Id love to know if you was able to fix the one with no HDMI display, I have the exact same issue and tried to switch it from component to HDMI and got the same results as you did. Please update us
@@niesz I actually got one for free! I'm glad I waited to buy. But you're right, the online prices were not nearly this low when I was initially searching for a Wii U. Now I just need to find a dirt cheap (preferably first gen) Nintendo Switch 😇
@@nieszHello, do you get to the recovery menu, do you press the power button on the wiiu logo??? I can’t access it even though I follow all the instructions
I got 3 from one ebay listing for $49+$7 shipping, aswell as 1 from facebook marketplace shipped for $20+$12 shipping. Total was around $95 for 4 Wii U's, all power on but 1 has sync button issue, 1 is bricked which the recovery menu didnt fix im gonna try some other things hopefully figure something out with it, 1 has a broken fan which ill be easily replacing once the fan i ordered arrives. 1 is stated to have a bad disc drive which i havent tested yet but if it is i might replace it (ik about the marry'd logic board) or ill keep it as a low cost homebrewed console since once homebrewed the disc drive doesnt matter. I got a gamepad for $35 in great condition some how, im just waiting for that to arrive.@@niesz
I have 32gb Wiiu, wich powers on, blue light on, disk drive spinning two times. But no hdmi nor component output. Unable to pair wiimote, unable to connect gamepad guessing password. Console looks like new, not opened before, clean fan. Able to hard turn of pressing 4 seconds, but 2 second press won't work. What could be the problem?
@@niesz looked at it: all pins intact, nothing bend, port not wobbling. Should I be able to pair wiimote with console blindly after console loads? If I should, does it mean that console is actually not loading its OS? Ps. So just to compare, booted up my other working 8gb white reseted console and it's optical drive is spinning only once before booting in to OS. My broken black one is spinning it's drive twice. I also tried to pair wiimote, but console only proposes to pair gamepad. So It might be possible, that if my broken console is reseted, it won't accept wiimote pairing before paring with gamepad. I also tried brute force all 256 or so available code combination, but non of them worked.
For console 11:05 I heard you say you have this issue before. What are the fixes that you have had to do for this issue? I recently got one that has gone through a similar issue, i took some tweezers and pulled the physical button out, then i cleaned with a bit of alcohol. My issue is it still doesnt feel as good as it normally should, sometimes even not pressing still but does still end up pressing after some tries its just too finnicky for my liking. Any information is helpful as this issue doesnt seem too common. I dont know if i should attempt to swap the faceplate because maybe the red sync button took damage or if i should try to clean the button a bit more but i felt like i cleaned it well.
That’s very odd. Have you confirm that the game is working another way you, or gotten a noon working game. I’ve gotten a few discs out of we use that will not read as well.
Thank you for sharing this, can you tell us (or better do a video on it) what do you do with the console that got stuck on the WiiU logo. Also do you have some console that will not display anything on the TV or the gamepad when using the UDPIH tool on the SD Card, is so what do you do then ? Thank you for the help
If it gets stuck on the Wii U logo, I have not been able to get around that. As for those that don’t output HDMI the recovery tool has a separate option to force it down into 480 PU usually can see it on the screen at that point and connect a controller.
My Wii U no longer works because of the weird standby console brick I didn’t turn it on for a while and it just stopped turning on completely if you have a fix like the other Wii U you fixed please make a tutorial.
