Thanks for the video. I was concerned about how the valve functions and its reliability. Your non-narcissistic manner and candid humor get 5 stars IMO.
I just fitted gauges fir my rx8 got the cheap blue plate and fitted it then a new filter then started the engine and see it leaking straight away I need different oil filter so the seal fit better the m20 bolt looks like it should have a washer to help seal
:) i have one of those for years in my car , just put a decent oring. I pay for it i think 15€... worth it. *just remember mine has a perrin mark on it :)
Buying cheap products from China and argue about the design/quality.....What’s wrong with you 😅 Go buy U.S made products and end up with ur wallet empty
OMG. RU-vid has these 3 rectangular things for me to pick under your comment that says "Great point! For sure! Good call!" It is soo narcissistic, and superficial, I cannot even begin to believe how this is beneficial for anyone.
@@xnotx2 I am important! I demand positive feedback! They might as well just make it automated, so I don't have to do anything at all. Like one of those AI girlfriend apps or something.
You sir!! Just made me soo much more confident in buying a cheaper thermostatic adapter!! I literally after watching this ordered the same one in red for basically same price.. i will do the same n go to a parts store and try and match the shitty 170 stat they install for a decent 195-200. Thank you!!
@@RustBeltAuto theres an upgraded part number to the stat you used.. the pin was not crimped into the crown of the stat like yours was.. it looks good! I have a $7 195° stat now
Hello there, I was going to buy one of these since I just realised the previous owner of my 1995. Chevy diesel truck deleted the oil cooler and just connection thru this instead of the original port on the adapter. Would you say to avoid it? Thank you
@@blackincawston yes I did. It seems to work fine. There is another video on the install on my playlist for this car. There are a few other things I did different on the thing.
@@erikmackloet6551 maybe tore it, or it rolled over? Is there a good chamfer on the top, so it goes in nice? Is the bore clean, round, with no grooves, or defects? I dont know what size o-ring should be in there. It should have a little tightness of fit. Just a little
Ive literally just received the cheap version today and thinking the same thing . Ive noticed they sell inline thermostats for the AN10 fittings but im probably gonna just order one of those thermostatic ones
I hated my thermostatic switch. They end up trapping oil in the lines and you end up having lower oil pressure. I even tried adding an extra quart and it would still have less oil pressure when cold.
Dang bro, you did a good job... I click just because it says oil cooler and as you ramble on I was like, ahh, this is good stuff. Appreciate how you set the camera, your tone of voice, and honest opinion. 🦥 ***Can't find the installation video and afterthoughts***
