You guys need a marketing guy to do marketing for you. Your content is getting very good. I am starting out in devops. Previously a linux system administrator. Can you guys make a series on Devops real life scenarios with best practices/standard practices. With a bit more real life architecture? I have seen you Devops videos they are really awesome. @@ValaxyTechnologies Sir in previous video you mentioned this "User-defined tags are not copied from the source snapshot to the new snapshot. After the copy operation is complete, you can apply user-defined tags to the new snapshot".

Hi sir. i have understood the aws DLM concept in a betterway. Thanks a lot. But , i have a one doubt. i have created life cycle manager at 12.00 pm and i give the 12.15 time for creating snapshot in the snapshot createed policy.but when i refreshed the snapshots , i have not seen the snaposhots of that Ebs volumes . please help me sir

hello I hope you can help me with a question, I'm doing tests with a windows server instance of 30gb (it's the test), I have no problem with the creation and restoration of snapshots, but my doubt goes more to the following: every snapshot has the same weight as the volume to which the snapshots are created, does it mean that if I have 3 snapshots of my 30GB volume in total I have 90GB in the snapshots? from there I read an article from the same aws where they say that the snapshots are incremental, but I do not understand if it is normal for each snapshot in the size column to say 30GB, I hope you can help me I would appreciate it very much

"Name" is all but another tag in AWS, Make sure your tags are copied to your Snapshots

sir, if we are in the ap-south region and wants to automate ebs snapshots then creating these snapshots in life cycle regions, will cost us high latency.so what should the ap-south region users do?

Unless you copy(either manually or through lambda) the snaps from one region to another, the snaps will remain in the same region. Snaps always cost money for the amt of data the snaps hold and not the size of the disks. In any case, EBS DLM is available in almost all regions now. you should try to watch the full video and check it out in your account too to have a good understanding :)
