• STIHL CHAIN VS OREGON... Ported Echo cs 7310. Husky 572, and the Stihl 462 racc . Walkers saw shop called me to give them a hand testing the ported 70cc saws
ALL 3 SAWS ARE PORTED BY THE SAME MAN ...take a look at the size of the round at 20:05 husky 572,,,,,,,, then take a look the round at 9: 45 stihl 462. the stihl had the fastest cut as it was cutting less wood, only buy points of a second... a great lil' saw. strong . the saw of the day decided by two fellas who have had power saws in the mittens for quite some time.. was the husky 572 . chain speed , pull, the whole way around. .tough on the stihl guys but. that just today , if ya all like this type off stuff and wont get yer feelns' hurt when yer favorite brand gets beat , we'll do some more of this .. spread love now friends .. be kind
I'm all about it. I love my echos and I'm fine seeing it get beat time wise. They are all great saws and it comes down to personal preference. I love the sound and feel of echos and that's the closest reliable dealer I have. I also prefer the traditional choke.
Picking any of these 3 saws shouldn't make anyone think to themselves "oh maybe I should have gotten the other one". They're so close! It's all about what you prefer in the end, can't go wrong. I personally would take the 462 over the husky for example just for the 10% less weight and a bit better low end torque. But for a 60cc I prefer 562 over the stihl's 362, hah. Remember lads, cookie cutting isn't what we use these saws for, 1-2 seconds of time difference in a 20 second cut is nothing, you don't cut trees on a stand with a perfect angle in the forest, there are so many other things to consider. Also, porting and all those changes make all these saws completely different beasts in performance.
Good sound from all three saws could you run a 555 husg and a Stihl ms250 and a husg 354 if it is possible and say which is the best one you think please
I have a smaller ported echo and my friends make fun of me when we go woodcutting because I have an echo. I usually make them eat crow when my echo with 20 less cc’s will cut twice as fast as their saw that they spent 3 times the money on. I love echo and will not go back.
They especially hate it when you pull out the other echo or echos you bought with the money you saved lol I bought 3 echos recently for less than the price of 1 Stihl. Love echos never let me down.
Stihls with M-Tronic carbs don't even work here in Texas when the temp is 100 and above. Yet the Echo CS-590 Timber Wolf only grows stronger . . .its over 2 yrs old, in its 2nd 20" Echo bar and 2nd sprocket now, and still feels like it's only getting better. Tree trimming and removal is my profession, so it gets used every day in the week or sometimes every other day in a week depending on amount of business. I take care of my saws but I use them HARD. The CS-590 gets a lot of dirty jobs like stumping level to the ground, root cutting, limbing bigger limbs out of Siberian Elms full of disgusting rotten tree p!ss. It won't outcut my Stihl MS362 but it's close to it when the temp is 100+ and my 362 is vapor locking constantly. I had a Stihl MS441C (that's a M-Tronic carb saw) bought used but near new from the pawn shop. In 100+ temps, it would only make about 6 or 7 cuts in big stumps before it turns into Wah wah wah, wah NOTHIN!! I turned it back to the pawn shop as a defective item. Had it for 4 months and it always cut fine up into the mid 90 degree temps. SO! Needless to say, I'm SUPER STOKED for a 73.5cc saw from ECHO!! Just have to get all the car and truck problems taken care of first. 😬
And yes, I just found out about the Echo 7310p 2 days ago! WTF!? How have I missed this for 8 months!? Idk, but I need it TOMORROW to take down a 45 ft P!SS ELM!! HAHA!! Chainsaw Berzerker in World War Tree
Buckin you just made my day. I'm working on the side trying to get my name going and I primary use echo. I'm very interested is the 7310. Thank you for doing this sir and thank you for all that you do.
Not to discredit that 572 in any way, cause it's an absolute animal, but it clearly is the most worked up saw. The stihl isn't far behind it from the sounds of it but doesn't quite equal it. The echo definitely has more to give when the other two are pretty much optimized. I've seen, from other builders, that an equally heavily ported 7310 equals or surpasses their version of a ported 572, and definitely surpasses this 7310. He definitely has the most experience with the huskies and jonsereds, with stihl not far behind. He seems to be getting into the Echos pretty good lately so I'm excited to see what he can do with a 7310 when he pushes them as far as the 572 is.
Im a stihl ,husq, guy i love both saws eco is a great saw great power reliable as well i just dont like how eco feel in my hands comparing to husq and stihl but withe the power and price you get from eco you can not beat that but, I personally think husq's feel the best the issue i have with husqy's is it has been hard lately to get parts for them.
I don’t know about the 7310 but I have 2 if the echo 590 Timberwolf and for the money you can’t beat them on average around here 400 buck out the door for a 60 cc saw isn’t bad I think there 420 with the 24 inch bar and I also love the huskies
I ran Sthil for years. I bought an Echo 590 3 years ago cause it was a good price. I didn't expect much. It's been a great saw, I've cut about a 1000 cord with it. Spent about 200 bucks on maintenance. Really great saw, very reliable.
For the price point and warranty I think I would go with the echo, now only if the echo would have had a wrap handle that would be icing on the cake! Great video Buckin 🤙
I just bought the Echo CS620PW 27" today. Guess what the wubble u stand for? That's wight, WAP, as in full wrap. 4.5HP tuneable, 27" bar with LPX full chisel $673 taxed and shipped. Yeah, for once I paid MSRP and the government. I could only find one US dealer had four that now has three in stock that does online sales and ships. After days of calls I felt lucky to get what I wanted; my choice. Next is a Granberg type mill and a ripper to slice slabs. I'm chomping at the bit to buck next winter's firewood.
As a porter myself I too liked the Echo. I think it had good workable power and the cylinder has some real potential in it. I think if Don has the time to develop it there is quite a bit left on the table. I am a major Husky fan and not too keen on Sthil at all but the 462 had great chain speed but clearly not a lot down low. As a work saw I'd take the Echo over the Sthil but over all the Husky won this round. I'm seriously considering buying an Echo and porting it.
I don't care if my brand gets beat...there is always going to be something better..but if there yours and you love them then who cares....love it buckin
I have a brand new 7310 sitting in the shop ready to go! this motivates me even more to get out there and start ripping into some big logs! Love and blessings to all comrades and new subscribers! ❤️💪🪓 Lieutenant Bradley
@@craigernest4373 It will be interesting to see for certain. He didn't sound thrilled about the new fancy stuff inside it, but I've seen really good reviews. Can't wait to see him put it to the test!
HEY BUCKIN come on with it for me need bigger chainsaws get on up there 90, 95 100 CCS ported chainsaws more power, more pull big chainsaws for big wood w chisel chain OMG 1 23 2022
I'm a husky man as well, but my only problem lately with them is the dealers are disappearing and there only available at the big box stores. I could've bought a new 572 for 850 dollars but didn't because they are the only dealer around and they are so far behind on warranty work you gotta wait months to get your saw fixed if need be. I have run a few great echos. I climb with one actually. Cost matters too. Echo wins in my opinion.
If you think the Stihl sounds awesome you should have heard a ported plain old 0 series. A 036 or a 044. You would probably cry.The Echo comes closer to that sound the old Stihl saws had.
First I want to say how much I enjoy your channel. I really know you don’t like stihl me I own a 041 I bought new back in the 70s I have a 241 and a 461. I have one husky. Spent more trying to keep it running and finally just stop using it many years ago my stihls are running great. Guess I got a bad taste for husky. But my friends love them. I know you love them.
Im working on a bread bowl for my daughter inlaw. But with a Bucking video chainsaws. What else can l say.Now lm in a good mood. So Bucking Army have a great day.
Happy Thursday friends, it will be a good day, got my daughter a new bike, just donated 2 truckloads of split wood to single moms around my valley, delivered and stacked of course. Page right outa the buckin handbook :-) I’m just feelin stoaked today friends just a all around good day.
Hey everyone I hope yea are doing good be kind and grateful and if there is anyone that's is felling let someone now or let use now and we will try to help u out
I am not some long time follower of this channel or a fanboy, I've watched a couple of videos, but man there are some points that jump at you immediately. Billy is an incredible man with a huge empathy and that life spark we all kind of wish we had or are striving toward. Not everyone is capable of being so composed and in line with the people that soround you or the stuff that happens to you that you have no control off, but a bit more of this positive vibe and energy that Billy is full of, would do us all some good. It's so nice to see a man who's content with what he is and does, especially in today's world of conflict, money grab, fakery and social media. I would like to add just one more thing... Let us all try to connect on stuff we have in common and talk about the things that connects us, instead of this constant conflict that we're pushed in by the media and people with different agendas..
That sthil is a beast. But I'm a husky man. Lol. That echo is a great saw also. So cool.. it reminds me of the old Ford vrs Chevy conversation around the fire. Then the Dodge guy steps in .lol.. that's the Echo. Be kind!
With all due respect that Echo CS-7310 outperformed all of those saws. I am excited, because!! I just got me one today with with a 32-in bar. It will partner up nice with my stihl 460 Big Bore. Very nice demonstration of the chainsaws keep up the good work Buddy!
The world according to BBR; that’s the world I am living in and it is sweet! The community you have surrounded yourself with is about the closest to heaven on earth as a guy can imagine.. A real inspiration you are, BBR..
The Walkers seem so down to earth good people. Not many family run shops around anymore I would love to visit their shop someday.Would probably walk out with a Walkerized Husqvarna in my hand. Thanks for letting us get to know the Walker crew
@@andybecker2693 Saw has no spark but keeping. Parts are about impossible to find. :( I picked up a 590 Timberwolf a couple years ago that I'm really liking.
@@bhall7997 The CS 590 is the best saw for the money. Not to mention it is the only saw in the farm/ ranch category with a metal pro style crankcase. Probably has a lot more power than the “evil twin” saw and more fuel efficient. Hopefully some day you can find the parts for it.
This is really getting me excited to port one of my saws! I’ll be happy if it still runs when I’m done! Nice saws every last one! Fun video! Love from Idaho❤️
Buy a degree wheel. Machine the base to get correct squish and open the bottom of the transfers a little and you will feel that. If you rise the exhaust that will move the powerband up. But once you lift it to say 95 ATDC you will need to do a lot more than just that to really get it to run at full potential. I have a lot of dead jugs from my early days so do not cut your OEM. Go and buy some cheap chines thing and hack into that. You will stuff it up and many more before you get the results you are looking for. Its very addictive and some 10 years on I'm still keen to get even more power. What Don did here with that 572 was pretty special. It took him just one jug to get it right. That is huge experience. I'd need more than one.
I own a CS-352, great saw for 2 years... then it could not go to high speed and cut, would just bog down and die. So I went to Echo to get a new carb(yes I tried cleaning it multiple times before this drastic step) and the cost of the carb was as much as the saw. So now it sits next to my not running Homelite, in the shit corner of my shed... My husky rancher and Jonsored have the honor spot in the garage for a reason - they work! At 75, I am slowing down so I do not cut as many trees anymore, mostly for storm damage in the forest, but when you need a saw it has to start...
Really Buckin? I timed every cut, and as near as I can tell, the Stihl was faster than the Echo by a full second, and the Husky struggled to keep up with the Echo. I understand that your a Husky Fan and that it feels better in your hands, and that it is your choice of saw, but viewing the video seems to indicate that the Stihl killed the competition. Is the Stihl stock? Both the Husky and the Echo had "Walkerized" stickers but I couldn't see one on the Stihl, nor could I tell if the Stihl had a reworked muffler? If that Stihl is stock, it really killed the competition!
My old Husky 359 kicked the bucket. Ended up buying the Echo CS620PW 27". I'll break it in slow and easy before modding, save for changing out the stock air filter and carb adjust to 11k rpm. Rebuild the 359 on a stormy day in February for a back up.
So I googled walkers saw shop just to see where it is. It's AMAAAZING to see Vancouver island. It must just be incredible to live there!!! I'm a geography nerd so it fascinates me. I'm in Florida by the way lol
Buckin your 266 I'm sending you shipped out today yes I change my name thinking about starting my own business not sure after maybe I get a few more saws under my belt
I would too! I have property at 8000 ft and 5000ft and have struggled sometimes with having to retune going back and forth. The M-tronic has done okay, but I’ve considered buying the 500i because of it. I’d love to hear Buckin’s thoughts on it first, though!
I had no idea. I thought I would offend you by saying all I have ran is husqy and echo. Up until this episode it's been older saws and stihl I have watched you run? How far do you guys take a race motor? Any idea on power? Programmable ignitions? Air samplers at the race ? I've never done a chainsaw motor..but 72hp from 250cc single. 44hp from a 125 single. I can see how the chain tune can work with or against your power band and wood conditions. I would imagine you have a few chain patterns to choose from? Kind of like the paddle tire in the sand dunes? Or tires on a race car? Work load vs hp/tq. Want a little spin but not too much. I think it would be painfully tedious but I think a full expansion pipe, bored carb, micro egt sensor, Programmable ignition, high pin height piston, single ring for quicker acceleration. Nikisil cylinder preferably not sleeved, mild work on exhaust bridge or that area of the piston. I would go to ceramic bearings once to just see back to back. Manhattan oil for premix, im telling you, you will feel a difference in the premix. Getting back on the pipe and having the plug clean..not take just that tick of a second to burn the plug clean again..and I bet you can run rich oil ratios like we do 28:1and have no fouling issues and excellent throttle response while still covering the big end better than any 100:1 oil ever could. It's mainly synthetic with just a touch of castor. I should send you a bottle to try. Not my business. I make no money..i will lose money sending you some of mine. I think so highly of it. I trust motul as well but it loads the plug up a tick and I can feel it. You want a lot of advance in the beginning as as you run up to the big end you retard the timing to prevent detonation. Why a programmable ignition is nice. Your race saw should get race gas with no chance of moisture and repeatable octane. I have a novel idea as well... measure the parasitic loss of different chains and bar designs? I think gains could be made there.. my first thoughts of a race saw. Some of them might not be legal. Also having an engine idle...in a 2 stroke is much much more important than people realize..especially those that do a long dyno pull up to the big end...you get out of the throttle and if the engine doesn't naturally idle it receives no gas when you get out of it ..at high rpm...no gas....no oil....bang... I never stuffed cranks. We always wanted volume for the big end. Change the compression through different thickness base gaskets and or cut heads..my 250cc motor sits up on 4 base gaskets for my crazy port timing and runs a 40.25mm carb and would gladly take more.. So friend. Keep punching those leaners in the gut. I'm in northwest Montana btw. I see a nice lake by your house? Do any fishing? I go down here at Flathead lake a bunch. I'm also curious what one of your axes goes for? I bought something I thought would be nice but it was more expensive than nice .I wish I watched you first ..I found you because I finally got a descent axe (when tuned) and was interested to learn about double bits...watched your double bit and I been listening and talking about you to my friends ever since friend.. God bless. Hope you had a great day! Want to order 2 shirts tonight (axe of kindness and bucking stand) unless I should save that money for a double bit splitting axe.
Those ridges on the filter cover of the 7310 aren't there just to look nice. They are designed to deflect branches and other debris from smashing the cover. Also, too much movement between the handle and engine ( like the amount you show on the Stihl and the Husqvarna) can play hell with throttle linkage and the intake manifold boot. More is not good.
Buckin Billy are you Single?....I think you are awesome...!!!!....Why do you guys pull on the pull cord after turning saws off? I love this Video...The relationship with the local Power Equipment Store.....Thank You
watched since 6000 subs. carpenter but love chainsaws ands don't get to use them enough. I like stihl myself but watching you i think cutting wood unites us.
I love my saws. All of them. If I’m honest, I’m an echo man through and through.... I was looking at the 7310 and after watching this video, I’m sold. The real question is... should I have it walkerized🤔😂😂
Bless you Donny Walker. Bless you Buckin' for taking us over there so we can see what a Wlakerized saw runs like. The torque is something that I need to learn more about. Could you please ask Donny what he did to increase the torque??? He has a way of explaining things I can understand!!!
