Andy just found your channel it’s nice to see Echo getting a piece of the action. I own 5 Echo saws ,a CS-620p, CS-600p, CS530,CS-400, CS-370 and then I have 3 Stihl saws. I made a muffler mod and carburetor change to my 400 now it rips. You wouldn’t know it’s 40cc
Hey Andy cool looking merchandise you got there. Thanks for the shoutout. Sure was windy that day. I’ve heard lots of good things about Echo saws. Looks like it cut good, nice when the log is off the ground like that.
Yeah it does makes it so much nicer when it off the ground like that. And the echo saws are nice 1)lesser price 2) echos theory is if its not broke don't fix it.
Thanks for making this video. It was the one I was looking for. had a hard time finding one, that compared those two saws. Good to see how they cut the size logs that I cut. thanks
Nice Video Andy. Nice Chatting with you! This is Darin! I've never used a echo...those cut and run Really nice. They don't seem to stall out or chain loosen on you. Good job!
Love the echo saws. I run the 620pw with a 27” bar and have the CS- 3510 for small odd jobs. Got the 501p on back order and will be quite happy when it shows up.
I'll give you that one, but alot of people underestimate the cs501p, thats an awesome all around saw. Now my cs490 small trees and limbing. If I have a good tree like the maple I was cuttingin one of these videos my goto saw is the cs590 absolutelylove that saw..
My opinion only, but if you're looking for 1 saw to do everything the smallest I would go is the 490 or the 4910, I put the 18" bar on my 490 and absolutely love it, but I do still have the 20" if I ever need it. These are both 50cc saws and they weigh right at 10pds, sorry speaking for the 490
@@outdoorswithandy732 I cut some large trees from time to time, and my cousin has a 490. Good saw, but if you ever use the 590 Timber wolf, you will see the difference. Night and day the power. You would have to try one to know this.
I started watching your vidios last week I have Stiel MS 310 20 inch bar 52 cc and old echo 32 cc saw. Live in Va cut hard wood oak locust etc really leaning toward buying the 590 59 cc saw for the money looks like great saw. I cut probably 15 to 25 cirds a year
That 590 is an awesome saw, my dealer sells it with the 24" bar and I've heard alot of people sell them with the 20" either way can't go wrong. Thank you very much for subscribing really appreciate it.
Got a 590 last fall. Worked great in western PA for felling large oak and ash. I also use it for cutting firewood for camp. Would you recommend purchasing a 24in bar for large trees described above?
Nice job Andy. Good luck with the channel you got another sub here. Glad you won't lose your nuts! HaHa lol I couldn't resist. I've been looking to get a first saw so it would be an all round saw but been debating on which way to go. I'm sure if your on a ladder or in a tree a small saw like a 25-35 cc is the ticket but they're a little small for tree felling.
First off ladder and tree don't mix. In my opinion only a good all a round saw either the cs 490 or the 501, there both light weight and around 50cc saws. Now it also all depends on how many times a year your gonna use it, I have a cs310 with a 16" bar like 8 pds, but once or twice a year dropping 6 to maybe 9" trees that saw would work just fine. If you a have a good dealer to work with check them out and go from there. But on the good note thank you for subscribing really appreciate it and happy holidays to you and your family.
Zdravím z České Republiky, moc pěkné video a dobrá práce. Všiml jsem si, že na obou pilách používáš hodně dlouhé lišty. Pokud to není vysloveně nutné, používám u slabší pily raději kratší lištu, jde pak agresivněji do řezu a není tolik namáhána. Jinak pily Echo jsou velice dobrá volba.
thank you for taking the time to watch the videos. in my operation I have changed a few things, but depending on the tree determines the size of bar I use. most common bar for me is a 20"-24" bar. on these saws is the video I ran a 20" on the big saw I ran the 24" because that's what came stock on them. on my cs490 I have down graded to an 18" because that saw really performs best with it. but thanks for watching and hope you enjoy future videos.
The 501P looks like it could do with a shorter bar in the bigger wood. How do you like it from a weight and performance standpoint? I'm currently trying to figure out if I want to get a 361P or a 501P to pair with my 620PW/
From what I've read the 361 is only a 35cc saw and weights 8.4 pounds. The 501 weights 10 pounds but is a 50 cc saw, for the money I would with no doubt go with the new 4910 which is the exact same saw as the 501 but with different part numbers on a few parts but is approx 100 less. The 310 and 361 are real close to the same cc. There is no comparison the 4910 or 501 will absolutely smoke the 361p weight and performance are incredible. I almost wish I had my 501 back. It was that nice of a saw. As far as the bar. I have a 490 that I'm putting the 18in on but actually measures 16 I think it will do alot better with that size bar, but time will tell.
The Internets if you are not in a hurry the 501p will work. It is nothing like the big brother 620p which is a decent saw. I have both 620PW and the 501p since the 620 impressed me so much. The 501p is a dog and needs a muffler mod to make it decent it looks like. Since I don’t like altering my saws I switched to Husqvarna and got a 550XP Mark II. Now that is an amazing 50cc saw. The best thing I can say about the 501p is it is super reliable and light.
Heyheyhey, FIRST thing I was thought was to let the saw do the work, stop swinging it in the wood of not needed, gonna save a lot of energy on the end of a working-day ☺️
That is buhr oak, sorry I didn't see the video title when I responded. This was maple if I remember right, and don't remember much if I put a new chain on or what I did before cutting
#80. Thinking about picking up the Timberwolf, just not sure it's enough for what I want it to do. Noodling big rounds, stump work, and some occasional milling. My ms250 just isn't enough. I'm near Fort Wayne. I'll check out Pro Line
I actually had the ms250 and I burnt it up within the 1st month of using it, now the cs590 is an awesome saw, im actually going to Michigan this coming weekend and I'll make a video cutting some approx 30" and I'll also cut them in half. I'll probably have it uploaded Sunday morning. If you can go to new haven and ask for jeff, he's the owner. Hell take really good care of you.
@@outdoorswithandy732 Yeah that’s what I ve heard about the 620 pw great saw I know a little bit about the 562 husqvarna but is twice the price of the 590 The only problem with the 620 is that looks kind of heavy I would like something more light weight Thanks 🙏
What the hell are you talking about? I seen your 1 video with your Stihl MS362. Either you don’t know how to cut or your chain is dull is what I would say to your rude ass. Anyway a Husqvarna 562XP will out cut that Stihl and a Echo 620 will keep up or out cut it in larger wood as it has great torque. The Echo just needs a better filter. The 501p is a slow saw I will give you that but it is light and reliable.
