Watching this June 28 2021. I would like to cast my vote for Mr. Stevenson to be in charge of the USDA and the care of our food supply NOT Bill Gates. Thanks Shawn
Watching this while eating good quality beef and garlic with a bowl of avocado and sea salt and a bowl of strawberries and blueberries for dessert! Awesome video, Shawn! You da man!
WoW this is awesome. I really need it especially at this time. Loss my mom recently and i have been doing a lot of emotional eating but i am ready to get my health back on track. Thank you sir.
Wow! I am enjoying this presentation. I had some nerve-wrecking pain on my back and legs recently caused by influx of sugar. Eat a huge amount of sugar laden cereal for breakfast and some other stuff. I tell you the pain was excruciating. Now I know what this demon can do to one's well-being. My favorite food today is the cocoa. Thanks a lot Shawn for this show. (Feeling much better now after I cut out the sugar.)
Excellent video Shawn, off the chain with the science and references, love your personality and sense humor. Thank you for keeping it real... literally, ole school health knowledge, be careful my brother you're in my prayers.
I am from the uk my name is raj biring. I must sat shawn is brilliant and the other podcasts are so helpful and informative. Keep on doing gooooodddd!!!
shawn: what do you think about the saying eating organ meat feeds that particular organ? eg eating liver benefits the liver, eating heart benefits your heart health etc..
Cashews- kidneys, pecans-intestines, the actual fruit the cashews come from remind me of molar teeth, there is so much. I'm from south America and I can tell of endless fruit and veggies. Cacao is also great for the shin, it's oily as we make tea with it, so yummy.
Brocoli plus lemon .. moorish. Also certain veges if you cut them in sections look like various areas of the body .. 1) Carrot if sliced reminds me of the eye 2) Tomato if sliced reminds me of the the four chambers of the heart.
I am just finding you loved this video. Bought Eat Smart love it because I can understand it. I have been listening to Dr. Guidry, and have been trying to change my life style. My question is on tomatoes and lectin. I can’t find anything except from Dr. Guidry. Are Tomatoes a bad food? I hope you can help me. Thank you for your body of work.
It all depends. Some nutrients are more available to our bodies if the food they are in are cooked, some are killed when we cook them. The example that was explained to me about cooking was tomatoes. A raw tomato will not stain a counter top because the nutrients held in the cell walls are locked in and the color shows the the nutrients. If you cook the tomato to sauce it will then stain the counter top because the cell walls have been broken down, thus chowing that the cell walls have been broken down and will also be more available to your body. That said there is a lot of good to eating foods raw too. It is wise to eat both raw and cooked forms of most foods (with in common sense.) There are exceptions to this, like mushrooms are almost always best eaten cooked.
Peel and remove the seed, but you can place the seed inside the freezer bag with the avocado. If frozen whole, it will damage the quality of the avocado. I've done it that is how I know.
I don't mean to be crude or vulgar, but a couple of foods that I thought of that resemble body parts are bananas and eggplants. Bananas and eggplants resemble the penis and there may be peer-reviewed clinical research/evidence to show that these foods support the health and function of the penis.
