spear gained from the castle you retake for Prince Gilbert and Wyvern reigns from Divine shard shop(this grants a Truestrike) Flexible 4th unit with white cat-ear hood and 4 PP The way the battles usually pan out, Travis performs an action on just about any target with his super high initiative, uses tailwind to grant the whole back row +10(+20 for the Wyvern because flying) Wyvern starts to charge Dragoon Dive(its a 2 turn attack similar to Solarbeam in Pokémon) 4th unit uses Quick Impetus to immediately let the Wyvern act again. Wyvern gets the self-granted Truestrike and the Sorceress granted Freeze strike and dove bombs the whole enemy team. They’re frozen, can’t act, and have a lower HP% than you, so you just let the match run it’s standby loop until the result screen(gotta have everyone set to not attack frozen targets) There are a few battles you may need to swap things around, like a troublesome one I had where a backliner keeps using Quick Dispel to get rid of buffs(which includes the Quick Impetus “act again” buff) I crafted a strat where Rogue uses War Cry, it gets dispelled, Rogue uses Tailwind, it gets dispelled, and 4th unit is a Shaman who uses Passive Curse and gets rid of that backliner’s final PP so they can’t dispel anymore. This doesn’t work on the final encounter as she has a shield that makes her immune to freeze. The answer here? Very simple. She fights alone. All you need is a thief/rogue to use Passive Steal in a 1-on-1, get the RNG that she doesn’t guard, and she can’t use her dangerous passive skills. She’ll use her active skill twice, missing both times because thief Evade, and the battle will end in your favor. You have all your HP. She lost 2 HP. Not sure what percent of 514 is 512, but it’s not 100, so she loses
I was able to beat Dreadnought only using a level 10 Travis. I just activated 2 skills passive steal and evade. Then maximized to 4 PPs and evasion accessories. Pretty neat only using one character.
Great guide! Took me 2 tries to get her second phase to work. The actual trek to Amalia feels 1,000% harder than these fights, my god the amount of RNG the 10th, 5th, and 2nd fight had almost drove me insane LOL. 🪦
