My gallbladder is so bad and I'm also mainly vegetarian full keto and counting calories is not an option mostly due to the keto side of the diet. I wouldn't count calories at all just a slightly larger window for eating is warranted especially with a bad gallbladder and time to process Fats. That window needs to at least double and take on a normal sightly grazing aspect cause eating and digesting can be really difficult and take up an entire day and can be really tiring so don't get down on yourself if you break your eating window. Just be ok with a larger window and become ok with healthy Fats cause it will help you feel full. Until the window comes open again. I was loosing a pound and a half a day just sticking to something similar to this and maintaining a daily activity and long walks help and just staying active. When I was approaching my period. I cheated, it's ok to have cheat days. Never go overboard but cheat days are a must. Definitely a must. That's when you eat to balance your hormones that's all and keep it Healthy. Just be ok with a much larger food intake window to process healthy Fats. It's not a negative to have a couple hour long window or so with a bad gallbladder, that window definitely should be what you need it to be.
I decided to do this OMAD thing since like 4 days ago, it's been pretty easy so far. The transition process is hard tho, my stomach literally growl once in every 2 hours
@@SB-eo9dw you don’t really have to tbh. You can simply just go for a walk or a brisk walk for 30min a day ( if you can find the time ). Its really beneficial if you go right before you break your fast.

Your tongue naturally grows papillae. When you eat food, it scrapes it away over time. When you're not eating, your tongue continues to grow papillae and over time it just gets bigger and more dense which is why your tongue looks white. it's not good or bad, it's simply nature.
I think the main thing I realized while doing the Omar diet is that you appreciate food so much more! Even the smell of food is so much stronger and enjoyable
Day 5 on OMAD along with running a few miles a day and I’m feeling so damn good! My daily work uniform especially my pants are feeling much more loose 😎. The hardest part is taking your mind away from food when your stomach is growling. Push for that late afternoon or evening meal, but don’t overdue it. Get a nice sized portion and eat it slowly to appreciate that meal. Also drink water throughout the day which helps a lot of taking your mind off of food. It’s all about dedication and discipline and you will have more energy 💪🏽.
Yup! Everyone is different! I’ve been on a weight loss journey for over a year and already had lost 80lbs. When I first started I could drop 10lbs in a week. No more! LoL
Ty Simpson Hey ! I did not track calories because I kind of know when I’m within macros. My regular lifestyle is plant based so I have to up my meal a bit more because the lack of calories. So when I want to amp up calories I’ll eat like 2 boiled eggs, a veggie burger with wheat bread, tomatoes, lettuce, and French fries. I get full fast so I just stop eating when I am full. And also I drank solely water. If you felt like having something different make detox water . Also adding 2 taps of ACV in room temp water will help surpass the appetite! If you need something outside of water just have one non-water drink. Moderation is key !
I've been eating one meal a day for 3 months , have lost 24 pounds and honestly don't feel hungry like I used to . I was constantly needing to eat something
Yes it’s a vicious cycle. The additives in the food we eat changes our brain pathways and turns us into addicts. That’s why it’s hard to stop eating. When Lays says “I bet you can’t eat just one”...it’s because they know you can’t.
@@ローラシ I skipped mine the month I did Omad so I stopped.. after that, it took me 2-3 months to get it back and then i gained all the weight back too.. how'd you deal with this? Howd you get it back without quitting Omad? Thank you!
Im 160 and my goal is 155 or 150. And i started to do the chloe ting work out.. and i will do her 2 videos and be on omad diet. For a week and hope to see results😪💓
OMAD works wonders and better when you cut all forms of carbs from your diet, as they trigger insulin so hunger, I am on a Keto OMD since September 26th I lost 40 pounds.
I’ve tried so many diets in the past two years and can’t get passed 4 days. So I’m trying the omad diet and it’s been a week already. I was 166.5 now I’m down to 157.0 which I do believe is water weight right now but I do feel less bloated which I like. My goal is 135.0 so hopefully I get there 🤗🤗
Same here, cheated on Sunday, weight starting off was 242 now im at 238. Only a week on the diet. Im drinking a Bang Energy in the morning and about @ 2:30pm-4:00pm I eat. Usually consists of a glass of water, meat or fish, small salad, orange slices, and try to get enough of proteins and vitamins in without to many carbs. Might eliminate bread next week. Eliminated sugar drinks and candy. Something easy. Keto/ fasting is my goal, but it is hard at night when your used to munching on snacks😂. Currently 9:48pm and trying to get my mind off of food
it works well when you're overweight. i did this when i was obese and the amount of weight i lost was just crazy. now my weight is normal (140lbs) but i'm on omad again because i've still got quite a bit of belly fat from when i was obese 2 years ago. i'm on day 9 of omad and i've only lost 3 lbs. and i'm only eating 1200 cals a day
Me too...Ate buger king almost everyday for my one meal... lol...Now Im 47 and just exercise and eat healthy...once I stopped eating once a day the weight came back...but I was young and could lose weight easily...I still kind of can...always been that way
I've been having 1 meal a day for 3 days and lost 4 lbs...I know it's mainly water weight but I eat whatever I have a taste for and drink about a gallon of water a day
I do omad like 2-3 days a week and the other days I’ll do extreme intermittent fasting like 21 hour fast while walking/jogging 3-4 miles a day and went from 305 at my heaviest to 289 in a little over 2 weeks. My eating period is around 4pm and I won’t go past 7 pm . And I won’t eat till 4 or even 5 the next day. Also do cardio first thing in the morning on a empty stomach , fat will just melt off your body literally. Just cut out soda sweets and junk food and alcohol . It’s so easy when you really put your mind and effort into it . As long as you stay consistent with changing bad habits it goes a long way with weight loss .
Kiereny Norman anything really , it was unhealthy too but try to make it at home . No fast food . As long as you don’t consume too many calories you’ll be fine . You don’t wanna make yourself eat food that you don’t like . You’ll never stay consistent
Kiereny Norman you can drink water all day I love water and it has no calories so drink as much as you want , you can do whatever schedule you like some days I’ll eat a little earlier but I’ll stop eating earlier . Some days I’ll just eat once a day . Some days I’ll do a complete fast . You can do this method earlier in the day or later in the day .
Hi, I'm a dentist. This happened to your tongue because chewing stimulates salivation and, if you don't eat anything, you do not chew and your mouth becomes dehydrated. So the tip is to always chew something between meals to keep your mouth healthy, like sugar free chewing gum.
A diet filled with dairy or having too much candida in the body also causes white tongue. She should probably drop the carbs and cheese. Dairy is horrible for the blood and the body. Dairy causes inflammation and many other issues.
I almost quit but I found it easier to stay away from pasta, bread and sugar .. once I stayed away from those foods my body wouldn't feel hungry afterwards and I had the energy to go on with my day till the next day... I also stuck to coffee and tea... I hope this helps anyone out there that's wondering why you still get hungry afterwards! Shout out to the person that gave me that tip it worked wonders!!! ♡♡♡ I have 4 children under 8 years of age believe me I know the struggle.
That’s amazing that you did it was four children under the age of eight! I’m doing intermittent fasting now with my four-year-old and 17-month-old in the house. It’s hard to not eat a piece of orange or apple when I’m giving it to them.
I agree. Pasta bread...all flour, and sugar trigger food cravings for me.I’m eating keto and fasting and have dropped 8 lbs in two weeks. I am beyond thrilled. Mostly, my excitement is because I don’t crave carbs..and it’s the first time in 40 years. (I’m 64) I’ve been trying to figure it out this whole time. I’m so happy I know how to stop cravings. It’s a miracle!
I was usually trying to have low glycemic meal (basically be around 20 points glycemic load per meal, maximum 100 a day) I was curious about OMAD since I'm already used to intermittent fasting with eating window of 6-8 hours usually. I don't want to cut carbs completely or go ketogenic but i wondered if I'd benefit of still keeping the glycemic load of 20-25 for the only meal, perhaps if i have an eating window of 3-4 hours to have also fruits as a snack but separate from the main meal, maybe wait 2 hours in-between at least (and aim for 20-25 glycemic load points again) Then i wouldn't have a 100 score a day but even less of 50-60 which sounds like an improvement in itself 🤔🤔 I like to do 40 grams of raw black rice and black quinoa mix, and bulk it up with 1-2 cups cauliflower rice and mix those together after cooking. It gives the feeling you have a big portion of rice while actually mostly eating cauliflower with a tiny portion of rice 😎 i love it , and of course other veggies and protein on the side. Always picking a main carb whether it's rice or potato or whatever , not mixing them. Now all i have to see if how it would work out for something like OMAD!
I started omad Nov 4th @317 lbs today Nov 15th @ 302 lbs. I have my one meal at 4 Its extremely difficult but it works along with cucumber, ginger, lemon water. I'll update in 2 weeks
Thanks for the love and motivation guys. Quick note: like I said i eat once a day and my tongue was white and really gross so I did some research and it's just the acids from not eating so I added fresca diluted with Perrier water just to add some sugar to my diet. Even after eating i get hingry at nights because im a late sleeper so i make a cup of tea i.e GINGER AND WATER ONLY Today November 26th I'm at 291.3 and I've shredded inches off my stomach as well.
7:42 regarding following keto with OMAD for sure would make it easier and you wouldn’t be as hungry, I think you can take bile salts for your gallbladder I know people who have had their gallbladders removed and that’s how they got around that :) you did great! Amazing job!
@@shea88barbie it's a digestive enzyme. I use them since I had my gallbladder removed and they really work. I use the one that Dr. Berg sells. But I used to buy one that I got from try Vitamin Shoppe.
Thank you so much,l have removed my gallbladder for 10 year ago and had problem with my digestive system since then.First time hearing about bile salt, l am going to purchase it today.l am so glad l readed your comment as well.
I don’t have a gall bladder either. I also use Dr. Bergs gall bladder formula. Also here is a cocktail to consume that works like a charm. Drink a tall glass everyday for a few weeks you will find a big difference. You will have to consume less as time goes on, your body will tell you. Oh yeah, and ditch those antacids and prescription heart burn meds that have serious side affects...it literally cures gerd and heartburn. Mix in a 2 quart pitcher 1/3 cup lemon juice 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar with “ the mother” ( funky stuff sediment in the bottom) 1/3 teaspoon ground ginger 2/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon 6 to 8 grinds of pink Himalayan salt Sweetener to taste ( don’t use sugar it messes your gut up) Stevia 6 squirts Fill the rest of the pitcher with water..if you need it sweeter, go ahead and add more. I got this from Steve over at Serious Keto...it works!
Your 4th con, dry mouth is due to Autophagy from fasting. The body doing maintenance, cellular recycling process. Basically, your body is getting rid of toxins because of fasting. It is a absolutely wonderful thing for one's health even if it's annoying. Congrats!
Different people, different bodies, different response ❤ I did OMAD for 30 days, no exercise. Lost 10lbs. Now on my 2nd month, doing low carb, still no exercise. I’ve decided to follow Dr. Mindy Pelz re following my hormones. Now I do OMAD and 2 MAD. The thing is, I’m really loving this low carb-IF lifestyle❤
@Katherine George, Stop using the word "detox" - there is no such thing as a "detox" in human body. Human physiology doesn't work like that, your kidneys do the detox, your intestines do and your skin does. There is no such thing as detox by eating certain food.
i probably have an eating disorder and am doing omad, which helps a bit because i feel less guilty eating a large meal because i know i haven't eaten anything else that day so like a 650 cal meal isn't going to make me not lose weight
@@lisabrunolli5014it's called struggling with disordered eating and also lowkey wanting to die anyway. Ideally i would eat 500 but i can't manage that without binging
I'm starting today and I'll keep up updating every week!! Goal weight:120 Weight rn: 193 Day 1: 191 Day 2: 189 Day 3: 188 Day 4: 187 Day 5: 185 Day 6 & day 7: 184 Day 8: i am going to have one little snack today because I'm kinda feeling sick but it's only going to be 120 calories Okay I believe it's day 12 but I stopped doing it for a couple days because I got really sick and the couple days I haven't done it i started treating my body bad by not eating good and not going to sleep early enough and I'm back at 187😢 but I'm going to start again and keep doing it so today I started working out and going on a walk and doing omad again so I'll fill you in at the end of today! Okay hey guys I wanted to update you I've been doing workouts on a app called female fitness and it's been helping I am going to start this again starting with today Monday and show you what I lost!this whole week I was losing weight... Day 1: 184 yay! I'm so proud of myself the workouts really work I recommend that app!
I didn't understand why people only do it for 4 weeks. It works better as a permanent way of life. I eat so much more at one sitting and I'm never hungry. All the good and healthy effects are lost when you go back to old habits
I think four weeks gives you a good idea if it will work for you in the long run. If I can’t see myself sticking to this 1-2 years from now then it won’t work. A healthy lifestyle is one that is sustainable and that will look different for everyone.
I have not watched any of your other videos so I do not know the reason you chose such a high carb diet but if you remove all that rice and pasta from your diet and replaced it with fatty meat you will have more energy and be far less grumpy and hungry or hangry.
I OMAD Mon-Fri and then for social reasons I don’t OMAD Sat/Sun... but even on Sat/sun I don’t feel that hungry but do want to be able to socialize at a tailgate etc. if I want.
Fasting causes gut bacteria to coat the tongue-it's a part of the detoxing process. It may have also been worse because of what you were eating at your meals (especially if you were eating grain carbs)
@@cct306 lol yeah it’s v obvious which ordinarily is fine but if she’s reporting on a ‘results’ video probably would have been better to have just gone natural
First off you meal looks bomb! I have been doing this without even realizing and it's just become habit. It has helped me to cut down on binge eating sweets all day. I tend to eat very late right before bed and am not hungry until the next evening.
That’s so strange I just started intermittent fasting as well and usually have one big meal a day and the same thing has started to happen to me where my mouth gets EXTREMELY dry
Yup! I said in the pros and cons that I had difficulty eating enough while doing this and was under eating which is why I probably didn’t experience all the benefits I could have.
I started intermittent fasting 4 weeks ago and I dropped 15 down and 2 inches off my waistline. I'm going to start OMAD only because I'm already doing 20:4 and its almost like I can't finish my second meal.
I am sooo excited to start tomorrow 😍 ! I am ready and happy to start this journey. Start weight : 195lbs Goal weight : 140 lbs ( I know it will take some time but if I can lose at least 10-15 pounds a month that would be great ! )
When intermittent fasting, you can become deficient in certain minerals that help your body hold onto water. In short, you need to add a pinch of salt once a day when you are drinking water. Otherwise water will just go through your body and you will become dehydrated, regardless of how much water you drink. In fact drinking a lot will make you even more sodium deficient because it washes out that small amount you take in with your daily meal.
Wow! I didn't know that. What about the pink Himalayan salt? can I add it to some lemon water? I also do a salt water flush like 3 times a month. Will that help?
Soooooo glad you mentioned that you "lost 8 pounds in 28 days and that's okay!" Most of what we see on RU-vid is people loosing 10 lbs per week and 30 pounds a month!!!! Thanks for the assurance that some of us have bodies that drop weight much slower.
I can give you some tips from my experience, cuz i use OMAD for years now and i can say that is really powerful tool. When you do omad try yo be keto, cuz it's much easier and you feel less hunger or you do not feel it at all. Food choices is very very important, specially like Lisa said you gotta hit your macros and that's why she had low energy levels on some days and the other reason for low energy levels are the carbs that's why you gotta go full keto. And my last and the most important tip is use OMAD every other day or once or twice a week and is more sustainable long run and is great tools to have less calories for the week and you still get most of the positives. P.S. Sorry for any grammars it is not my main language. And for white tongue I personally use more electrolytes as suppliments, more salt, also lemon water.
With OMAD I focus on making what I eat count, paying close attention to my nutrient intake. So the calories I get are healthy. I also find when I eat clean, I get fuller faster vs. when I eat junk.
I've been doing OMAD for a entire year,, I started January 1st 2019..i had 4 stone to lose (56lbs) and I lost all the Weight by the summer of 2019..ive stuck with it as it works. Yes I've fallen off the wagon a few times but this works and you will absolutely lose the weight and if you are careful you will keep it off and maintain.. ♥️
@@KrishnaVeni20194 if you are happy with the weight loss you can stop or even take a break, maybe try the 2MAD which is two meals a day, but you seem to have a good hang off it being so far in and achieving your goals, I honestly just woke up one morning and I could see the progress and that kept me on my path.. But do what you feel is best for you and your own body, either way you got this x best of luck
Funny enough I just starting losing interest towards food due to uni exams to the point I only eat once per pay and I'm satisfied. And I eat using a small plate because I easily get really full.
My family used to fast for religious purposes and our tongues would turn white. You are right! Toxins are being released! By the way, I’m currently on day 8 of OMAD!😍 Started at 182lb down to 170lb
The gum will cause issues with glucose spikes this will keep you from losing weight with OMAD.. no sweeteners or diet sweeteners while fasting promotes lower insulin allowing you to lose more weight.
Right now I am on my first day of intermittent fasting. I had the idea to 'fast' a day (only eat diner) and eat normally in a time period the next day. But I decided to change that and just eat in a time period. I'm fasting for 15h and eating for 9h (from 10am to 7pm)~
Taehyungs Kookie Dough That’s what I do , instead I stop eating at 6pm. I make healthy choices and make my own deserts since I do enjoy sweets . I make it vegan and low sugar , compared to store made.
When I did OMAD. I had the same issue. You are not really hungry but your mind is telling you to eat. It's so mental man, it's crazy! The struggle is real. It's an internal battle.
You restricted your diet too much , I eat an average of 1900 calories in one hour, I eat anything so I’m satisfied and happy, no one wants to eat a salad in your one meal, you have one hour to eat, I drink water like a horse, sometimes with LMNT electrolytes, but yea you have to eat whatever makes you happy in your one meal without going over your daily calories requirements, do some walking and some weights, been on omad 5 days already lost 7 lbs, you gotta drink a lot of water
I think your meals had to many carbs which ultimately slowed your weight loss. Rice is extremely high carb and that's what's turned into glucose whoch is what your body burns before it shifts into burning stored fat
Your white tongue problem was caused by your body detoxing. It would have returned to it's normal colour once you had fully detoxed! It's a shame you stopped because you didn't allow the body to complete its job. You still need to detox those nasty toxins from your body. Well done for managing 28 days but had you gone a little longer you would have completed the detox cycle ;)
A growing teen (assuming you are that) should not be dieting but eating wholesome meals. If you still depend on your parents, this is not for you. Please just be healthy, dear.
@Burger Man completely irresponsible comment to give to a child! Great for an adult but inappropriate here, knowing nothing about this person, who is almost certainly underage and still growing
@@aiai-j7i I disagree. If she is old enough to drive she is old enough to make diet choices. It sucks growing up fat, self confidence is low, and people constantly make fun of you regardless if its just a joke or actually meant to be mean. I wish I started when I was younger. But yes, please do some research and maybe consult a doctor before starting.
Sweetie, it’s just your body responding to your change of diet. It’s natural. And if Omad was to become a long commitment, your body would find a new normal ( balance). I’m proud of you!! You inspire me
