I bought a cs-310 as a temporary saw when I lost my husky rancher, over 50 Rick of wood later I don't think I'll ever buy anything but an echo, very underrated saws that I think are going to be in the spotlight for a long time to come

Great video guys . Great to hear from the experts !

Echo has really been working to be a contender with the "big two". I've heard nothing but good things about Echo. Here in NC, they're quickly replacing Husky as a go-to pro saw, especially with husky pulling so much dealer support. I can't agree more about the 462 not having the bottom end to pull long bars. On the East Coast, I rarely see them with anything larger than a 24". Nothing yet, can compare to the 371/372xp. Simple, reliable, powerful, and with a smoothness that just redefined the entire market. Thanks for the excellent video!!

Thanks for the video Donny. Great to hear initial feedback on the 7310! Echo did a good job designing this saw.

Excellent video, Donny! And thank you, Andy, for taking the time to share your review with all of us. I love my 7310! I think it is a super value for a saw of that size.👍👍👍

My Boss has both the 572 and the 620 echo that you personally modified. My favorite is the 572, but the 620 being lighter and pretty powerful for the weight is a sweet saw and sounds mean. I have the 372 modified by you and I'm still getting it broken in. It's sort of comparable to the 572, but not quite the lazer. So it's nice to see the Echo's coming into the market, but at the same time I'm kinda sad to see the 372 xtorq not being the go-to saw anymore. Especially since that is what I'm invested in for my limited budget. I know it will still be a great saw, but it's an ego downer to know it's not going to be "the saw" anymore. 🙂 Good work Donny and crew!

On the top cover locks, I took all of mine out and put a little super glue on the botton washer of all 3. Then reinstalled them and locked them down in place. The washer that glue was applied to, is the only thing stuck down and keeps the entire lock inside the plastic. No more top cover locks falling out. Did mine over a year ago and it's still holding.

Andy mentioned that he tuned the carburetor in the bush. Does the 7310 need a special carburetor tuning tool?

Hey Donny, good points on that video. I came up with a fix for the top cover screws last year. I'll shoot a video on it and tag you. I've really liked mine the way I ported it. Out pulls a 500i. Take care man. 😎👍

Need to cut a grove and put an "E" clip on the bolts... There's a cult following for the 7310's; tuners are getting good gains out of the saws. I've got a 620p that I really like running... I have a nice ported 572 so I don't really "need" a 7310 but I would love to get one. We need an update video after he's had a bunch of time on it....

Ive had a 7310 for about a two weeks and like it a lot more the the 462 I also run . Saldy it got smashed by a dead ash tree. We were taking down hazards and it only broke the recoil, top cover and bent the handle bar. One tough saw it got pinned against anotheri tree on the ground had to cut it out and it survived it very well. If I hadn't gotten out of the way I'd be smashed and in the hospital for sure. Ordered the replacement parts and fixed and its running good as new.
@johngardner3020
@johngardner3020 Год назад
compared to the 462, what do you like better about it?
@briankirwan9588
@briankirwan9588 Год назад
@@johngardner3020 it's a smoother saw, the ergonomics are much better in my opinion, the air filter system is the best I've seen by a lot. It uses less fuel and has the same power as far as can tell. It's definitely not less powerful. The only thing is it takes a while to break in took about 20 tanks on mine. Then you also need to be able to adjust the carburetor correctly. I talked with some people who and they say the main reason they don't like echos is because they don't want to have to tune a carburetor once in a while or do not have the skill and knowledge to do so
@briankirwan9588
@briankirwan9588 Год назад
@@johngardner3020 it is a heavier saw when you way the two of them on scale but I can run the 7310 longer with out being tired don't notice the weight difference at all because it more comfortable to use.

My 7310 has been a disappointment from about day one. It's so bad now it won't even pull chain even with the new clutch assembly the dealer installed. It's only about a year and a half old and has significant power loss. Think I got a lemon. It's back in the shop now so we'll see.

I've got a xp385, cs620p and just got the cs 7310p, the echo salesman said if I take the hi low locks off and adjust the carbs on the echos it cancels the warranties. Any ideas on that?
@nothanks9050
@nothanks9050 9 месяцев назад
Put them back on if its going in the shop! Never needed work during the warrenty period on 8 different echo units, just basic maintenance and servicing you do yourself, it's all been reliable for me so far. Even my little trimmer with hundreds of hours over 5 years only recently needed a carb diaphragm easy cheap and not even its fault really, where I am even the better fuel still has some ethanol content.
