Thanks for sharing this video. Must have been so bittersweet to be back at Magellan’s. My wife and I are sorry for your loss but are cheering you on, you are doing than you think you are Chris. がんばってね
You make me happy, when I'm feeling down. Thank you for always being yourself & sharing your story. Hearing your voice in this particular video brought me to tears. This ignited the empathic part of life to connect & say, "Hi, how are you? Is the weather nice where u are? I hope you have a wonderful day filled with love, fun, and wonder 🌈✨" I'm very grateful to your dedication, keep making videos & keep being your authentic self! Love is within you!
Thank you so much MonaJane. Anyone can go into a place and walk around taking photos and video, but I wanted to share why it's so special to me. Tell a bit of a story and showing why/how these places are special for so many of us for different reasons. More than a fancy well-themed restaurant inside a theme park.
Chris, I hope you know that your work brings joy to so many! Your resources helped me plan the trip of a lifetime to Tokyo last year & your videos are such a positive escape during this difficult time. Thank you 💕
Seeing the picture of you and John made me tear up. It's so sweet how you even got his favorite dessert (it's my favorite too)! I'm continuing to pray for you and wish you all the best ❤️Me and my husband ate there last year and the service was amazing. They gave us the secret room without us even asking too! It was truly magical and I would love to go back one day. Thanks for sharing 😊
I’m 2 years late watching this vid in 2023 but am bawling after seeing the pic of you and your late partner, John. 😿 Life is bitter sweet. So glad you’re honoring your love 💗
What a great video Chris. I discovered DisneySea in 2002 and it has stayed with me all this time. Truly the BEST Disney park anywhere! Your videos and virtual book which I just purchased are some of the best content out there about Tokyo Disney Resort. Thank you for doing what you are doing.
Thank you for making these videos, Chris. I’ve been a subscriber for so long. Your content is always amazing! 🤩 Can help but get teary eyed while watching this video. I’m sure that John was with you, enjoying that experience in Magellan’s. Much love from the Philippines ❤️
This seems like a lovely place full of lovely memories (not to mention lovely food!). I bet John is happy to see that you're happy, and doing what you love, from wherever he may rest now. That parfait looks delicious, btw. Perfectly cooked on top!
For my first trip to Tokyo DisneySea in June 2019, we got birthday drinks for my 27th at Magellan’s upstairs! Their drink menu is sooo extensive! I loved the little extra fancy vibe inside and would love to go back and have dinner next time! I read your beautiful post about your late partner, you really honored him well with that post. I’m so happy for you that you had such a magical time with him, and hoping that Disney continues to hold special memories for you. I am sending you hugs from a Canadian in Chicago. ❤️
I also had a wonderful meal here two years ago and honestly was one of the best table service restaurants of all of the Disney theme parks that i have been to and i have been to four Disney parks. The food is elegant and prepared with precision and the ambiance is to die for and photos do not do justice. During my meal, i sat almost where you were seating and i kept looking at the globe that does spin ever so slightly and the map of the stars. If you ever in Tokyo Disney Sea, please book a reservation at this restaurant and you will not regret it.
Thank you for this vlog! I couldn’t agree more: Magellan’s is the BEST restaurant at TDR. The food, the ambience, and especially the service are superb. I had the pleasure of celebrating there on my birthday this past December!
Aww always wanted to try eating at Magellans but was too scared. Maybe i’ll try it next time i visit so thank you! :3 Also, you sound so warm and so nice when you talked about your partner. :’) thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing and making this pandemic a bit tolerable for me! ;) I feel like im in the park whenever i watch your videos. Keep it up. Stay healthy and take care man!
I am a new viewer to your videos. You mentioned your late partner. I did some research. I am so sorry for your loss. I so enjoy your videos. Hugs to you from California. What a wonderful thing you are doing. Spreading joy. Take care.
hi chris that sleeve is so cute and handy that way you wouldn´t have frozen fingers and hand and that edamame soup looks great that have never ocurred me before but sounds interesting
Magellan's ❤️ My wife and I went a couple years ago and they had this amazing pumpkin soup. Great food, great decor, what an experience! We'll have to pick up one of those beautiful souvenir glasses next time we go 😍
omg the pumpkin soup! I've had the before. Ughhhhhh I want it haha. I think it's only in the fall/winter? I'm not sure. They change the menu so much. Get the glass, it's so cute!
Mr. Chris *virtual hugs* I am sorry for your loss (I read about your great love Mr. John through your link). You are such an inspiration because of your admirable strength Mr Chrish that I would never have thought that behind your infectious laugh and happy persona, you have experienced such great loss. *virtual hug*
Love when you share a memory of John❤️. Also the blue liquor is pronounced “Keer-uh-sow”. How silly do I feel advising YOU-multilingual human of any pronunciation!?
Tipping isn't done in Japan, right? But do you tip at nicer and more expensive restaurants like this one? It's always hard for me to wrap my mind around not tipping even though I think that is the better system and love not tipping while there. But I still feel guilty not doing it.
No tipping at all, anywhere. If you do it can come off rude, especially at fancier restaurants. Some places will add a gratuity automatically on the bill so you don't have to think about it. TL;DR Don't think about tipping at all, it's simply not done in Japan.
It's hard to get reservations for any of the table service restaurants, including this one. I have information on our dining guide! tdrexplorer.com/tokyo-disneyland-dining-guide/
If you ever need a companion for this trips, to film you, photograph, carry your bag, or simply just good company, please contact me! You are the expert major and I wanna learn and experience all this!!! You don’t have to pay me or anything. I'm just a photography graduate seeking to further pursue this career and you know a lot...and you know a lot about Disney!!!!!! Me and my partner are obsessed as well!
