Is there any age limit to applying for the EB2-NIW visa? I am a Ph.D. holder from a reputed university (World Univ Ranking 601-800th, 2023 and 153rd Asia Univ, Ranking 2022) and have almost 25 years of teaching and research experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I also have several research articles published in internationally recognized and peer-reviewed scientific journals. I would like to be evaluated for the possibility of this visa. Hello, after you apply the EB2-NIW. To work in the US you will need a work permit and the visa will provide that.

Thank you for such a nice explanation, though i have a question, pls As you said the qualification for the EB2 National Interest applicant can be: 1. Advanced Degree 2. National Interest Engineers having only bachelor's degree with 10 + years experience in the similar field can only apply in the category of National Interest? They are not eligible to be considered as advance degree holder. am i right?

Advanced Degree could be if you have a Master; Engineer + 5 years or another professional with a certification + 10 years. About NIW -that is what we need to prove with base your resume + academic history.

HI there!, Thanks for the explanation. I completed my Ph.D. in Biosciences and Bioengineering from IIT (Indian inst of Technology ) and have more than 20 publications and 250+ citations. I already have 3 book chapters to my name and also reviewed many articles in reputed journals. I entered the US this year in March for my postdoc in J1 Visa. I am surprised why you looking such eb2 despite yu already proceeding on much higher level with regards to your studies which surely could lead you towards direct employment in US which off course a direct source of obtaining US Green Card i think you should concentrate on your ongoing postdoc which definately allows your family to stay with you in US. You already above that level required for EB2 applicants. Sincerely from Pakistan

Great info. I think I want to contact you with proper write up sometime this weekend, I have over 20 years of experience with proper salary increments and different roles. I am in my current project for the last 4.5 years except for 6 months in between as I was moved into another project to help them and my Ex-colleagues from both teams simply love the way I work. But not sure whether that is something that supports me. I also have an award that I won for major improvement to the process from my previous organization, actually have multiple but never stored them, the last one was stored by my wife for some reason..
