Well, Indian government is giving out free visa for the first 5 lakh visitors/ tourists. Hope we can see you soon back in India. Love from Andhra Pradesh. 💖💖
I will come only if Zoya Siddiqui will allow me 2 go on a tour wz her. But zer still lots of covid cases in India which is not gud 4 tourists. Many indians do not care abt social distancing n also abt ''smells'' which we don't like.
Would love to watch you with ur dad in the next video enjoying Indian food. I know he also loves Indian food a lot .....I just love him, he is too sweet ❤💕
I remember when I was to return India from Bangladesh, the Pandemic had just hit India. There weren't any quarantine rules at that time but I had self quarantined myself after returning home . Guess who motivated me to do it? David! He had shared a reel of him being quarantined. This is a channel where a real Indian food lover /connoisseur shares the love of Indian food and the lifestyle associated with it. The descriptions are really accurate. It's a different kind of bliss sitting here in Kolkata and watching people eat our food thousands of kilometres away ❤️
David brother I appreciate the fact how much you cherish the memories and your Experience you share in your country which you had in India. I mean indian food , the way to eat indian dishes you practice in states .Your love for India , the food is highly appreciated brother . Much love and respect.
The practice of eating with the hands originated within Ayurvedic teachings. The Vedic people believed that our bodies are in sync with the elements of nature and our hands hold a certain power. Ayurvedic texts teach that each finger is an extension of one of the five elements: Through the thumb comes space Through the forefinger comes air Through the mid-finger comes fire Through the ring finger comes water Through the pinky finger comes earth When you eat with your hands, you are supposed to do so by joining all fingers together. This is believed to improve our consciousness of the taste of the food we eat. Not only are you feeding your body but also your mind and spirit. When you touch your food with your hands, you’re creating a physical and spiritual connection with it. You’re also much more present in the moment. When food is touched with the hands, there’s automatically more careful attention placed on it - what the temperature is, how much you can carry, how the hand must be held in order to keep the food in it.
wow this is beautiful and makes so much sense especially the middle finger and how we were introduced in using it in a demeaning way. thank you immensely for this shared knowledge
Very well said. Especially the mindfulness aspect. You also become aware of how much you are eating. On top of that, you are showing respect to most basic necessity on the planet which is food. That is why many people pray before eating for the blessing as not everyone in the world has food readily. Its about living with the planet and showing respect to everything around us in a conscious manner. This reduces violence and negative thoughts. Positivity only.
No, it didn't... Tamils were doing it long before that.. These North Indian hypocrites shame south Indians for eating with hands in the country but when it comes to Westerners, they bring in the tradition science argument..
@Heartthrob Goswamy if you meant to impress I’m pretty sure you did -but not in the manner you’d hoped. Unless you meant to make yourself sound low level( in which case you’ve succeeded ).
David's converting people left and right - third time doing a review at this place - must be good - definitely want to go there! Lassi looks great - bet it tastes great after a spicy meal! Too bad she didn't continue with her hands... need to try this method and get the whole experience!
Isn't gravy a English word 🤔 lmao .. DAVID MATE ITS NOT LONDON BEST FOR INDIAN FOOD! U HAVE BIRMINGHAM AND MANCHESTER BRADFORD LEEDS LEICESTER . RESEARCH BEFORE SAYING IT
David should be made the ambassador of Indian food for the USA! The way he explains the dishes to his friends and the fact that he encourages others too to have Indian food by hand is commendable. He knows it all! I as an Indian, owe you for disseminating the goodness of our food. Thanks for that!
U love ❤ India 🇮🇳 and Indian food ur very good man & triy more indian food I hop u'll like marathi food like bata bhaji & pori shrikhand it's sweet dish
Eating with hand was preferred because earlier utensils were made out of silver instead of stainless steel. Stainless steel is mostly neutral that's why for many people the difference is not there. But silver utensils are weird tasting hence the usage of hand is preferred
Although eating with hands is popular in India is very popular and many people do prefer it, there are many who use spoons too, like in Northern India. You should definitely try hands but if you are not comfortable with it, go for the utensils. I sometimes use hands, while other time utensils. Depends on the mood and how hungry I am really.
There is one saying….if we travel by car from Kanyakumari (southern Tip) to Kashmir ( Northern Tip) by road…We will Find a Different Biryani and a unique local dish for every 50km… ❤️ your work David…lots of ❤️ from India…
we eat by hand, bcz when we put spoons in our mouth we get that metal taste of spoon, and when eating with hand it feel good. and can't explain exactly why but this is the reason i think.
Yes. The metallic taste is a little annoying when I do notice it. However, as time has gone by, it has become less noticeable probably because my mind just ignores it or something. Eating with hand at home is still the best!
I am Indian as a kid at home with parents I used mostly everything with hads except liquid and gravy stuff...but now eat only rotis puris parathas naan dosas meat fish etc with hand...rice biriyani noodle upma vegetables dishes all these with spoon only it is easy that way.
If your coming to London to try Indian food, consider visiting a place called GYMKHANA (expensive but good. It has a Michelin star). Otherwise go to an area called Bricklane which is predominately Bangladeshi owned restaurants (these places are more spit and sawdust in comparison to GYMKHANA).
Hey! David. I have been following your channel for past 1 year. I love your enthusiam with Indian food. I will be coming to Florida International University, Miami for my graduate studies starting december. We can meet and have Indian food if you have time.
Thanks for changing the concept of Indian cuisine. You're absolutely right that not every dish is curry, it's gravy or masala. Lots of love. Keep going.
Chiken tikka masala was invented by some british Indian in England that's why it's national dish of England. Alot of British oppose it because they think it's not authentic british dish but rest support over the fact it was invented in England by british national no matter if he was previously indian.
So beautiful watching this ☺️☺️😘 I am Indian and born in London. Just to correct, curry tikka and masala, all invented in English for English men, after pub, they want the hottest dish 🤣 Indian here eat at home, I take my work colleagues to Indian restaurant, as they are all British White. The naming is made for British White people. .....but no complaints, you are great 🙏 Next time in London, ping me. Pani Puri, I make at home, you will like it. ... anyway, just correcting the dish name, like British couldn't say Mumbai so called it Bombay... By the way, been to Florida and Miami 2 twice, but you knowedge of Indian restaurant there helps.... thanks. You are great! More brave than mark wien and .... Food ranger... 👍🙏
What do you do? David - I eat food! I mean, what do you do for living? David - I eat food! Damn it, I mean what do you do for living? David - I eat food!
HI DAVID BROTHER I THINK UR IN DEEP LOVE WITH INDIAN FOOD .IN FUTURE IF UR IN MUMBAI PLEASE CALL ME ONCE .O LOVE TO EXPLORE FOOD WITH U 🙏👍 BEST OF LUCK FOR FUTURE AMAZING VIDEOS
Hi David. In my opinion you and Carlos were Indian in your previous lives...lol. You both have so much passion for Indian cuisine it's admirable and so appreciated. Thank you so much for show casing Indian food. Love your vlogs btw : )
Felt really bad when someone called eating with hands the primitive way ..... Being advanced does not mean that you will forget your culture... PS- David you really have a deep attachment with Indian culture. U always eat with your hands and enjoy your meal more than anything...!!
Eating with hand is not primitive .It adds a unique satisfaction .David I suggest you visit Hyderabad Biryani House for non veg biriyani ,spicier ones.Their branches in India serve really good biriyanies
i think its really fine if someone prefers cutlery because its your choice and theres not any disrespect as long as you are enjoying and not wasting food
That's precisely the problem with us Indians, some of us feel degrading our own customs makes us look cool. The waiter needs to be corrected, not David.
Man! You have no idea how much we Indians love you and seriously wait for upcoming stuff, not just indian food. You're an inspirational personality my friend
the reason why in india food is also eaten with the hands is because its belived in ayurveda that cooking and eating with the hands also charges the food with energetic forces in the universe that increase its nutritional absorbtion.
Not the premitive way... We love to feel the food we are to eat with our hands... That gives a special connetion with the stuff that we put in our system...
David, it’s about time you applied for an Indian citizenship. If they ask you any questions, just show them how you eat rice with your hands. Approved!
We have a short kid story/poem about coconut. Coconut falls on someones head and didn't die to his surprise, he couldn't control his laughter and the he died of Laughing. You know where i come from, Kerala🌴😂
RU-vid tactic: upload multiple videos to attract subscribers from a certain part of the world with a huge population so that views/likes/subs increase for monetary purposes.
David....you know the reason why Columbus went on with the sea trip? yeah you got it right mate ....he was en route to find the sea route directly that leads to INDIA!!! And..he accidently reached AMERICA and hence its first discovery!!!😊😊😊😊✌ btw..loads of love to you from INDIA brother!!!! absolutely loving your videos...cheers mate. interesting , isn't ?

The way you explained the Samosa chat, seriously !! honey you can start a chat corner in Miami and whip it out like any best chat in India !! you know Indian food Inside out !! you knew that the small crispies were called Sev !! yes indeed it is Sev it is chickpea flour with spices run thru a fine sieve and fried. for the kind of love you have for Indian food and the kind of knowledge you have about Indian food you should consider starting a small Indian restaurant yourself. I bet it will be really popular. let me know the next time you come to Mumbai. I will take you to some very unique places which I feel you have not yet been to. these are my secret joints for some finger licking good food !!
The least talked about Indian cuisine is Bengali cuisine we have an insane list of absolutely divine fish dishes. Kerala yeah yeah they make fish and rice too but theres is totally different from ours you gotta try out our Basanti pulao, patha(mutton) kasha and ofcourse the quee of all fishes hilsa. Also my personal favourite is chingri(prawn) malaikari (its got a bit of coconut goin on) but i can guarantee Bengali cuisine will be an awesome new part of Indian food you can try. Fish fry is a starter that you definitely shouldnt miss out though. Just the sad part is restaurants dont even make half as good Bengali food as what moms make at homes, so if you ever find a Bengali guy whi has great confidence in his mom's cooking just make em call you on a lunch be it at gunpoint or whatever 🤣. Always awesome to see people abroad enjoying our food.😁
19:43 That's not primitive, that's the cultural way of eating. Sad that the Indians themselves think it's primitive. Some people are still colonised in their head.
I am little bit worry for him as with nonveg he is eating panner and other milk products and in India we do not do this as it causes problem in stomach and skin so David it is a kind request to you that you eat just nonveg or alone milk product's with veg thing
24:24 You are correct in india peoples say `Lassi` and when foreigner they said `laasi` in their accent. that is not bad they both words are similar to each other and meaning is same as well.
The video was good 👍 History tip: British Raj from 1757 (Robert Clive won Battle of Plassey) to 1947. That is neately 190 yrs. They just sucked everything out of us
@@JohnJones-wo1bc Sure they conquered us, but by underhanded means. They looted us, just like thieves. There was genocide. Created two famine. Promised us that they will leave our country if our men go to WW1 & WW2 instead betrayed us. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Mind your tongue, I am the son of Bengal, I will not forgive them and forget what they have done to us. The Bengalis continuously beat the hell out of them, from BBD trio to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. If you don't have the knowledge then just shut up. But not all of them was a piece of sh*t. Those who loved us we loved them in return. That is also true today!
@@JohnJones-wo1bc Read up on history you fool. India did not invite the British. The British set up a trading post in India and then several others and then decided to rule the country and stripped them of their jewels. Do your research before making dumb comments.
Eating by hand is good for health too as through brain your intestine come to know about the texture ,heat and etc and prepare with required enzymes to digest the food
Next time try barfi.. these are milk cakes with different flavours.. i think u have tried it.. i think the best are malai barfi and kalakand.. Also, Rabdi is on a whole new level
