If you are reading this in 2024, I strongly recommend using another company to get the ECA. This is what WES should communicate publicly: "Due to a high volume of applications and temporary capacity challenges, we anticipate delays in the completion and distribution of evaluation reports." This is the message you will get when you call their customer service line. These temporary challenges have been ongoing for months. Customer service representatives are incapable of providing relevant information.
It depends on what you need the document for. I haven’t tried another company so I can’t really tell. I would recommend asking on WES’s socials if anyone has tried another organization. I remember some people posted on this topic a couple of weeks ago.
I started my evaluation with WES since May 5, 2024 I am still waiting for my evaluation, they’re still “analyzing my docs” I’ve called and the customer service representative stated that she would elevate my application for a status update but at the moment I have not received any confirmation of my documents or any other update. The second call she wasn’t even able to give me any information, any dates, besides that I need to wait and keep checking their website. If you want to cancel the process because they aren’t doing them job, they’ll charge you $52 fee. what really resembles a scam

WES Timeline Update (June 2024 ) : I sent physical, attested copies of my bachelor's and master's degrees by mail. For my friend and myself, I submitted our documents to WES, which were received on March 28. It took 10 working days for them to enter the documents into the system and start the review process. The review itself took 20 working days and was completed by July 28. The status is now accepted, and an evaluation completion date has been provided. For those curious about the timeline, plan on about 2 months in total: 10 working days for WES to receive and enter your documents, 20 working days for the review process, and an additional 5+ working days for the digital PDF to be issued.

I'm about to send my documents to WES for course by course evaluation since I'm planning to puruse my MBA in U.S. While filling the form, I noticed they're asking for "recipient address". Is that necessary to fill? Because the university that I'm planning to pursue my MBA from does not know about me because I haven't started any process nor did I initiate any communication from my side. Even if you haven't initiated the communication, you would know the details of the department you are going to apply and doesn't matter if you haven't initiated the process as WES sends electronic authorizations to the universities so they can check your report anytime when you apply within 5 years of its validity. So what you are doing is granting those universities access to your report. Doesn't matter if you later apply to them or not. All the best!

Hi, Thanks for supporting the channel, not sure why they ask for standard delivery charges for electronic reports but they do. The report via email or on the site will be unofficial report and if you are applying for a university or immigration in any country, they will only accept report provided directly by WES and will not accept if you send them by email or send them a copy yourself. You can download the report from the site, sometimes you have to wait once you get email as the report might not be immediately available. I hope that helps :)
There is confusion regarding whether we have to also request the university to give degree certificate (signed & sealed) along with the transcripts (saw a youtube video) and is it necessary to make the university fill the Academic Records Request Form?

Hi, I had similar case, you only need to send engg transcript, only provide diploma transcript if WES requests for it, you will get a 4 year engg equivalent, I am saying this by my own experience.

Hi, WES canada and WES US is different entity and evaluates for different countries so you cannot transfer and unfortunately have to do the process again.

I am confused by the fact that during the WES application, IRCC is added by default (and can't be removed) as a recipient. This is because in IRCC's Express Entry webpage, it's clearly stated and I quote: "Don’t ask the designated organization or the professional body to send us your report." (this can be found under Documents for Express Entry -> ECA: How to submit your report). Can you explain more about this? Is this a problem? Does that mean that WES will send the report directly to IRCC, electronically?
Hi, Electronic reports are never sent but rather authorized, so here WES doesn’t send them report but attach a report to your profile and gives IRCC authorization to look at it (provides them with view rights) so whenever you apply and provide your WES number, IRCC can immediately go look at it. What IRCC mean by not sending doc is the physical documents directly to IRCC, they don’t review like that. I hope that helps!

I contacted my university and they have explained me the entire process and are willing to send my documents to WES. Hi, evaluating a credential for 2 different countries requires 2 separate processes, wes is just a medium used by both countries, its canada and US evaluation needs to be done separately as they are two different entities.
Very confused if we need to put WES number as well as ECA number or just the ECA number. As in Canada, PEBC which is pharmacy examining board of Canada provides ECA so that we can be eligible for FSW. If you can guide us with that. No information is posted on this anywhere!
If pharmacy examination board provides eca then why are you doing wes again, ultimately they both are ECA, so put whatever is relevant, whatever can show your education and not your pharmacy credentials will be important here, 4 years of degree eca is what we need to find.

Hi, WES doesn't care about your passport, always use the names you used in academic credentials, affidavit will be needed for immigration purpose as WES will only use names in academic documents.
In the initial stage(1), may I inquire if it is permissible for me to personally utilize a scanning device to capture an electronic copy of my academic certificate , subsequently proceeding to upload said document to my designated WES account?

For the account profile, please use details as per your passport but for the Degree certificate information please mention the name as per the degree certificate as they will evaluate by looking at your certificate and not the passport. Hi, sorry I cant understand your question. For masters evaluation, if its first time, yes you have pay. The education evaluation is for a degree and not a person so you pay for each degree you want to evaluate, i hope it helps!

Hi, In the delivery screen you can add multiple universities in the section "Institutions receiving report". Incase you already have the report and you want to send to another institutions, you will have to request for duplicate report and add the institutions of your choice. And, yes you will have to pay extra for this.

If you have masters in Canada, that has more points as compared to bachelors and so you don’t need any approval or validation for your bachelors, you only need to validate your highest completed degree. Your statement doesn’t align, its its autonomous and creates its own certificates or its affiliated and approves through university. You can check with your institution first.

Hi, Yes, you need to do the formal transcript request from your university , generally if university is listed in WES, then that university website does have a step by step instructions on how to request, also in your WES account you should be able to clearly see the instructions, I have shown example in the video so please take time and watch the entire video to understand it better. Hi, Thanks for supporting the channel. WES Canada checks your Education for Canadian Equivalency and not US. In some cases the US University does accept Canadian Equivalency but thats not always true, I would advice to ask university and if they need US Equivalency only, you might have to request for that accordingly.

Hi, yes you can as long as you are applying for Canadian institutions - valid upto 5 years. After that just apply for duplicate report, so technically once evaluated, its useful forever.

For your question, it depends on the receiving end, if they require transcripts, you will need to provide transcripts only. If its course by course evaluation or transcript, you can choose to evaluate with grade sheets. But you cannot send anything to WES yourself, they will not consider without the authorization form signed by your university.

Please as regards WES evaluation, the year of birth on my transcript is different from what I have on my intl passport which is the correct year of birth, I have contacted my university and I was informed it CANNOT be updated. Can I proceed with the evaluation even with the year of birth disparity, will it be an issue?
Hi, it might create issue regarding the authenticity of the document, ideally transcripts don’t have date of birth and so they don’t look at it that way but they might send you a message if they feel that you are not the same person as mentioned on passport. Hope that helps.

Hi, The instructions of what you will have to submit and what your university will have to submit will be in your account once you finish the payment, the instructions defers from university as well as countries. Hope that helps.

Hi, My surname in my degree certificate is different from the one in my passport. Only the first letter of my surname is present in my degree certificate, whereas the full name is present in my passport. I added the details in the credential section as per my degree certificate. Will this cause any issue in the ECA process? Also will there be any problem in IRCC process?
Hi, for Wes its ok, you have to make sure the name in degree matches with your application. For ircc you will have to make sure that you attach affidavit which states that both name is the same person. I hope it helps, please subscribe if the channel is helpful.
Hi, If you are getting that option in your account, it means that a company called "Qualification check" will be able to expedite your verification process for additional cost and its way quicker than WES, ultimately allows you to apply to choice of your institutions quickly. All the best!

Hi, do not follow passport here, its for education credentials evaluation, so the name should be same as degree certificate, later you can affidavit to prove its the same person.

Hi @invest4k I graduated from ABC College, which is an affiliate of JNTU Hyderabad, but I don't see my college name I only see the university "Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad", What should I use?
It is a diploma from University. But if I do select University education, I only get 3 options to select from, Bachelors, masters or Post Graduate doctorate. I have no option to input Diploma in there after I select University education.

Hi, after you submit the payment your account will show options for uploading digital copy of documents while you prepare for official transcripts to be sent. The process only begins after you submit the payment, however there is no deadline to it.
