This is my review of Echo's PAS 2620. I am not affiliated with Echo in any way. I think this is a great option if your looking for a high quality, commercial grade unit.

Nice overview. The only thing I don't care for is the two knobs for the air cleaner cover. I can see the bottom knob getting forgotten, and a lot of trash running through the carb.

Thanks Lawnmower Lady! That's a good point. I appreciate you checking out my videos again.

Looks like they removed the grease-hole on the trimmer head. There is a blank pad where the grease-hole used to be. 3:14 .

I got the same system, but I got the high torque head. I barely use it because it's heavier then my Redmax bcz260ts. Echo cuts good. I might buy this regular head & compare them against each other

I think you'll like it. Its worked well for me...cuts down everything I want it to with ease. Thanks for checking out my channel.

@@theshopprojects I bought it from HD, but thought I was having a store pickup, it's getting mailed to me. I got 3 HD within 5 miles of my home

I’ve got both I prefer the pro torque usually. The normal head is nice for thinner lines cause it loads faster and higher rpm. The pro torque runs big stuff so much better though no bogging even with tall and wet grass.

That's good to know Zack. I've wondered how much of a difference the high-torque head would be.

@@theshopprojects yeah for most people the regular head would probably be better I guess if you just do your home once a week it runs thinner line great. If you use your trimmer every day though the pro torque is worth the extra cost will fit line as big as .130 and spin it as well as the normal head spins thin stuff. The benefit is that it will not bog in thick grass causing your trimmer to dip down and mess up your level grass. Also because you can run thick line it will last much longer against fences and cement. It does spin slower though so you will be on the throttle more when you need it to be going quickly so you use more gas. If I had to pick one it would be the pro torque though when connected to the pas 2620 it is one of the best trimmer setups I’ve ever used. The echo matic head that comes in the pro torque is great also one of the easiest to load I’ve used that isn’t a speed loader and feeds very well.

Nice review. I am considering the PAS225 series which is the 21.2 cc engine rather than the 25.4. It also can take certain attachments. Do you think it would be too under powered for an average homeowner or could I get by with it? I do like that it is almost a pound lighter. And it still excepts .095 line. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Craig, First, thank you for checking out my video...it's much appreciated. Second, I don't have any experience with the PAS225, but based off of everything I have ever read and heard about it, I think it will have plenty of power for a homeowner. I've even seen the 225 used by commercial lawncare businesses. I'm not trying to be biased, but I don't think you can go wrong with an Echo. They also have one of the best warranties in the business. Good luck, and let me know how it turns out.

@@theshopprojects Thank you so much. I think I am going with the 225. I am 62 and as I am getting older, the weight of everything I use becomes more of an issue. I held a 225 at Home Depot and really liked how light weight is was and how I could stand up straight. I am olny 5'8", but my Ryobi is heavy and I am bent over while using it the whole time. Killer on my back. Thanks again and I will let you know my thoughts after using the 225 for a few months. Respectfully, Craig Hellberg.

@@craighellberg4366 I talked to Echo. They don't recommend using PAS-225 with the straight edger attachment. This can cause the engine to fail due to high RPMs. For straight edge attachment, they recommend PAS-2620.
