I feel like every Star Wars story needs a ship that is somehow the heart of the group of characters. The falcon from the original trilogy, the ghost from rebels, and now the Ebon hawk
They want me to watch a minute & half ad of Menards before getting to see the vid. I don’t always do it, but this is a consistently cool ass channel. So worth it.
I just had a thought. Darth Vader kills his subordinates for incompetence. But Sith derive their power from anger, so wouldnt incompetent subordinates be a valuable resource to him?
@Amir Wouldn't a chronically incompetent underling be a useful source to cultivate hatred though? Screwing up once can induce anger, but if you have someone who sticks around with their annoying incompetence, you could cultivate that simple anger in to a deep rooted hatred. Imagine the extra power from having someone like Admiral Ozzel around being a contrarian screwup all the time to hate...
I find it amazing why the Star Wars galaxy’s technology hasn’t advanced in thousands of years.... they have technologically plateaued Also a hut smaller lol that’s huge lol
Captain Fordo Star Wars something the meta nerdz dude said “Star Wars is one of those non rigid science based franchises” or something like that.... I guess so, theirs loads that’s so off with Star Wars they annoys me but I just let it go over my head Their version of hyperspace is all wrong and the amount of crews their ships have is mad but hey it’s a movie whatevs lol
Marcus W this very topic has been addressed in other starwars channels here on RU-vid. My personal theory is that in the starwars universe technology has been max out and they can in small details but not new tech revolutions. Also considering the technology they already have they probably don't feel the need.
Lol when he said the cost I instantly thought of inflation too lol, seems the republic is manipulating its own currency shady business.... we need teleportation in star wars that’s for sure (it’s not that far from hyperspace technology using subspace)
Great video as always, can't wait for that "debt collecting" video you mentioned on my previous comment, I think that would be cool to see how people in the SW galaxy "conduct business". But other than that, I think that ship is a classic even though I never really played the game.
In my headcanon the ship would've been eventually recovered by the Jedi Order and hidden somewhere in the galaxy, with the Jedi spending many millennia painstakingly restoring the ship to working order (supplementing the ancient technology of the Ebon Hawk with modern components) all the way up to the Clone Wars in the hopes of uncovering Revan's secrets, namely the location of the Star Forge (which could probably re-assemble itself if we assume it uses the same self-repairing technology as the Star Maps). I had this idea that it could be stolen by an exiled Jedi during the Clone Wars, who would then join the Confederacy of Independent Systems, making it the Dark Side counterpart to the Millennium Falcon.
I don't remember well, but I believe that in the Old Republic MMORPG the Ebon Hank is in a museum in Corellia, as part of the republic trooper story you have to choose wheter to destroy the ship for landing troops or make things more complicated, some of the corelians get prety mad at you if you destroy it. Now I'm not so sure if it was the Ebon Hank but I think it was.
I would think my Selonians (from my Basilisk War Droid comment) would pilot both these ships and a mixture of Corelian freighters, other Corelian ships, Lucrehulk vessels, those command ships from the Old Republic Era, and multiple large ships For 'ground assaults' (buffet raids) they would utilize those pirate ships Hondo Onaka used, BB-Q Transports (ships of their own design) and vastly-upgraded Q-Wings Did you also know that I have a soft (heh, soft) spot for morbidly obese Selonians? Well, it's certainly a better canon than the Star Wars Holiday Special
OEM stock parts? Not likely as the company went out of business/bought out by Kuat. Oh, I am sure if you had the credits Kuat might be able to sell you something, if any spare parts made it through the change of ownership. And what warehouse moon they were stored at. That being said, modding your craft is a very popular pastime in the SW universe. I am sure you could find some 3rd party replacements here or there for most of the main components. If not, break out the welder and some bypass cables. Its amazing what you can fix with some Bantha tape and enough determination. 😁
the only difference is 24 m to 27.24 m length or 22.5 m to 25.94 m wide depending on the Ebon Hawk or a generic Dynamic-class. The one I used it the video is the most frequently used for the Ebon Hawk
