I'm still under great impression of meeting Terrel. I am honored to adopt the ancient seeds of the Great Tohono O'odham nation. I do believe food is extremely important. I grew up in communist Poland and stores didn't sell much so everyone had to grow their foods, eat locally, I ate my first exotic food like banana when I was a teenager. I appreciate my Slavic heritage which connects on many levels with the Native people of America. Food is who we are and what we become. We should eat our local foods, not processed. That's where the problem starts. People will be healthy if we only eat non gmo, heirloom local produce naturally grown. Our kids need to understand this.

I'm registered Tohono and unfortunately don't have much family left but am trying my best to learn as much as I can to keep our history going/strong. I'm happy to see this here but hope more happens but unfortunately it seems our tribe is dying out. It's heartbreaking and I hope to spread the knowledge I have to my kids and so on and so forth.... Fingers crossed things continue in the right direction.

Been reading a lot about the "Three Sisters," and a lot of native history came up in my reading. Glad to see this. Thanks for the talk, Bud.

Ske:g tas my grandparents were also farmers/field workers, my grandma has always stressed the importance of eating right and excercising. My mom and aunts also started working in the fields very young. Beggining my journey of working the land and eating right.

I believe as Natives we need to back to old ways. Such as farming, like now we can survive on the land , we need to teach the youth. Like now today people are in panic of food shortages due to Corona virus. You are doing a good job, blessings to you and your people.

the tepary bean is the main one and it's considered a superfood very nutrient dens and probably the most delicious bean. Many people think the tepary will become important around the world as we face the growing water crisis, it takes so very little.
