Ebike Range Challenge.. How Quickly, Can I Run A Dual-Battery Engwe M20 Flat? 

Hi Steve I’m quite new at all these I’m hoping to do a mountain bike ebike thing is I’m short what kind of brands do you find that it’s easier to get yr leg over,as ive got lymphoedema and can’t get my leg that high also would you advise to take the middle chainring and have it at just the back?and last question I hope to go camping with it so would it be best to put a front motor on it or back as most of the weight will be at back and I don’t want to end up on my ass.advice and answers would be fantastic thanks again.

I'd be worried about the coppers riding one of those because it looks like a motorbike, they might be curious if they see you bombing along and notice there is no number plate. My current ebike has pretty similar performance to the ridstar but I used a hardtail MTB so it looks as much like a bicycle as possible while still being able to do 40mph.

@@ramborambokitchenkitchen6357 Just don't fly around everywhere trying to pull wheelies and sht and you should be fine. Pedel past the police when possible too.

@@allanshrimpton3500 I ride very sensibly even on my legal 300cc scooter but you just never know with these ebikes lol, with my current build I did all the cable management super neat and tried to make it look as much like a factory 15mph ebike as possible, so far so good I use them for commuting to save petrol money.

@@DudeStuff not good out there stay safe I carry a bar that I've made look like a pump on my crazy bird jumper as my bike gets lots of attention better to have something than nothing

The bike will do around 27/28mph flat ground when unlocked

But I was going 15.5mph the entire time 😄

E26 is one of their best bikes. l20 you want to replace the brakes to hydralic ones.

@MarvinWestmaas torque sensors are good I guess they just add cost. Hub motors are sweet I love hub drive!

Think that's bad? I only found out after buying the ridstar q20 that it's 1000w hub motor has planetary gears. I was livid that they didn't mention that. I'm going to replace my hub motor with one without those ridiculous nylon against metal planetary gears.

​@@colinriches1519just get a direct drive and then you never have to worry about gears or any of that stuff because they are gearless. Only downside is they can feel a bit sluggish at hill climbing if you aren't running atleast 1500w of power output as usually they are much more efficient at top speed.

@@ramborambokitchenkitchen6357 Yes that's what im going to do. I've decided to get a 5kw direct drive hub motor wheel for it. I've got a 72v (20s 8p) battery and a spare sabvoton 72100 controller from an old scooter. That should be over 7kw, more than enough power. I'm also going to keep the chain and pedals on so that it looks more road legal.

@fireblaster9961 I mean you can't take my word sitting on it or you can look at a camera bouncing up and down on a 4ft pole to decide lol It's not the most comfortable ebike I've ever ridden bit ot generally is comfortable. I wish the seat was a little longer.

@mattybatty304 depends how big the hill is lol pretty much all ebikes struggle with hills to some degree but are a 100 times better than not having electric. A 2000w kit would be decent but even this would be ok
