That was a great experience...thanks. The vegan dumplings, honey lemonade and cucumber were my favorite dishes. The decor and ambiance was very delightful. 🌴
Hi AK, I know you've been watching for the grand opening and the place looks amazing. I'll probably never get to see it. I think it's great that you and Sifat got a special invite. You both add such a positive vibe to your walking tours of NYC for all. 👍👍
Woohoo, you finally got to try Din Tai Fung in NYC!!! 🤩 This location is so upscale and spacious, and the dim lighting gives it more of an intimate experience. 😲 8:57 Their Vegan Dumplings are delicious! 😋 All of the dishes look good, and it's nice you got to enjoy the soft opening event with Sifat. 😃 Thank you for sharing this highly anticipated review, AK! 🤗
What a beautiful restaurant! They captured the sophisticated vibe of the city, incredible lay out, decor and lighting. The viewing of the chefs making the homemade dumplings was an amazing experience. The food was beautiful, looked so fresh
Thanks so much, AK. You and Sifat did an excellent job showing and sharing your visit to the Din Tai Fung. It looks amazing and now I am starving for some of their food. I am sure you really enjoyed your meal and thanks again for sharing with us.
This is awesome! I been to Din Tai Fung in Hong Kong and Las Vegas. They have so much to choose from. I never know what food to get there. 😂 It looks like you guys had a yummy time!😊👍🏻
As a Guyanese Trinidadian Indian American 🇬🇾🇹🇹🇮🇳🇺🇸 I’m also related to East Asian culture and Buddhism ☸️ I’m related to Bihar India and the Austro-asiatic culture and I always wanted to go see china town in nyc also I love your content and I sub to you ❤️
My SO was somehow able to get an invite to DTF so we tried it out last night, ambience was great, which is to be expected since its in Broadway. Food was good, but didn't blow us away, was not worth the wait and price. Pricing is on the high end but you're not just paying for the food..but the "experience" and the hype. It's a nice place to take someone out for date night. Reservations are booked a month in advance which is insane. Plenty of better tasting food elsewhere for half the price or less if you just want a good meal.
Nice Actionkid. Wow that’s so nice that your friend the NYC Walking Show had to join you along for dinner. That’s really Cool. The place looks beautiful.
Glad you got to try DTF. You took us so many times there in your livestream, I feel like I have to try it too. The best Bao I had was in Chinatown in London, gotta try it in this restaurant too.
I ate there as well. the space was amazing. staff and service was amazing. food was MID. the best dishesi ate was the dessert. better spots to eat around nyc. unfortunately, DTF invited many influencers this week to eat there and all were like "wow so good!! amazing". real review: all the food is MID as the kids say these days. I paid for my own check where as invited influencers did not.
Old AK has connections to be invited to a soft opening of that restaurant , I would prefer that ox tail soup at that place in Jamaica AK visited about three years ago .
4:20 Ni decor in that restaurant ,everything looks great 😎9:30That Menu looked great , and what comes to your foods they all looked delicious😋It was nice to see Sifat too🙂Thank you for sharing this dining experience A K🙂👍!!!
Been to DTF’s around the world and I would say besides the decor and the fact they serve amazing cocktails, the food and service was really subpar. In NYC? I’d rather go to Nanxiang for XLB.
Why don’t they just have one bottle of pre-made soy sauce mixed with vinegar, that save the trouble of mixing every customer 😂 And customer have the correct ratio without asking servers to mix it for them if they need refill
strictly for shanghai soup dumplings, go to Deluxe Green Bo in Chinatown, only $12 and just as good if not better than DTF. And I have eaten at a lot of DTF's. I ONLY get 3 items at DTF - soup dumpling, beef noodle soup and string beans... the rest of the menu is just blah.
Green bo is good for their pork bun, I tried their soup dumpling and is meh, willing to try DTF in the future to test. Soup dumpling so far is the one on Bowery street and Nan Ning
I agree. While I love soup dumplings I didn't think the Taiwan DTF was that impressive. I mean, probably because there are tons of good dumplings everywhere and beef soup noodles there was overrated as well. Looking at this NYC location w that kind of vibe and spaciousness, the prices def skyrockets.
I went to the one in Taipei 101 years ago and wasn't blown away. But I did wonder if it was just a mismatch in taste. Not alot of Taiwanese food I've tried hit the spot for me.
