In previous years Eccles RFC has held a number of Beer Festivals to help raise much needed funds for all sections of the club and its community projects. This has had the additional benefit of promoting the name of Eccles RFC within the Real Ale fraternity. All this has culminated in Eccles RFC being voted Club of the Year for two years running by the local CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Branch. It is not by chance that Eccles RFC is now known far and wide for good real ale.
This year we're holding a bigger than ever Summer Beer Festival on 17th & 18th July. This will be more than twice as big as previous festivals with over 40 beers & ciders on offer (the figure could even reach 50 beers & ciders if we sell enough tickets). To achieve this, along with the main club bar we will erect a number of temporary bars in the club house.
There will be hot and cold food available as well as a BBQ throughout the weekend. Activities and competitions such as a tug of war will also be run throughout the event. Keep up to date through this event page or via @EcclesBeerFest on Twitter.
