This poem perfectly embodies how I have felt since coming to college. I'm doing so well, but that doesn't stop me from feeling drained, exhausted, lonely, like im not enough, and so much more, but I love what I do. I know I have success & love in my bones, but sometimes I really do just want a shoulder besides my own to cry on. Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece!

Best thing someone said to me at one of the lowest, grittyest, most painful, lost, alone times of my life, was "you're gonna land on your feet" wow...I could breathe again and I looked forward and around me, and lifted my eyes to thank god, for that lady on call during that lostass point I was in

The one dislike is from abusive ex

I don’t know bout anyone else but I know that I have listened to this poem over a thousand times and sometimes I find myself reciting this poem as if it’s mine when it’s not but lord this girl is so amazing she’s my favorite poet

There are bumpy paths and this inspired me to achieve my goals going through depression emotionally abusive relationships at a young age wondering if I’ll ever find love but why em I focusing on love and I’m young and have my whole life ahead of me … telling myself the future will await me a man for the woman I am becoming

I wish being a good person paid more... I heard it's the wounds people can't see that hurt the most But I've seen sunsets that look like tomorrow. ... You're inspiring! Love what you do and do it with excellence. This one line I will always remember, "If your path is more difficult it's because your calling is higher." And indeed my path is difficult and dark because I can't see my next step in front of me all the time.

I know her, and we've competed on many the same stage. I'm am an avid #MentalHealthAwareness advocate and spoken word performer, and I love this so much. I travel the country trying to bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, hospitals, and on my RU-vid channel, so I get excited when I see other advocates. 💙❤
