I find it extremely entertaining that most foreigners eating Indian food seem to think that each dish needs to be consumed on its own, without any roti or rice.
For authentic Bangladeshi food, go to kolapata in Whitechapel. Head out of brick Lane to mile end road, take a left, keep walking towards Whitechapel. The restaurant is on the opposite side to Whitechapel station, might have to walk down a little bit. It's near the barclays bank. I would recommend akhni pulao (a dish that nearly all Bangladeshi mums cook during eid), beef shatkora and if you've got the patience to pick bones, elish maas biran (hilsa fish fry)
I visited this restauraunt, 2 weeks ago and the food was simply sensational! Lamb Naga Bhuna I ordered, best I have ever had and the staff are great too. Love Sheba!
It’s very interesting about Bengali delicious food! actually Hindu Bengali and Muslim Bengali’s two cultures blended become a famous Bengali delicious food in South Asia. Also “Sheba” meaning hospitality or take care. I enjoy the video!! keep it up ❤
you ate Misty KODU is normal Pumpkin. Kodu is Green Gourd , thats vegetable shop owner called wrong name . that call LAAU লাউ, kodu কদু is similar but short ball size.
I would say it’s Bengali rather than Bangladeshi because West Bengal is Bengali speaking and is part of India, whereas East Bengali, also Bengali speaking, is part of independent Bangladesh.
@@LondonkiLaliWhilst yes 80% of indian restaurants are run by bangladeshis. The food isn’t bangladeshi. It’s cooked to BIR standard. British Indian Style/Standard
A@@10cmontibia66As a descendant of Bangladeshi refugees, growing up in the city of Mumbai, I can definitely say that while they are similar, Bangladeshi food is distinct and different from west Bengali food. It's like Ratnagiri versus Konkani in maharashtra.
Plz collab interview with 40kahani he speaks bihari hindi accent Request: British Girl and Korean Boy Speak Hindi! Chai ki Pyaali with Lali Season 2 Ep07
Mishti kodu or kumra is just plain old pumpkin, and what you saw in the market was lau or just kodu. And most of the food you had were most certainly not authentic bengali/Bangladeshi dish.
What you ordered are also Indian food. 40% of Bengali ethnicities live in India in the state of West Bengal. So almost all Bangladeshi food is also Indian food. I guess the food you call as Indian in UK is mostly Punjabi food. There are 28 states within India each with their own food. Punjab is 1 of the 28 states.
@@LondonkiLali You may be right, but I will not be surprised if you find this in West Bengal. This appears to be a Muslim recipe, and 30% of population in West Bengal are Muslim Bengalis.
There are a lot of Bangladeshi and Pakistani curry houses that call them selves Indian restaurants. But you can actually tell the difference. The true Indian restaurant are actually very clean and serve good wholesome food. And waiters are also good looking. 😂
Not at all. You guys shit on the streets and make food uses your feet in india...and suffenly you became clean when your arrived to the UK apparently. 😂😂
