I think it’s because Japan has this obsession with characters, especially cute or 'Kawaii' things. I notice socially, it’s more mainstream for people of any age or gender to adore cute things, and IP commerce is huge in Japan.

It’s because Disney has character actors in their park, and they don’t want children being confused or someone misrepresenting a character. Children are allowed to dress up as characters at Disney, just no one who could be mistaken for the character.

it was very barely cosplay that's why it was allowed. it's more disneybounding. at the end of the day she was only wearing jean overalls and a purple shirt, can't call that cosplay 🤷🏻‍♀️

The Universal Studio doesn't have cast member, employee who wear costumes and act as the character, hence why all disney park doesn't let other people wearing it as it'll becoma a big liability to kids kidnaping, which no one wants. It will also makes it harder to know which is who if the park is filled with cosplayer as there's also disney employee who supervise their cast acting skill to make sure they're not breaking the character and ruining those magical feeling in Disney park where people has to role play as if they're actually meeting real disney character (not great for those who doesn't get role play)

I would say the mushroom pizza bowl or the yakisoba cheese bread! Or butter beer, but NOTHING with just heaps of whip cream. Definitely not the banana minion puff 😒
